This thought came to me cause they can do a lot of things people don’t talk about, like being able to fuse into a new Symbiote with Hybrid, or how they can take powers from their hosts (like if they attached to electro would they get electrokinesis?)

About characters in comics breaking the fourth wall: Over at Marvel She-Hulk was already breaking that thing in the 70's, so Deadpool wasn't even their first character to do that.
And she Hulk's way to break the fourth wall was better in My opinion

So did She-Hulk or Ambush Bug come first with the whole fourth wall breaking comedy bit? As far as I can tell it was Jennifer but I wouldn’t mind second opinions!
Looks like Ambush Bug was created in Dec. 1982, and She-Hulk was created in Feb. 1980.
She-Hulk didn't start breaking the fourth wall until John Byrne's run in 1989 (Sensational She-Hulk).
Ambush Bug has few appearances when he's first created, but his first two issues that he appears in have no fourth wall breaks; it's not until his third appearance, Action Comics #560 in Oct. 1984, that he mentions the writer of the comic by last name (Giffen).
So, Ambush Bug was created later, but he broke the fourth wall first. However, She-Hulk's breaking of the fourth wall is more iconic and better-written.

@@nathancarter8239 I have runs of both She Hulk and Ambush Bug. I'm not sure I can agree with "better written". They were written with different intent. She Hulk was a fourth wall breaker within a relatively serious narrative. Ambush Bug was the outsider pointing out the absurdity of his world (Meepo, anyone?). There was almost no narrative intent. Different kinds of stories.

I absolutely love the fact that Amanda Waller had to literally PAY Lobo to be on the suicide squad which also means that he’s the only member on the team who is “technically” a free man with the actual salary amongst a whole roster full of supervillain convicts!!🤣👌

I remember back in 2016-2017 when I first saw Zod cut his head open with his laser eyes to take the bomb out of his brain. It was so cool and so metal.

There are some Superman villains that need some love. Just a new spin or development on these guys, like Batman’s rogue gallery regularly gets.

Well, aside from the fact that Vegeta quickly realized what was going on himself, pointing out several times that she's a comedy manga character. Wasn't the best-written episode... (didn't help that Goku completely forgot that he and Arale met in the General Blue saga of the original Dragon Ball)

4:09 Ah yes I remember this ahole from Superman vs the Elite and CW Supergirl. Though he didn't really have powers of his own in the later, aside from somehow turning J'onn's one-way telepathy into a two-way communication. Instead he used a Legion Flight Ring and a powerful magical Martian artifact called the Staff of H'ronmeer.

As someone also annoyed by Deadpool, I'd like to share a character from Marvel whom I like, who has a comedy shtick but is actually funny: Slapstick, basically a living clown. He had two very short series that I quite liked, and in between he was also on some team comics (buthey'renotverygoodsodon'treadthem).

I have said for years and years that Deadpool is the spiritual descendant of Ambush Bug, not Deathstroke. DP's name and occupation may be Wade Wilson homages, but his zeitgeist is 100% Irwin Schwab.
I swear in the comics that every Killer Frosts are all heat vampire and not just Catlin Snow, especially Louise Lincoln who was thrown into the sun and was able to not only survive it, but literally enjoy it due to the heat and even Firestorm states that Louise Lincoln could destroy the sun.

@Comic Drake btw Manchester Black didn't block probes from Martian Manhunter, he had Lex Luthor dodge them. This is actually shown to be through erasing Lexs memory of the event in question in a different comic. So Manchester neeve actually blocked Manhunter, just evaded the probe by eleimating the information the probe was looking for. Superman later confirmed that he believes Martian Manhunter's telepathy capable of blocking out Manchester.

With the laws of thermodynamics, I'm pretty sure the very nature of kinetic energy is the only reason Captain Cold is even remotely a match for The Flash, even after the Speed Force became a thing. I'm not really awake enough to wrap my head around the fine details though...

In terms of being effective. Captain cold. The flash comics show he just did mission after mission with almost no sleep and most of the time was the only survivor

Idk but for the past years or so the suicide squad has become my favorite team of all of dc as of recent for I mostly like the new 52 run to their rebirth run as well
What would you say is a good first comic for someone trying to get into the community?
I'm still pretty new myself, but any comic, really. Find a hero you like and go from there. I started with The Flash and Suicide Squad. Eventually you'll see a cameo of another character and be like "wow, they're cool. I wanna read more about them" and pick something up about them.
Pick a character and then search up their best comics/easiest comics for beginners to get into. I started with Batman: Year One and just went from there!
If you’re into suicide squad specifically, I’d say ostranders run is a great place to start. If your just taking about comics In general, it’s really up to you
Go to your public library. They almost certainly have trade paperbacks, which tend to collect the more iconic stories. Thumb though a few to find things that appeal to you. Easiest and least expensive way to dip your toe into the pool, er ocean.

She was a villain at first, she changed during Rebirth
