The only credit I'll give him is a lot of joystick parts ARE swappable. Depends on the designer. My cheapest(50 dollar) one allows for upgrades on everything. You can even swap out the control board with a Arduino. 5 seconds of research would have prevented this
If a replacement, Noir conversion plate is available for the Obsidian 2, he could replace just the old Viewlix layout plate. The lever is spaced FARTHER away from the buttons on the Noir plate. I did this on my original Obsidians 👍👍

As someone who owns that exact Quanba arcade stick, I can tell you it fits a majority if the popular joysticks in the scene. It has sanwa buttons and a joystick which a majority of arcade sticks use, and it fits most other joysticks if you devide you want to swap it out. All he had to do was take 2 seconds to google what is compatible with his arcade stick to find that out.
I also don't get why he doesn't just buy a replacement stick for his model and why he needs a whole new fight stick instead when the idea is that you can just replace parts. But he is getting mad that another random stick doesn't work on that board and blaming the company who made it. It's like getting mad that your Ford V8 won't fit in your Honda civic and blaming both companies for it. The modularity actually drives more sales in this market segment. At this price point people want to customize to their exact liking. They also want parts to be replaceable so they don't have to get a whole new thing if something gives out, and if that's ten years on then parts from other companies have to fit too.

I have both the original Qanba and the Qanba 2 and they are both extremely well-made products. The Qanba 2 took me about a half hour to replace the buttons, stick and artwork -- extremely easy. The included parts are well made Sanwa buttons and a JLF joystick, so any changes necessary are usually for cosmetic reasons. I stand by the quality of these sticks, although they are a bit expensive.
I've decimated so many. But I realize I was petulant and probably looked insane at least. DSP has no self-awareness, I bet he somehow believes some of the shit he says. If you can't realize you are the problem you can't ever improve, that's how you end up as Philbert.

The company doesnt expect you to open the box because that board isn't meant to be customized. Why would a company want to make another companys hardware work with their product? It would destroy any hope of spare parts sales. Especially if their hardware is inferior.
It’s like a premium fight stick too, why would they expect people to pay top dollar for it, and then pop out the parts?
The modularity actually drives more sales in this market segment. At this price point people want to customize to their exact liking.
They also want parts to be replaceable so they don't have to get a whole new thing if something gives out, and if that's ten years on then parts from other companies have to fit too.
I watched a guide on youtube that explained how easy it is to change the stick to pretty much any brand of stick (including Hori), once again DSP is just doing everything wrong and refuses to look anything up

I do fightstick and hitbox builds, anyone who knows about this stuff knows you should look up how moddable a fightstick is, like you should understand which parts are compatible before you buy it, no one buys a stick and just expects it to be able to be modded with no research, one single search would have saved so much waste smh, this is supposedly someone who has done this for twice as long as me, its just pathetic and wasteful

I have both the original Qanba and the Qanba 2 and they are both extremely well-made products. The Qanba 2 took me about a half hour to replace the buttons, stick and artwork -- extremely easy. The included parts are well made Sanwa buttons and a JLF joystick, so any changes necessary are usually for cosmetic reasons. I stand by the quality of these sticks, although they are a bit expensive.
they are fine products but you can get custom made for roughly the same price.
This is like the polite version of throwing your controller against the wall and breaking it.
In my 34 years I can't remember ever deliberately breaking a controller, I've had several fail on me, but not because I was being a gammon.
