I always love when he uses the "they're not intelligent" argument. Because why would anyone work hard, or "play intelligently" as Dave puts it, when you can get better results with half the effort? That's called being proficient and, you guessed it, playing actually intelligently!
The only reason DSP isn't evo champion in every fighting game is because there isn't a stick in the world that doesn't drop his inputs. That and the people who never stop playing games they love, those people are aholes for daring to play more than DSP. He deserves to win.
I love the way he always declares 'pattern play' as some kind of non-timed, unskilled, invalid tactic. Street Fighter games are literally just made up of patterns we scrubs refer to as 'combos'. You can look them up in the menus. Some of these 'combo' patterns can counter or cancel less advantageous 'combo' patterns. Perhaps Phyllis' skill issue where he claims to intelligently 'mix up' things is because that means he's just mashing buttons, which of course will have his moves failing in the face of his opponents 'combo' patterns.
DSP: "You don't know what you're talking about. Ack ack! Clearly I was blahcking and the game gave them their combo! They mash jab! Jab, jab, jab, jab jab, jab! I couldn't do anything! Wow, what a great player. All because I couldn't blahk!"
im convinced that these people dont even want a fighting game. they want a winning sim where the only two moves are punch and kick, and there's no tech or cool flash to draw in an audience. they just want to play a game where the decisions they make are 100 % correct 100 % of the time, and its starting to go from funny to just kinda sad and pathetic how much they bitch and moan instead of improving. also, i know this has been said about ltg already, but damn; recently, ive started to understand more and more why he's called the black dsp

"That's what I mean, like, I'm trying to actually mix up. I'm trying to get an opening for a combo. He just gets to throw out mid-range safe shit, cause these archetypes with crazy dash cancels all play the same." Phil, the parry dash into overhead is slow. That is a mixup and is unsafe. And drive rush is a universal mechanic. 4:40 "In the first game, he dash-cancel overheaded and it hit me anyway. I didn't even do anything!" You mashed a button and got counter hit. "How much of a crazy frame advantage did it get on the dash cancel that the overhead that is usually slow as dirt actually beat my attempt to block from neutral?" That isn't how the mechanic works, DSP. It doesn't remove startup frames. 6:00 "Instead of playing a fighting game, I'm guessing a rock paper scissors game. That should happen like once in a blue moon in a fighting game, not every moment." THAT'S WHAT A MIXUP IS 6:55 "Look, he really earned this combo, right? He earned it right? By just mashing. Mashing it out." Punish counter dragonlash, link from light, drive rush normal, ken dash cancel, light jab link to target combo, ken dash tatsu. Yeah I'd say he earned that, Phil. It is much more impressive than the combos you pull off. You would probably drop the timing at one of the links or dashes and complain about lag. 7:40 "Of course! He empty jumps and it still lets him do his move!" He didn't do a move. He just blocked. 10:15 He does a drive rush combo here. Why is it okay when you/Blank do it, DSP? 10:25 I was not ready for his reaction to dropping it here lmfao 10:30 (mashing on his stick intensifies) "Whu I couldn't do anything!" I guarantee you he was trying to do reversal level 3 but didn't time it right with the charge. 11:50 You can hold start to vote for no contest. Even with the game running at half speed he still mashes so much Jesus Christ. 12:35 "I threw out medium kick," "Jab jab jab jab jab jab," "You know where that came from? Street Fighter 5", "Street Fighter 4 didn't have that. All of a sudden in Street Fighter 5, everyone got completely safe hit strings that are completely no risk all reward." Take me back to the good old days when pokes didnt exist. When fast moves werent fast. When you couldnt pressure because everything was unsafe. This didn't happen Phil, you're delusional. 13:00 "Fighting games have really dumbed down their inputs, starting with Street Fighter 4, and I think each implement of the games 4, 5 and 6, have done it worse and worse, to the point that I am so used to strict inputs that I accidentally get half moves." This is also wrong, 6's inputs are stricter than 5's. FWIW, SF2's inputs were more lax than SF1 so it actually started back then DSP 14:45 "Everyone's doing exactly the same guessing game in the corner." IT'S A MIXUP, DAVE "But still, the amount that you can do the dash cancel? You can do about three or four of them." No you can't, it uses 3 out of 6 bars each time you cancel into it from a normal. It only uses 1 if you do it from a parry, but then it is easier to just poke them out of it.
I think the interesting thing about DSP constantly accusing his opponents of getting rewarded with combos for guessing is that you can’t really combo off of a guess. With the amount of intentional inputs you need to do to properly capitalize on a move connecting, sometimes even before the move visually connects, they would have to be sure that they would hit it… so not just guessing, especially for unsafe options.
I love how this guy equates a bunch of nerds in an arcade. Phil, nobody thinks street fighter skills translate to actual fighting…well, nobody but piggy. Except when it’s time to fight Phil only knows one khambo - cry, ask for mercy and blame alcohol.
I think maybe another week tops before he starts saying the game is too unbalanced and laggy and he doesnt want to play it anymore. he said the same thing for SF5 and Fighterz.

