Only the future knows however, you have the beautiful smooth concrete floor. Some heavy duty caster wheels for the shelves might be helpful as the Q-hut becomes more crowded. What a great format for the video, showing the jars as they are transferred to the shelves & then bringing back the original content covering canning, great stuff.

I love seeing your cat. He reminds me so much of a cat we had for about 25 years. He was the king of the house. We even took him on vacations when I was a kid in our camping trailer. When my mom would take him out, his leash was a length of drapery cord. He was a wonderful cat.
I’m eating my canned foods from 2021. I have 6 quarts left . They’re delicious and surprisingly good and held together (potatoes!). Beef is excellent too…
That looks awesome! I remember growing up as a kid we had 3 families and a 2 1/2-acre garden they canned 500 or more of jars every year and we still had plenty of fresh vegetables to eat all summer long in up State New York. lots of work but great to enjoy year round.
Love watching how well you both work together. I mark on my glass jars with a permanent marker so I can see them at eye level. It’s scrubs off glass very easily. You guys are my favorite you tube channel good work. Beautiful photography and videography and no drama or click bait. Thank you so much ❤❤
What a great asset you have in your enormous shop. Heated, bright,big enough to do building projects, so much storage! It has to have improved your lives during the winter when you aren’t off on your adventures!

My Grandma had selves in her basement that my Grandpa built for her. All the Grand child's slept in that part of the basement when we would spend the summers there. I use to love looking at all the colorful jars that filled the whole wall. Her canned raspberries were the absolute best on earth. Thanks for the memories.

Thank you! This is on our winter project list. The one I have is falling alart. I agree on the carrots. When we reorganize ours will go to the chickens. We'll probably keel the old rack, sure it up for freeze dried stuff since not heavy.
A lot of hard work on those shelves. From seed to the jar, you did it all, that's amazing. Don't worry about the top shelf, I find that the universe hates a void. It will be interesting to see how long you can get next year's harvest to last. I'm optimistic.
I have two large metal industrial rolling shelves for my can goods. A pharmacy closed in my area and the day before they closed the put everything, everything on sale. I purchased two of those and 6 End Cap shelves and they all hold my can goods. Living alone, I can move my jars all over the basement if I want. I hang my bands on bungee cords too! It’s so pretty, and professional looking too.

Something I do with canned carrots is blend them up and add them to your soups to help thicken up the soup.
