The father finding his daughter is just incredibly horrific.
The guy had the creepiest smile...a pretty damn unsettling gaze...it bothers me a lot that HIS was the last face that poor girl would ever see in this life. Pretty sure he's what evil looks like.
I know. He wakes up in the morning and brews a nice coffee. Is taking the dog out. I just imagine a nice, crisp morning in his robe feeling good and rested. Then, he finds such an awful awful scene. Then years later his family stops him from confessing? I guess they’re happy that he went in to kill at least four more? He was abused by all of them so why did they even care if he confessed? All of it is infuriating and both police departments were a total joke 😡
I thought the same thing. How awful.
im not sure i'd survive that
Thanks for the spoiler 😎
The father and daughter who took him from the house should be held responsible as well. Gaurantee he was going to confess what happened. People who cover for murders because they're family should be charged with preventing justice.
100 percent, if the victims were my family we'd be settling out of court with extreme prejudice.
The police department that made excuses for why his dna was found under a murder victims fingernails should face some kind of judicial punishment as well.
It's all so easy when you're driving from the backseat.
@@theunmitigateddisaster676 If they didn't have enough of a case, they wouldn't be able to try him a second time and it would be tough to get a conviction on only a single piece of evidence that even a semi-competent attorney could explain away.
Agree
So, he told his family and they came and dragged him out of the house to stop him confessing, and that led to other women being murdered. What a lovely bunch of people. Should all be in jail.
Maybe it was a set up. Maybe his family had planned on waiting until Tricias father came home and then immediately storm in and take Michael out. It’s too much of a coincidence for him to have been there and they just happen to show up at the right time. It sounds planned.
Exactly! How do they not become accessories ????

I remember Ashton Kutcher’s date being murdered and him testifying. You did a great job starting with Tricia who doesn’t have fame and telling her story.
He was subpoenaed, so he had to testify
I am sure this would have shaken Kushners chill.
Mike’s just going in order of who got killed first
@@kimberleesara9486 depends, not always
Kutcher is heavy into the Illuminati. The gf was a sacrifice. Celebs can't achieve fame & big fortune unless they sign a contract in their own blood. The satanic elites run Hollywood. The murderer's family should be charged as "Accessories After the Fact" because they KNEW he killed Trisha.
Thanks for another brilliant Chapter, Mike! 👍
So would these be the same parents and siblings that abused him and left him in a closet for days? There needs to be accountability for that too
@L what's descrimination?
I bet they was afraid of what he might do if he finds out they told on him. Fear makes you helpless
It's suspicious but could have been completely unrelated. You would need to get them to talk to prove the case.
@L
I said they should be CHARGED, it would be up to the jury to find them guilty or not. And whether they were found guilty or not guilty would not change the verdict for this killer, and no one involved would have grounds to sue anyone for discrimination.
I was at a random Dr. app earlier and a couple people were chatting in the waiting room about appreciating crime docs/shows. That poor girl and her father finding her is so horrible. This man is a monster.

Holy shit the neighbor that survived, Michelle, is a fucking badass. I'm so happy she managed to fight him off.
I have no doubt her strength in that moment saved countless women’s lives.
And he ran away screaming, _I'm sorry._ Obviously, this is a very sick and tortured human being. Its a shame he wasnt caught earlier. You would think with the family of the first victim knowing that something was up with him, his sending them presents, and then his DNA (apparently a full profile. Why that would be dismissed as touch DNA is beyond me) under her nail, at the very least, merited an all night grilling by police, but they did nothing apparently just bc he's been in the house in the past. I feel like they bear some of the responsibility for not even trying.
I can’t imagine she’ll ever get a good nights sleep again tho. Wow. Sad.
A complete stranger telling stories on RUclips makes my heart happy when he says "cause I love ya", and it's just said in a "because you're a fellow human" way, not a creepy way 😂 💚 we love ya Mike!

Should be sued
I’m disgusted cause they could have stopped this crazy
It is Chicago....I mean they literally, not figuratively, literally let assault with a deadly weapon and violent r*pe suspects out without bail, or with extremely low bail to roam and commit more crime while waiting for trial in a year or two. Google it.

