For those putting down BBCP finals - put it this way: Gallreo lost 0-3 to Dogura in Winner's Final, won over DoraBang 3-2, then beat Dogura 3-2, 3-2. That's 18 sets straight he had to play in extremely emotional states, where he went 9-9 in total sets. There was five separate moments in the Grand Finals where Dogura was on tournament point and couldn't close it out because Gallreo pulled off some crazy miracle comeback (sometimes with only pixels of life left.) And remember this is being shown in front of thousands in attendance, thousands watching at home on Twitch and back in Japan on Nico Douga, and with $35,000 USD on the line and the title of BlazBlue World Champion on the grandest Fighting Game Tournament stage in the world, EVO 2014. BTW, I believe this is the only case I know of in EVO Grand Finals history of someone winning the tournament from losers 3-2, 3-2. Justin Wong came close to doing the feat last year in the UMvC3 finals against Flocker but dropped the very last set, losing 3-2, 2-3.
Dude...that Garireo....one of the most epic things I've ever seen in my life. What a monumental effort. Seriously. What heart, determination. A WILL TO WIN. So awesome.
mathprodigy That's how games SHOULD be. I've been to countless, less important tournies where people just give up and start slacking. You should always bring your A game and always play to win. Until you've lost 3 sets, you haven't lost the game yet.
Garireos' face reaction at the end says it all. Crying tears of joy because he earned his victories over Dorabang and Dogera. He will forever be a legend in BBCP. I hope he makes a return for Evo 2015.
Seriously, that 1st place is like a fucking show. The underdog getting kicked out by his arch enemy, only to train against others and to come back in the last, final gigantic battle. The archrival is cocky at first, but soon realizes that this guy isn't the same one he won against before. This time, it is for real. One round after another they trade, nobody has the upper hand for long. Until that one, final, lucky shot of the underdog... goddamn this is amazing.
E60flip345 That match was literally the only thing that got me interested into blazblue. Then when I saw the astral finishes for Terumi, I knew I had to get it.
E60flip345 You should. It's really fun. I recommend getting Blazblue Chronophantasma Extend. It has all the shits now. I don't think there will be any character DLC in Extend and you get 2 extra characters that were only available in arcades before.
Blazblue managed to get 80k views for its grandfinal. For a niche anime fighter, and considering it wasn't at a desirable time slot, this is a VERY solid reception. With Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Guilty Gear Xrd coming out this year, I have this glimmer of hope that airdashers will dominate EVO next year. The hype is real!
That is my main concern right now about next year's EVO. Blazblue had an amazing showing and a greater finals than most other finals. It would be a real shame if it got thrown out to make way for the other fighters. Even the creator was in tears after what he witnessed on stage. Let's hope that either other games get cut besides blazblue, or even better: Expand the game tournaments to include those too and make the biggest EVO of all time! The only problem with the latter though is the whole "Doing it in three days" thing and scheduling for all those fighting games would probably be a nightmare.
Entirely possible Shadow. Still, we need to see how things shape up for now since it is hard to say which game or games should get slashed to make way for others.
The BlazBlue tournament was completely fucking awesome even beyond the great grand finals! There were some great US vs Japan moments in pools, with the US even occasionally coming out on top. TWO cosplayers in top 8 with Dora striking poses everywhere! Pop's Platinum was hype as hell! A brilliant Tager in top 8! Zero Kokonoes making it to top 8! The grand finals winner breaking down in tears, the runner up's wife breaking down in tears, Mori giving Garireo a huge hug on the stage and then breaking down in tears when talking about the attention his game was getting! It just makes the finals even more amazing when put into context. You could make a movie out of this one tournament!
Number 1 is completely mind blowing and awe inspiring. The insane amount of skill you need to have to be good at BlazBlue is incredibly difficult to attain, so many hours need to be poured in to make sure that you have the combos memorised, the right combos stringed together, and to not mention the damn muscle memory to input the combos correctly every time, because take it from a fairly longtime player, they are really damn hard to get correct every time, especially the longer combos. So to see a player come back from something like that, this is one of the very few times I will justify crying after winning something, because it is a one in a million chance that you could bring yourself back from the brink so many times and end up winning against the very person you initially lost against. Absolutely a highlight of EVO for all time.