7:16 what fucking kills me about this is he didn't complain about the "false imput" until he git hit, meaning he's absolutely just trying to cover his ugly ass. Not that that wasn't already obvious but especially so here
he can't execute strict inputs consistently either. Couple years ago he went into training mode in super turbo and couldn't do dragon punches from the player 2 side.
He says the fast characters are all the same but then he'll only play characters who are grapplers or have a full screen safe dashing attack. Somehow getting in and pressuring your opponent then executing difficult combos is not real fighting game gameplay while... shooting your body across the screen in a blanka ball or lily bird dive or honda headbutt and fishing for a grab is true meaningful content

10:33 "I didn't do anything" Yet, if you look frame-by-frame, Blanka was clearly in a moving animation as if Dave went into panic and tried to move out of the way or jab to gain the victory instead of blocking

6:55 "Look, he really earned this combo, right? He earned it right? By just mashing. Mashing it out."
Punish counter dragonlash, link from light, drive rush normal, ken dash cancel, light jab link to target combo, ken dash tatsu.
Yeah I'd say he earned that, Phil. It is much more impressive than the combos you pull off. You would probably drop the timing at one of the links or dashes and complain about lag.
7:40 "Of course! He empty jumps and it still lets him do his move!"
He didn't do a move. He just blocked.
10:15 He does a drive rush combo here. Why is it okay when you/Blank do it, DSP?
10:25 I was not ready for his reaction to dropping it here lmfao
10:30 (mashing on his stick intensifies) "Whu I couldn't do anything!"
I guarantee you he was trying to do reversal level 3 but didn't time it right with the charge.
All of a sudden in Street Fighter 5, everyone got completely safe hit strings that are completely no risk all reward."
Take me back to the good old days when pokes didnt exist. When fast moves werent fast. When you couldnt pressure because everything was unsafe.
This didn't happen Phil, you're delusional.
13:00 "Fighting games have really dumbed down their inputs, starting with Street Fighter 4, and I think each implement of the games 4, 5 and 6, have done it worse and worse, to the point that I am so used to strict inputs that I accidentally get half moves."
This is also wrong, 6's inputs are stricter than 5's. FWIW, SF2's inputs were more lax than SF1 so it actually started back then DSP
14:45 "Everyone's doing exactly the same guessing game in the corner."
IT'S A MIXUP, DAVE
"But still, the amount that you can do the dash cancel? You can do about three or four of them."
No you can't, it uses 3 out of 6 bars each time you cancel into it from a normal.
But phil thinks is all safe
Hit confirms 🤷♂️
Hate to defend the pig but you are incorrect
@@dannywright1317 you cant hit confirm every move, I'd know, i play cammy
You cant confirm off 2MK you need to go into drive rush immediately
@@V2ULTRAKill I never said you could, I was just pointing out your statement was wrong as hit confirms exist.
@@dannywright1317 most characters can only confirm off of jabs outside of a counterhit so not necessarily
How is he constantly getting placed into Platinum?
He picked that he was a pro when you first start ranked. Even if you lose all placements you’ll basically get like gold-plat with that setting.
@@autumn2ashes211 Pretty BS if you ask me.
@@TheSpectre2300 Agreed lol
I love how this guy equates a bunch of nerds in an arcade. Phil, nobody thinks street fighter skills translate to actual fighting…well, nobody but piggy. Except when it’s time to fight Phil only knows one khambo - cry, ask for mercy and blame alcohol.
I hope the devs at Capcom sleep well knowing what they did to our Prince.
I think maybe another week tops before he starts saying the game is too unbalanced and laggy and he doesnt want to play it anymore. he said the same thing for SF5 and Fighterz.
okay but in his defense, he couldn't block.
This is a 40 year old man. Really think about how fucking sad that is.
Just taking a shot in the dark here... but imma guess that there's SOMEBODY out there that uses Blanka... that knows how to beat