The fact that he took so long to get caught, was not because he was fast. But that the police are unbastardly incompetent, hearing the court speech at the end is astounding.

Michelle is a hero for stopping this creep. He would've kept doing it if it wasn't for her. The police clearly were not going to stop him even though they had plenty of evidence. No punishment is severe enough for this guy.

I think this is one of the reasons Ashton got so heavy into advocating for missing and trafficked women. Imagine thinking you got stood up as a famous rich celebrity, only to find out later she was brutally stabbed and laying in the house when u showed up to scoop up ur date. Dang.

You have to wonder what his family knew - if he had been about to confess. Their intervention - and police incompetence- led to more victims. Terrible.

To be fair, the DNA found under her fingernails was not enough to charge or convict him, as he had recently given her a ride somewhere. DNA is transferred pretty easily, so it could have been done through a hand shake or something similar. Imagine the wrongful convictions that would happen if that was the only evidence. The police in the first case botched it and are responsible for all of the further crimes known and unknown he committed.
What about his son Andrew
was there son living with Michael and his wife
With such a predictable MO, you'd think the detectives on the case would look at everywhere he lived to see if any women were murdered in the area at the time he lived there. The other frightening thing is his family pulling him out of the Picaccio house just as he was probably about to confess to Tricia's murder. He had to have confessed to them beforehand. So that makes them accessories after the fact. Knowing that they could've prevented other murders, how do they sleep at night?
TC is my first stop when I need me some TrueCrime😎...and I live in Toronto 😉😂
I don't know how it's possible that you only have 1.7 million subscribers. You should be in the stratosphere by now! And I don't care what anyone else thinks, I love MrB., too, but you're the #1 storyteller on RUclips, no doubt!!! So it just doesn't make sense that your channel isn't reaching as many people.
Just so you know, I've been with you since you had around 20k subs or so and I never miss a single episode. And I can never make myself turn your videos off until I hear those words: "Mike out!" You're the best, Mike! ✨️❤️
*how it's possible he isn't the man version of jenna marbles: only a percentage of humans are interested in murder death kill. mike can talk to us all day and night long about dirt and grass and he's gonna have an audience because he's him but of the people who aren't interested, they're more than likely not interested in the subject matter.*
*there's something wrong with all of us.*
@ominousthings it's not nothing, but this is Mike we're talking about. He should have many more subs than he does. Mr. Ballen started after Mike and he has over 6 million subs. But he's probably not recommended as much as some of these other channels are, for whatever reason. That's the only thing I can think of. Because I watch a lot of true crime creators, and he's one of the most genuine and engaging creators that I've ever come across on here.
But as far as my message to Mike, I mean this as a compliment. He's really good at what he does and I don't understand how he doesn't have 3 or 4 million subs at minimum by now.
The fact that this dude's family took up for him is insane.
Probably didn't want anyone to know about their abuse of him.
I believe his parents knew he killed the first girl not just because of the weird situation where they stopped him talking to the girls father but he must have been covered in blood when he went home which I believe they saw. He is ultimately responsible but if his parents did know then some of those women's blood is on their hands. I know if my son committed a murder like this I would turn him in and going by all the descriptions this guy was not right mentally for a long time and his parents must have also saw how unhinged he was but decided to relocate and cover for him which is unforgivable in my opinion. It took too long for a trial and he should have been put to death a long time ago.
Yeah, I've got a lot of questions about that family. Abusive dynamics and possible CTIs from playing football would certainly set this dude up for violence.
You do realise that kids sneak in and out of their homes without the parents seeing right? Just a fyi.
Ask those parents whose kids have been killed after they snuck out or someone snuck into their home and stole their kid.
@Hazel Bradley-Britt Kids sneaking out was not my point, he had to return with his clothes and shoes covered in blood. He could either wash the clothes and shoes or throw them out but I know if any of my boys came home and started washing clothes at 1 in the morning just as a young girl was killed I would be asking questions and I would notice if they all of a sudden had one less pair of shoes along with clothes mysteriously disappeared. I think that's why later on he used the shoe covers, he was learning from his mistakes. If they didn't know why did they just walk into that house without invitation and rush him out then move to Hollywood?. They knew he would be at that house because they knew he was going to confess to the girls father, what other explanation do you have for just walking into someone else's home like that without even knocking and waiting to be let in?.
@@killercat5231 exactly.. serial killers always grow and evolve- and those shoe covers are are perfect example of that. His parents had to have noticed he was either missing his shoes or that he had bloody shoes and clothes when he came back from the first murder. It would be extremely hard to hide everything. And the fact that they burst in like that just proved that they were fully aware that they knew he murdered their daughter. Otherwise, why on earth would they have done that? They wouldn’t have.. if he was innocent.
@@PiXie232 his Father probably was more afraid the guy was going to tell on them for tying him up and locking him in a closet for days at a time..
Its interesting how many of these criminals inflict such pain and the second they are tested, it's "poor me" in this case running away saying "sorry"
It's because they're inherently weak. It takes a weak man to take out his anger and frustrations on others.