I still come back to this and watch the Galileo clips. I'm not even a BlazBlue fan, but watching this dude fight and claw from certain death so many times; you can't help but get emotionally invested in his journey. One of my all time favorite EVO moments.
Dude dressed as Hiryu in the Blazblue top 3 is cool af not only for his outfit and his crazy play/character but for that sportsmanship at the end! He for real...like he said to himself "this guy wants it more than me. fair and square. im gonna support him in front of all these people after losing instead of getting an attitude." The Striders would be proud.
Mel Panugaling My comment was meant to highlight the fact that he's dressed as Bang --- the character he was using ---, not Hiryu. I don't think the stuff about sportsmanship was there in the initial reply. But, by all means, comment more. I want to see where you go with it.
The BlazBlue grand finals were fantastic. Excellent first year on the main stage. I hope this brings some much needed attention to one of the deepest fighting game series on the market right now.
first year on the main stage? i'd go rewatch the last few years of Evo there...this is not BB's first time on the stage. CS1, CS2 AND CSE were all on stage before. it's gonna be back and i hope it'll have all the steam that this year's grand finals had through the entire tournament. it deserves more love and yet, it's still buried by Guilty Gear's shadow after all these years. amazing.
atraSaber that was a side tournament as well. I know hard to believe. that match was super hype, especially since hakumen was considered a low-tier character in CS2 and litchi was top tier. Sparks is phenomenal.
The BlazBlue grand final had everyone on edge. Garireo was constantly being pushed to the brink of defeat but he never gave up. I can't blame the guy for breaking down after winning. Garireo was Evo's hero this year.
I dont play BB, however, that moment right there, is the reason EVERY fighting game player wants to play fighting games, he overcame what seemed to be insurmountable odds, as well as the pressure he must have been feeling would have been enough for any player to crumble at any given point, but he rose above all the adversity and had his head held high. great evo this year
This video is so damn good. This is the video which introduced me to fighting games other than Super Smash Brothers Melee, and honestly, whenever I watch the Blazblue GF, I get chills, and even more, whenever I hear the quote "moments like these are why we play fighting games," I can feel tears welling up. Watching such a set full of emotion, hearing so much emotion from the commentators and remembering my passion for the game, it's not hard to see what makes fighting games so lovable for me. The amount of skill, effort, and passion put in by each player shows, and makes for wonderful moments, like the ones that Max shows off. Please keep making these Max, and none developing fighting games, please show some care for your community, because they care for what you do.
I'm a big Blazblue fan and I am so happy to see how everyone enjoyed Blazblue's showing at EVO this year. Moreover, having the views it did gives me hope and confidence that BB will get alot more attention from the FGC from this point forward. The future is bright for that game franchise thanks to those who entered the BB EVO tournament. :)
Theres alway marvel and killer instinct. Also MKX comes out next year and its completely new mechanics so you can pick it up and not be behind everyone
Jeff, you've seen me play in all the mod videos. I tried doing a perfect recreation of The Showdown through modding but with everyone at Lv 9, which basically makes it harder than the actual Showdown, but gave up after 139,619 tries. I may be exaggerating, but yeah.
I find myself returning to rewatch this video whenever I need uplifted. Watching the No.1 live was one of the hypest things i've ever seen and it's one of those moments i'll remember for a long time. Makes me want to train for next Evo because this video would give me all the drive I need.
Usually, EVO causes a bit of a boost for certain characters you see online. This year, it would not surprise me if it caused a full-out sales boost for Chrono Phantasma. Those finals may have been the most hype grand finals in EVO history.