banana intro @ 1.5x speed is tasteful
I am hearing more of the SF6 outro than I ever have, he's complaining that long
Considering he has been complaining of dropped inputs for years I feel like any sane person would realise it must be them not doing the commands correctly.
why arent blanka's tools saving the business??? or the skins he bought????
7:16 what fucking kills me about this is he didn't complain about the "false imput" until he git hit, meaning he's absolutely just trying to cover his ugly ass. Not that that wasn't already obvious but especially so here
he looks like hes about to stroke out any second
Phil acts like he doesn’t try to spam the same 4 moves with blanka 😂😂😂
Ken in this game is so safe and busted dude surely when DSP gets around to playing ken it will be smooth sailing
we have got even more salt than i thought was possible from this game big ups to the devs of sf6
he can't execute strict inputs consistently either. Couple years ago he went into training mode in super turbo and couldn't do dragon punches from the player 2 side.
The number of times his opponent does something unsafe and Phil just sits there doing nothing is painful.
Police - You didn't signal back there where you caused that deadly pile up
DSP - IT'S NOT COMING OUT WTF DOOD!!!
This is my first real sf game, I’m also stuck in platinum and even I know that this is not a growth mindset 😭 we all struggle it’s okay if you lose it doesn’t mean the game is busted, we must all get good
"he earns nothing" quite a fitting quote for phils stream lol
Ya know, there is only TWO real reasons he loses all the time. Either that controller is busted OR he just sucks. Knowing Dave like we all know Dave….hell, we all know the answer.
They made modern controls for players like this that can never get the right moves to come out. He should try it
Edit: *Sarcasm alert* …
You do realize he'd get the wrong moves with modern right
@@BovineIntervention this. He is mashing and mashing that controller.
I play modern its so much easier to play and I 100% guarantee it wouldn’t make him any better he’s beyond just bad at the game he’s just bad at life.
"His jahb beat my meedy!"
Yeah. Like what was he expecting?
He can't put 2 + 2 together that if a jab beats your meaty, then you didn't time your meaty properly 😂
@@sergeanthenry9484hit confirming is hard
@taham33 hit confirm? Uh you mean random _____. It wasn't timed ** SNORT **
its funny because I've ran into these dp spam shotos and at first I got mad but then reflected on what I could do different to try and beat them.
dsp on the other hand just gets mad over and over and over instead of learning to play better.
You know sf2st the reactionary game where everyone abuses old engine to lock down and tod combo each other lmao
Bruh said all mid range characters play the same. That’s exactly why he loses
Maybe that ryu player has a lag switch?
The plat player is mad that other plat players are playing at a plat level.
Yes, loved the banana intro
Imagine watching a grown man cry playing video games and then opening your wallet to give him money!
This is what I call the “I can’t do anything show”
This content was very meaningful
Doesn't he get tired of just the same excuses over, and over, and over? Dear lord.
Maximilion Dood: This game is so fun, it's rare to be having so much fun these days
DSP: I hate this gameplay, it's BS, he's just throwing random mid range, every character is the same, this is.... etc etc
I like how DSP still hasn't figured out that you can special cancel into DI
Maybe SF6 needs to implement age brackets, so DSP only has to fight other boomers.
10:33 "I couldn't do anything!" DSP says as he's mashing trying to probably do a super. Too bad his 50 year old reflexes couldn't react to a full screen super.
Ah yes, his inputs are TOO PRECISE. That explains it.
I honestly think today's stream was one of his worse.long bouts of dead air because hes mad he needs to try to win instead of his pattern play in SF2
10:33 "I didn't do anything"
Yet, if you look frame-by-frame, Blanka was clearly in a moving animation as if Dave went into panic and tried to move out of the way or jab to gain the victory instead of blocking
I absolutely love seeing Phil getting knocked the fuck out by Ryu's Level 3
