Jane and Ann, what a great recipe. It is 100% a winner. I gave some, without description, to my non-PB friends, and they loved it. I am 100% PB and enjoy your show and the relationship between you and your mother. Thanks for all that you do for the PB community. Jane, please tell your husband that the waffle recipe is constantly in play; it is one of my favorites.
I made this today and it was unbelievable!!! I followed the recipe and also added some diced dill pickles and used some pickle juice to thin the hummus a bit. Delicious! Definitely a keeper!
The Esselstyns have many family members. Probably that Savoy cabbage lasts 2-3 days. If you live alone, consider peeling a cabbage (any cabbage) like a Brussels sprout. 3 or 4 leaves is a meal. Rince, roll, halve lengthwise and shred. You can save the remaining cabbage in the fridge for weeks on end!
Ann, I liked respond to Jan's taking the small bowl!!!!. That was so cute. I'm making this for lunch on 12/18/23. I agree Ann, this salad is great all yr long. Thank you, God bless your whole family& workers from grandma Katie in Oregon
🍁🍂🌻Another great recipe to try! Thank you, both! And FYI, today mark 12 weeks since I went PBWF. And that happened b/c I found your recipe/video for Thai Peanut Sauce, which I'd been searching for online. After I watched your wonderful video, of course I started watching more and more of your videos, including your video titled Plant-based Guidelines to Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease. At first I thought, "Well, I don't have heart disease. I've been a vegetarian for 20 years." But I realize from you two, and Essie, that I more than likely had heart disease because of all of my dairy and fat consumption. I have now eliminated dairy, eggs and fish, and am low sugar, oil, and salt! I feel great, I've lost 9 pounds, and I know that my health has improved immeasurably. All b/c I "stumbled" onto your recipe for Thai Peanut Sauce (I think the Great Physician led me to you). With much love and gratitude, Nancy🍁🍂🌻
moth? You ladies crazee. I love you both. Just got the cookbook and I am not kidding in 15 minutes threw together one of the best dishes I have ever eaten: Jim's Kung Pau chickpeas. YUP. Cooked 2-3 hrs in the dutch oven but only took 15 minutes to work on. Except I did not have the parsley. That would have added a full 5 minutes, because, well I wash it first. : ) me happy but you ladies still crazy. Moth????
This looks delicious. I’m going to have to try this recipe. I usually make mine with a plant-based ranch dressing and dried cranberries. I love the idea of the hummus because it’s thicker. I love the idea of raisins and dried apricots as well and of course Sriracha thank you ladies.
Made this last night. Left off the spicy stuff. I bought a coleslaw mix for the cabbage. I also had bought an onion, celery and carrot mix for something else so I used that and used a dried raisen, apricot and cranberry mix. Taste great.
I finally bought the Engine 2 Cookbook - no idea why I didn't get it sooner. I made this recipe and used the hummus recipe from the cookbook for the hummus part. This is so, so good. I used the shredded cabbage/carrot combo you can buy in the store to save chopping time. I had extra in the bag, so instead of serving it over greens, I just ate it over a bed of the extra cabbage/carrot blend.
This is delicious even on day two of three. But I had to add pickle juice to give it extra flavor. The hummus and hot sauce was not enough for me. But it’s an awesome combination!!!!!
Yum! Can’t wait to try this. I love Savoy cabbage. I’ve never made this with hummus before I usually put my homemade ranch dressing. Looking forward to trying it with hummus thank you ladies.
I LOVE THIS!!! I added toasted pecans,& had it in pita,& later on toast. Pretty much nibbled on it all day & it gives you a nice full feeling @ energy! Thanks!
I started making my own after watching their hummus video! So much better than anything that you can buy, and you can add in your own spices or herbs, too!
Ms Ann you are so funny and a literal goal for me. I want to be moving and sassy as you are when I get your age. I have this cookbook but guess I have bypassed that recipe. Well that all changes today. I'm making this tonight!!
I saw Ann’s eyes light up when she realized she was taking control of the huge bowl!!! She’s the best!!!! 💕💕
She could have her own show lol adorableness!