Blazblue DEFINITELY showed the word its strengths in EVO. Character variety, great technical fighting, many types of metagames, solid core gameplay mechanics, it just had it all. It's a far cry from a few years ago when a Noel player won with the typical Noel offensive vortex in a snoozer of a showing. And now it's arguably one of the best main eventers at Evo. I hope Blazblue continues strong into Evo and hopefully more viewers will be hyped beforehand instead of finding out mid-tourney that this is awesome stuff.
I think this was the best top 5 out of the past ones that Max has done for the fact that this one made me feel like the comebacks were huge and that it was the only top 5 so far to make a few tears come out from the amount of emotion throughout it.
When BB's finals were in the books, I knew nothing else would top it. Glad to see Max and everyone else giving it the respect it deserves despite not playing the game. On another note, Luffy's performance has finally given me an idea on who to main once USF4 physical comes out.
15:33 I love this moment. Everything about Garireo’s run was just incredible. Every time I see that pop off at the end I tear up because of the effort he went through to earn that title of BBCP Champion.
I’ve watched this run so many times and hearing “Moments like these are why we play fighting games” still puts me on the verge of tears. I swear this is like the 200th time I’ve watched that god like run.
Am I the only one who gets choked up in the end when Garireo wins? I've seen this streaming live last year, and seen it many times over and it was the hypest match I've ever seen. I seriously don't think any match to come will ever top this.
The USF4 and BBCP Grand Finals were some of the best games I have seen, and definitely worth the hype that is attributed to it. Both Louffy and Garireo coming out from Losers, resetting the bracket and taking every opportunity to end their long, bitter journey with a triumphant victory as grand champions is the stuff of legends! No amount of hype is enough. This truly was an epic year for EVO!
I come back to see this only for Galileo’s comeback. It’s incredible how hard we works to get to Finals and overcomes the man who sent him to Losers bracket. All hail Galileo.
Hey guys, since I myself was always wondering which tracks were played during the #1, I'm making a comment here, because I finally found out! Beginning at ~11:10 is X-Ray Dog - Fighting Chance and at ~15:00 it's X-Ray Dog - Overcome
The depths to which I had to dive, through crushing amounts of trolls and people parroting the same thing (for a good reason, don't get me wrong), just to finally find this comment. Nephire, my firstborn shall be named after you. Unknown heroic stranger of the internet.
Beautiful, it's incredibly powerful videos like these that keeps fighting games burning strong. I couldn't have asked for a better post EVO hype video Max. Sharing the moments of tears and raised fists as well as the moments of the falls and births of gods.
This was the first year where I actually watched the live streaming, and I'm so glad I did. Got to see the grand finals for Blazblue, UMVC3 and USF4 and they were all an absolute treat to watch. Looking forward to watching next year!
You didn't have to put literally there But anyway you should start playing at least one, I myself play melee and a bit of street fighter, I recommend you play street fighter since it's not as complicated as melee
It took me an entire year for some reason, but now I realize why Dogura seemed so broken after 15:30 happened. When he teched, he didn't block. He had a free punish, but he didn't block. The mind crush is too strong!
I've never played BazBlue but with the music building up the epic come back and the guys reaction at the end when he finally wins looks priceless. Looks like it was a solid event.
As always Max thank you for doing this Hype compilation! I did not see BlazBlue's tourney but seeing it round up like that this brought tears to my eyes. I've never seen a player so intense !
Those Blazblue finals were just amazing. You always thought Dogura was gonna take it, but Garireo always came back and at the end he took it. These Blazblue grand finals were as good or better than the KOF 2012 grand finals.
This is the kind of content the FGC really needs, highlighting the emotional intensity and the highest levels of play with superb audio and video editing.
I watch this video at least once every other month just for the tears of joy watching Galileo's run. It pulls at the heartstrings of competitors who have worked for years to accomplish their goals. Absolutely inspiring. Thank you Max.
Almost a year later and I still get chills from watching this. Only thing is I wish Max would've included the FChamp vs JWong match because the end of that was INSANE HYPE!! :D Can't wait to watch Evo 2015!! :D :D
I have never seen BlazBlue competitive play before this EVO, but I have to say, when I watched Garireo comeback like this, I just knew that this was gonna be the most hype moment in this EVO. Amazing to watch.