Mike telling me to take care because he loves us momentarily cures my depression every time
I really wished that Trisha's parents would've sued his parents in a civil suit because they are very much 100% responsible for all the murders and attempt one after Trisha besides their son doing the physical doing. That's so wild how he was feeling remorse enough to confess and his disgusting parents stopped him. No wonder he was so comfortable and brazen with his actions. Based on his parents actions ,his actions and what his son has said about him , karma gonna do them filthy (as she should) on a good day for many generations to come. RIP to all the victims 🙏🏼 💔
Geez, could you imagine being married to a serial killer and not even know it?!?
Well... my wife has no idea.... 🤫

Makes you wonder if Michael was going to come clean about murdering Tricia to her dad before his dad n sister burst in & took him away.. that would mean they knew what he'd done which makes it even more disgusting.
not only they knew but were willing to stop him from confessing… its so insane
Abuse and neglect doesn’t turn normal kids into serial killers. It’s the pull of the trigger of an already loaded gun.
No, there is absolutely no evidence of that. Parents being allowed to abuse their children is what perpetuates the cycle of violence and creates abusers. And then people like you mythologize the whole thing by downplaying the parents' role and upholding the exact same system that leads to such horrific murders (among a lot of other suffering). It's such a lazy cop-out to pretend like certain kids are born "evil". No such thing, but abusive parents, a shitton, unfortunately.
I JUST REALIZED there's a creepy face on the background of the phonecalls. That is such a good detail Mike wtf love you even more now

@@ThatChapter I appreciate you. Since the first time I watched your videos, back when you were pretty new, I immediately appreciated your genuine, kind, and very likable personality. I love your humor best when you are not trying and just being your own subtle, sarcastic, excellent self.
Your storytelling and research is excellent. I look forward to your videos, and you never fail to make life just a little bit brighter, despite the subject matter.
If I had one request I would just request more cat cameos. I love your intro and outro, the music, your personality, and if I was in your area I would buy you a coffee or a drink of your choice.
Some people act awkward about things, but you are just a very likable person. Your personality shines through, and though we are all strangers, you feel like a friend. Your storytelling gives a moment of relief and is always something to look forward to.
And even though you probably regret the first time that you told us that you love us, it oddly just makes a person feel cared for in a world that can be quite harsh. Thank you for that. I know some people think that people who love a stranger must be somewhat bent, but we're just humans appreciating another human who happens to be of obviously excellent character.

Tuesday Mike. Thank you for another creepy , disturbing , and crazy video. Be safe all
You too!
Ive got a story idea for you!! There's a story here in my home town in Central Washington about a guy who murdered another guy, buried him in a barn, then went to jail for unrelated charges. After he was released, he went and partially dug the guy up, then proceeded to blame it on his soon to be ex wife. The guy had been missing just shy of a year. The murder got 40 years for what he did. This dude was seriously wrong in the head. He had multiple felonies in other states before this all happened too...
Crazy! What was the killers name? Id like to read up on this

