  • Melvin Roberts was living happily in York, with longtime partner Julia Phillips. When the police were called one stormy night, the found a crime scene. Julia said she had been tied up, and Melvin was lying cold beside. However, her story changed quite a bit over time. But she was frail, and couldn't have acted alone, so with whom?

When she said 'I read my Bible' I instantly thought she did it. My grandmother reads Bible all the time, goes to church almost daily etc, but in reality she's the worst human being (talking about you behind your back, backstabbing you, and one time she even tried to pit me against my own mother), so I don't trust people who use Bible as an argument that they are good people.

My ex mother in law is the same. She’s a Christian and goes to church regularly, but also regularly backstabs and bad mouths everyone. Just recently, she accused my husband of being a pedophile just because he’s Caucasian. She told everyone how he will just use my daughter as a sex slave.
There was also one time when her grand daughter had a cat, but she didn’t want to have a pet so she tied the cat in a sack and threw the poor thing somewhere without opening the sack.
There are lot more stories of her being a piece of shit, but I’m going to stop right here.

Like, good job you read a mistranslated ancient book that you’re taking literally even though Jesus spoke in parables, and you tell the priest all the horrible things you did and just keep doing them …I just go for my own personal relationship with God and gtfo when it’s done!

y’all realize that people will act a VARIETY of ways after trauma, right? like obviously this woman in particular was guilty, but y’all NEED to stop using the behavior of someone immediately after a traumatic event to determine whether they’re guilty or not. people will react in a VARIETY of ways to trauma and it’s not our place to determine the “appropriate” reaction. i was making jokes within fifteen minutes of learning that my aunt died in a house fire, does that mean i killed her? no. i was traumatized and coping in the only way my brain knew how. y’all are not psychologists, stop analyzing people like you know how they’re “supposed” to act.

Mike! Please look into the case of Kathy Page of Vidor, Texas! It’s a wild story from my hometown area, it even inspired the movie “Three Billboards outside of Ebbings Missouri” because of the billboards her father put outside of a major interstate accusing the police department of corruption. It’s really interesting and surprisingly has little to no coverage, she really deserves justice. I’m obsessed with your content and I don’t think anyone could do it more justice than you!

I tend to just listen to these - something about your videos playing on my headphones really helps me be able to get my brain to be (somewhat) productive, particularly when my adhd is being particularly… adhd-ish.
But sometimes I’m able to watch it, too. And the visuals are just as awesome as the audio/music. The pictures and all the interview/walkthrough/court footage were really great additions to this.
I appreciate the much needed laugh - those little added details are all quite *denibous* of you! All the best to ya 🤘