People were in tears during the Galileo climb out of losers all the way through the end of grand finals. Every moment it was over he'd climb up and fight and claw and inch his way out. It was incredibly tremendous to watch this man. I have never seen anything like this tourney at the end. This game needs support. This was amazing.
Honestly, 2014 was full of the biggest highlights in the game. Justin reclaimed his throne, Pikachu's schooled out domination against Fox even though Fox is the strongest character, Louffy defeated Bonchan's signature Sagat, Galileo finally defeats Dogura using his Litchi Faye Ling against Dogura's undefeatable Azrael
Damn, I only joined the FGC about a year ago and holy fuck, I wish I was part of it for this year, all 5 of these moments are remembered as some of the greatest moments in all of Evo, and they all happened in one single year one after another.... Holy shit
I was up to see Garireo do that comeback live, my hands were over my mouth in freakin' awe at the sheer passion this guy had for trying to take the crown. It was such a stressful set to watch during Grand Finals and I have insane respect for his perseverance. That definitely deserves to be the most memorable moment of Evo 2014, and it'll be hard to beat.
He has to do something to compensate the editing and cuts he does on the original video :) I'm sure that without music, the full Grand Final is still amazing.
lestatv3 Well, yeah, they were still interesting, especially Smash Bros. and UMvC3. However, due to the music, these moments seemed *a lot* more intense and actually gained a lot more of my interest. So, without the music, they would still be interesting. But not as interesting as they are here, in my opinion.
SuperiorLarxene Hell! I was screaming and jumping in my chair in excitement watching the Blaz Blue grand finals! Hahaha! Can't wait for EVO2015 :) But first, the top 5 videos for each game! :D
"This man is not human right now. This man is not human right now! This man is a legend! This is the birth of a God!" One of the GREATEST commentator lines I ever heard.
number 1 got my full attention. so many comebacks with gariroo. every last round to match point was to much to handle every time he wins a round or point. my god it's like last years KoF comeback. also tears were shed due of this comeback. so glad BB gets number 1 by max's list
Perfect. Really glad you picked Blazblue as number one. I dont know why, but for some reason I thought you would pick something dumb like Killer Instinct, but you made the right choice. That match was definitely the hypest moment for EVO 2014.
I almost did not watch Blazblue finals. I loved the game but I never really enjoyed watching it. So glad that for whatever reason I decide to watch all those matches.
just seeing all these people cheering for Justin Wong, it makes me think, remember back when everyone used to boo that guy? He used to be the villain, now he's the hero.
I believe he's said many times that he just never was able to enjoy the series, same reason why he didn't do much with Persona...but I guess it doesn't hurt to be optimistic.
I applaud your effort, but I just don't think he's gonna do it. We've been asking to begging to pleading, but the fact remains that he's just not into blazblue like that to play it. Again, I applaud your effort, but I don't think it'll happen.
I personally don't think there is any other tournament in the world that encapsulates so much epic moments. Love watching Evo every year and hope to head over some year to experience the event first hand! World tournament epicness!
***** I can give my own opinion and in my own opinion seeing as I own both blaz blue and KoFXIII I can say that Blaz blue is trash, basically be the first guy to out juggle the other guy and win. KoF XIII is basically ruined by competitive play most teams being Ex iori, Kim, and Ex Takuma while yes those guys have hella skill what takes a master to learn is using a unique team. Before top tier trash was added to the game every character had a chance at winning a tournament, with the right amount of skill, of course. Blaz blue was just bad from the start as most anime fighters are. Last year's Guilty Gear Xrd took a great game and decided, "hm I like the skill gap between casual and comp players, let's add tits and over the top anime garbage so the game looks better than it plays"
Thats why i said Competetive KoF XIII was ruined by the DLC characters. Play anybody online and youll see that some teams have excellent synergy with eachother, i personally play Benimaru Kim and Terry/K'/Kensou and they all work excellent together they all play drastically different from eachother so therefore it makes matches all the more fun when you fight someone whos using an unique team as well. KoF is a game of mind, body, and normals my friend :P
I'm so glad all these old videos are back. The whole ordeal with the MCN was definitely a blessing in disguise. I can't wait to see the future content you'll be able to put out. The potential is limitless.