What a monster!! I'm so upset they didn't arrest him when they found out his DNA was under his first victim's nails. How was that not enough evidence? So sad he was able to commit so many other murders. He's where he belongs! I hope he rots in jail! As always Mike, you are the best storyteller and I love ya!
Because its the Feds and they need to be sure of a conviction before charging people with crimes. They knew a good attorney could have set up a reasonable doubt scenario. Plus we all know his dad and sister would help out.
He is white!
That's what can happen with just 1 or 2 bad cops. Most are decent but the the bad ones are the reason not enough guilty people get caught and too many innocent people are locked up.
ruru what does white have to do with It? Bad cops ruin everybody's lives no matter your color. Why does race have to be thrown into everything? The people who think like that are the ONLY ones who care about race. I know I don't. I've been endlessly hassled by 1 particular cop and I'm white so color don't mean anything

I grew up in LA and now live in Chicago so hearing about this guy for the first time, never knowing this monster was running around in my childhood city is so trippy.
His truth is that he’s innocent. Shows validity of that phrase
The way you keep the delivery so sharp is really impressive, massively inspiring for us new true crimers to keep growing, massively hats off to you, love your work
I think it’s wise to point out that neglect and abuse turns most normal kids into… normal adults (with a bit of emotional scar tissue) and not killers.
While it is true that abuse can contribute to disfunction of some kind in later life it is more a weight on the scale and less a light switch
I don't know, there are just far too many psychopaths that have been horrifically abused as children. I mean, almost all. Sure there are a few that weren't abused that still become psychopaths, but it's like over 90%. And remember not all psychopaths kill, some are just horribly abusive husbands/wives, abuse their children, act as horrible bosses, become troublesome neighbors, or just cause trouble to those around them. I know a guy whose brother is diagnosed psychopath, he's a raving alcoholic and drug addict with more than a dozen felonies, and my friend and I believe if he hadn't spent most of his life in prison he would probably have killed someone by now. But he hasn't.
And I agree with you, abuse doesn't make someone a psychopath, but I think is makes certain people, with certain mental traits, for sure.
But what do I know, I'm just a small country bird lawyer.
You, my friend, are an absolute legend of the true crime genre. I've watched so many different hosts do the same thing you do, absolutely none of them do anywhere close to what you do. You cover stories I know and stories I don't know, and I watch every single one of them religiously. How you don't have your own TV show on prime time TV is beyond me. So between Gargiulo's original family who clearly knew he was a killer back in the 1990s, and the cops in Chicago who matched his DNA to Tricia's murder but did nothing, Gargiulo could have been stopped and wasn't! And as a result, at least two more women were brutally murdered and another was almost murdered (Wikipedia lists the number of his victims as between 3 and 10). So how have these coverups not been looked into? Surely Tricia's family told the police about his strange visit (and his family's sudden intervention), and when you add the DNA evidence, It's almost as if the Chicago police went out of their way to protect Gargiulo!
It just doesn't make any sense at all, his family and the cops are basically complicit.
I would sue all of those people into oblivion and feel great doing it
Glenview police, not Chicago.
Well what's two (most likely more than 2) dead women when you may possibly accuse an innocent man with some pretty good DNA evidence(!) against him.
The family was obviously wealthy, and Chicagos slogan is literally "the corruption city" AKA "The windy city" it's not called that because it's windy(it's not a super windy city at all actually, there is far more windy places like boston) the windy city slogan comes from old slang about the politicians being "full of wind" + a crazy tornado that came through at the time. A since the politicians were so "full of wind" making false promises and such, the nickname stuck.....
My point is, maybe they bribed them, because that's the only thing that makes sense tbh.
I could've sworn I learned in school in the 2000s(when DNA tech was getting really good and tons of cold cases were getting solved) that the only way DNA could get on the finger nails is if someone REALLY scratched you like in a self defense way, I remember the teacher was asked "what if someone just scratched you earlier that day then happened to get murdered shortly after, then the DNA could put a person in jail falsely?" The teacher made it clear to us that wouldn't happen because to get enough DNA on the nails they would have to scratch extremely hard in a self defense way....
So how else would his DNA be on her nails "in some other way" other than him murdering her?
The ONLY thing that makes sense is the cops were bribed.
MikeyO is by far the best 'youtuber' ever! Look forward to every one he posts...
