I have 2 characters in Master, it's tough, man. The rank system changes to the elo rating against another master, so it's much more difficult to earn points. The opponents are much, much stronger as well, the matchmaking stars to put you more against very good players. It seems Phil just wanna get to master and that's it, he is avoiding playing in this rank 😂

A couple years ago I watched a show called Hi Score Girl where one of the main characters did that type of thing with their Zangief on Street Fighter 2 all the way to Alpha 2. Doing a move then jank into the spinning piledriver isn't anything new. Just a Tournament Player Tactic by doing a move to allow you within a hitbox range do spinning piledriver. They explain how to do this on the show. What still gets me is DSP mentions how new he is to Honda. He toted how he went to FGC orientated tournaments on Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo years ago and was one of the top guys and top Honda players. With him saying "he's still new to Honda" I am beginning to wonder if he ever entered that tournament years ago and beaten as many people as he claimed. If he was "that good" then he should be able to get Honda to Master easily.
Little does DSP know that the real challenge begins when you continue playing in Master rank. I wonder if he can maintain a MR of 1300-1500 or higher. He toted how he went to FGC orientated tournaments on Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo years ago and was one of the top guys and top Honda players. With him saying "he's still new to Honda" I am beginning to wonder if he ever entered that tournament years ago and beaten as many people as he claimed. If he was "that good" then he should be able to get Honda to Master easily.

Little does DSP know that the real challenge begins when you continue playing in Master rank. I wonder if he can maintain a MR of 1300-1500 or higher. It’ll better determine where his skills are compared to other masters and top players. Doubt he’ll get as many winstreaks too, and even lower MR players play better than most Diamond 5 players.