***** What are you talking about? Melee AND Smash 4 are in the EVO line-up this year. shoryuken.com/2015/01/20/evo-2015-lineup-announcement-show-now-streaming-live/
When I was watching the blazblue finals I was at the edge of my seat, the hype lasted so long and it was so fucking strong too. Truly the GOAT moment of EVO. Also, raise your dong for Justin Wong :^)
Galileo definitely had the eye of the tiger! I still think JWong's win was the hypest moment especially with his team. I would have loved to see his win against fchamp! These need to start being top 10 moments. :)
masterchef87 lol i hear all these pro players say you need to play on stick or you don't stand a chance and this guy just comes from no where to expose everyone to win evo with a pad XD
A Playstation 1 pad, no less. He's not exactly out of nowhere though. He's been beating top players like Mago and Xian for the past few years and won a few majors. I've considered him Europe's best player for the past year or so.
M1ss1ngLink One thing about Louffy. He never seems to lose to Fei Long. He's been destroying all the top Fei Longs for the past year or two. And true enough, this year he beat Mago, Gackt and Fuudo on his way to Grand Finals.
I'm glad to see the BlazBlue finals on top 1 and I completely agree. I love watching BlazBlue but I did not expect this hype. I was standing in front of my computer, grasping the table with both hands watching that. It was just insane, Dacidbro was going nuts. Glad I caught that live.
The little nod at the end from dogura totally makes this. its like he's saying "yeah, thats how it should be" I dont even play the fighting games on this list, but just watching them is wonderful.
_"Moments like these are why we play fighting games."_
Goddamn right.
Heeel yeeah! The hype!
max judged some of the evo stuff, i noticed he was in the 'killer instinct' game
That shit wasn't even real anymore... that man is not human. xD
we shed manly tears
Kajex Surnahm hell yeah
For those putting down BBCP finals - put it this way:
Gallreo lost 0-3 to Dogura in Winner's Final, won over DoraBang 3-2, then beat Dogura 3-2, 3-2. That's 18 sets straight he had to play in extremely emotional states, where he went 9-9 in total sets. AnimeGamer0 Exactly one of the most emotional Evo Wins that year
FACTS! J-Wong's attempt was crazy but heartbreaking, this one was pure AMAZEBALLS!!
Dude...that Garireo....one of the most epic things I've ever seen in my life. What a monumental effort. Seriously. What heart, determination. A WILL TO WIN. So awesome.
mathprodigy The birth of a fucking GOD

Max knows what's up! Blazblue was without a doubt the hypest grand finals (and finals in general) of the entire tournament.

They need more than 2 streams and Capcom Fighters.
Entirely possible Shadow. Still, we need to see how things shape up for now since it is hard to say which game or games should get slashed to make way for others.
It's been 6 years and I still watch the epic comeback at number 1.

All those Kokonoe players didn't deserve it except Pain and Jiyuana the rest did not play with their best.
I love how half of the top 16 was kokonoe, too. Basically the top 16 was just weeding out all the kokonoe scrubs XD
Number 1 is completely mind blowing and awe inspiring. Jeff, you've seen me play in all the mod videos. I tried doing a perfect recreation of The Showdown through modding but with everyone at Lv 9, which basically makes it harder than the actual Showdown, but gave up after 139,619 tries. I may be exaggerating, but yeah.
That's the beauty of competitive fighting games, my friend.
I watch the Evo highlight videos back every year but man that Blazblue finals was truly special. Gets me every time.
>Hypest moment on the history of the hypest moments
>No Blazblue this year.
Libe Jenkins Because people didn't like Extend
+Le Dom When it's literally the same game? O
Necromancer !!! Exactly.
People didn't like spending an additional 50$ on an extension that barely adds anything.
