      I’ve heard of Mahindras going 600-700k KMs on the odometer in their home market if properly maintained. That’s Japanese levels of reliability and shelf life.
      I wonder if the newer models will hold up well in the Aussie marker.

      Mahindra is most reliable Indian brand We Indians love Mahindra so much that this time the sales of Mahindra was 55000 and Hyundai 55400 only 400 difference and in 2021 this was 30k difference Mahindra was selling just 15k-20k back then

    They are every where in India now. Its crazy. I friend got the top end version. Very impressive, I couldnt feel the famous indian potholes. Well done there!

    I have it since May 2024 & it’s been great car with lot of power and amazing sound insulation as compared to other cars I have driven. No buddy gives you an acoustic glass at this price point & 3rd row aircon. 👍👌🙏

    I do own this AX5 variant in India. Trust me Mahindra just nailed it with the monocoque suspension, which is balanced with that feather touch light steering. The wheel spin is what people like the most in India. Over 2 lakh units sold

    Strangest thing is that the ANCAP rating was only done for the other model Scorpio, which did not have the active safety features wild this xuv700 wasn't tested, lobbying maybe?

    Seriously, it definitely deserves more than 7.1 Andrew. These cars 🚗 are tough beasts, Mahindra and Tata vehicles like these are widely used in the Himalayan borders with Tibet and desert areas. Straight forward old fashioned Aussie practicality with certain frills. If people drop their biases, they will like it.

    Although there is no Ancap score as of yet ( there is 5 star Global NCAP rating for this car) I think when doing the rear seat review you crucially missed out on the curtain airbag which protects third row occupants unlike other established car makers that skip the 3rd row.

    In india it launched 2 years before and still you need to wait 1 year after booking to get delivery.However In india thay sell Diesel model almost 75% while In Australia it launch only in Petrol verson.

    I am having it for 2yrs now. Driven 35k kms.
    Fuel efficiency is the only downside, rest all is great.

    An X-Trail has a Low Range Transfer box - A Transfer box that is prone to break and leave you without drive but at leat you can get a Manual X-Trail

      You can't compare Indian standards to developed countries. XUV 700 would probably be like an entry level car for them. For Indians XUV 700 would be a big deal considering the limited choices we have and what we can afford. In developed countries they'd be looking for more upmarket cars than the XUV 700

      GNCAP no one cares, even India is going away with it Bharat NCAP....GNCAP is not a standard in terms of testing comparing with Euro NCAP or ANCAP in Australia.

    I was about to buy second hand Kluger 100k km for 35k than I saw this beast and took it straight away. I got no regrets. Best to drive and full of feature for 40k. I see many cars these days 👍

    There are 3 types of chimes that you can choose from for the turn signal and you can also adjust the volume level on how loud you want it to be. It actually fairly easy to find it in the settings if you know what are you are looking for

    In India we don’t get black interior we get white interior black
    But I prefer black interior more than white interior
    And we get this new napoli black colour in ax7 and ax7l trims we don’t get like black edition

      I prefer the white interiors but having both black white interior options would be better, I booked my Xuv700 AX7 L AWD Black last week on Diwali festive offers. @29.35Lc Delhi On Road. Delivery time quoted 2 weeks.

      #Factcheck Totally incorrect. XUV700 runs on 91 RON. Given this car's primary market is India it does not make sense to have an engine which runs on more expensive fuel.

      Interesting. I do understand the problem with the whole branding being "cheap car". Then again it's very hard to break into market, they might be looking at a really long term investment. 10-15 years is plenty to grow slowly and build a trustable brand