+Libe Jenkins just look forward to Blazblue Central Fiction when it comes to consoles, i'm so looking forward to it.
+Le Dom works for street fighter
“HAS THE KING RETURNED?!?”
"HAS THE MARVEL GOD RETURNED TO HIS THRONE?!?"
That phrase is what I’ll remember of EVO 2014
I find myself returning to rewatch this video whenever I need uplifted.
Watching the No.1 live was one of the hypest things i've ever seen and it's one of those moments i'll remember for a long time.
Makes me want to train for next Evo because this video would give me all the drive I need.
Evo 2014
A year of upsets, comebacks, salt, tears, and Baja blast.
Randomly decided to watch BB finals live that day. Was not disappointed at all, that was so damn hype even though I don't know the game very well.
Exactly what happened to me. I just woke up around 9 am that day and hopped on when it was Winner's Final. Literally so hype.
Same here, the hype got to me. After that the emotion from the champ was what made it even greater. Feels all over from that.
"Smash Bros Melee and it's potential final year"
-Watching this in 2017, Melee is still in EVO...
TheKahunaLagoona but finals is at Saturday.
Dammit you caught me off guard... Kudos.
@4:15 A whole room grown men, chanting Pikachu. And this is why fighting games are fucking awesome.
I literally don't play any of these games but this video is fucking amazing.
You didn't have to put literally there
But anyway you should start playing at least one, I myself play melee and a bit of street fighter, I recommend you play street fighter since it's not as complicated as melee
I feel the same way 😂😂
+LegendOfSonic
"not as complicated as melee"
HA
+Super Scrublord
hehe SF is so much more complicated and intense than smash
Command inputs, combos,combo scaling, hypers,guarding
THE VIDEO IS BACK GOD BLESS
It took me an entire year for some reason, but now I realize why Dogura seemed so broken after 15:30 happened.
When he teched, he didn't block. He had a free punish, but he didn't block. The mind crush is too strong!
It's one of those what if moments man
I've never played BazBlue but with the music building up the epic come back and the guys reaction at the end when he finally wins looks priceless. Looks like it was a solid event.
Evo 14 was the best year ever. So many great moments, I only hope we can get another one like this.
Those last Garireo fights are definately on the best EVO moments ever.
It was legendary, he was about to lose so many times it's ridiculous.
Can't wait to watch Evo 2015!! :D :D
That number 1 moment is the craziest efforts of all time
I have never seen BlazBlue competitive play before this EVO, but I have to say, when I watched Garireo comeback like this, I just knew that this was gonna be the most hype moment in this EVO.
1st place is sooooooooooo much deserved, that thing was THE HYPEST.
Man I remember watching that last set back in 2014. It was the reason I tried Blazblue and have loved the series ever since.
The biggest what if moment is when Dogura teched out of Litchi's super and didn't block before the final match. He could of ended it....
*barrier
+Akihiko Sanada ok
tht blazblue part made me cry so much emotion
Wow, music sure does make things more intense than they really are, haha. I was so engaged because of the music you chose, Max. XD
Same. I would like to know the songs he used in the video.
Apathas I don't know all of them but definately one of them is a song from Deus Ex
This is the birth of a God!"
One of the GREATEST commentator lines I ever heard.
this evo had some of the most memorable fgc moments of all time, so sick
number 1 got my full attention. so many comebacks with gariroo. every last round to match point was to much to handle every time he wins a round or point. my god it's like last years KoF comeback. also tears were shed due of this comeback. so glad BB gets number 1 by max's list
Anyone else coming back to these videos after the shitshow that was EVO 2021?
Blazblue IS the Hypest of EVO 2014, it was just shocking and a bit of a relief that a kokonoe player didn't take the finals.
No Kokonoe made it to top 8 lol. It was Bang Nu Tager Azrael Rachel and Litchi users who won their way to top 8.
Dreikoo What I meant is making it to the Grand Final, still it's no surprise kokonoe made it to the top 8.
No I'm saying she didn't even make it to top 8 lol. All those others did instead of amy Kokonoe players.
I cried at the end
BuddyfightBros I bet everyone one did seeing that godlike comeback.
(Y)
MAXIMILLIAN IS KING
THANK YOU THANK YOU S2 S2 S2 S2 S2 S2 S2
This video encourages me every day.
give me strength to fight depression!!!
I think I've seen this video like a thousand times and still tears up at the blazblue moment, that was just epic
just seeing all these people cheering for Justin Wong, it makes me think, remember back when everyone used to boo that guy? He used to be the villain, now he's the hero.
I dont realy watch BB but damn that final got me into it. I mean its propably the most epic comeback i have ever seen.
Max's presentation in these EVO moments video is incredible. Thx max
That BB comeback from the losers bracket was so good. A perfect fit for the opening of the finals day.
Max, you should honor it a bit more with a week of Blazblue Chronophantasma. *crosses fingers hoping he does that at least once*
That would be hype. I mean, he is preparing for GG xrd, so I don't see a better moment for BB than now ;D
I believe he's said many times that he just never was able to enjoy the series, same reason why he didn't do much with Persona...but I guess it doesn't hurt to be optimistic.
And he has to wear the kimono the whole time. :D
I applaud your effort, but I just don't think he's gonna do it. We've been asking to begging to pleading, but the fact remains that he's just not into blazblue like that to play it.
Again, I applaud your effort, but I don't think it'll happen.
Well, I can try. :)
That one Nigga holding up a waifu in the crowd lel
god #1 makes me smile uncontrollably
I personally don't think there is any other tournament in the world that encapsulates so much epic moments. Love watching Evo every year and hope to head over some year to experience the event first hand! World tournament epicness!
Thanks for making this video for us every year Max. I really appreciate it. Thank You!!!
Blazblue is the most technical game I've ever played. You will get decimated unless you put some serious effort into it.
Play KoF XIII and then tell me your shitty anime fighters are tough.
Blazblue is a watered down version of Guilty Gear.
A flame chat, oh yeah I want to join
Smash bros is better
The N.1 was defenetly the best moment in evo history
The daigo parry is by far the best evo moment imo.
Most technically amazing yes, but not as emotionally powerful as No.1
Im Glad you picked Blazblue as the first one it was indeed the best final in the evo this year
Kudos on the music Max from one Max to another you made these moments over the top hypeness over 9000 !
I'm so glad all these old videos are back. The whole ordeal with the MCN was definitely a blessing in disguise. I can't wait to see the future content you'll be able to put out. The potential is limitless.
"Its Moments Like This Is Why We Play Fighting Games." ...Nuff said.
What do you mean Melee's potential last year at EVO?
Because of smash for 3ds and wii u
actually evo announced it's lineup a few days ago and, as expected, no melee. Just the new smash
***** Well that sucks... why can't it be both? Well I guess the same sort of thing happened with Brawl
Well... we don't get both blazblue and guilty gear, so it's only logical.
***** What are you talking about?
Melee AND Smash 4 are in the EVO line-up this year.
shoryuken.com/2015/01/20/evo-2015-lineup-announcement-show-now-streaming-live/
Oscar O. Rosas Hells yes
The best part of EVO is that, no matter how emotional it gets, the competitors are always such good sports.
louffy was a pad player right?
Yep.
masterchef87
lol i hear all these pro players say you need to play on stick or you don't stand a chance and this guy just comes from no where to expose everyone to win evo with a pad XD
A Playstation 1 pad, no less.
He's not exactly out of nowhere though. He's been beating top players like Mago and Xian for the past few years and won a few majors. I've considered him Europe's best player for the past year or so.
Hiku
didn't hear about him since this evo he is godlike
M1ss1ngLink
One thing about Louffy.
Hopefully this Evo gave Anime Fighters the respect it deserves.
The little nod at the end from dogura totally makes this. its like he's saying "yeah, thats how it should be"
I dont even play the fighting games on this list, but just watching them is wonderful.
I didn't get to watch any EVO coverage so this was great for me, thanks Max.
