Awesome of you to get something out quick, as far as the reala ace v provia try them in different environments and lighting to see a bigger difference. The tracking i dont know much about
2:41 , Yea you need to move a little faster to see how bad it is , I guess that is the "tracking" AF we want and its not tracking. Is it bad, from my test my xh2s firmware 1 is doing wayyyy better than this. Great vid btw.
Haters will say it's the Viltrox' fault. Meanwhile the same lens is available on E-Mount and produces much better results. X-T2,3,5 user and also have this lens.
Fujifilm af doesn't work good with third party lens. All comapies are like this. Also Fujifilm af is worst of em all. It would be good to see how new firmware update performe with Fuji primes.
@@doggking001 I own both the Viltrox 27mm F1.2 and the 75mm F1.2. They work great with my X-T5, no difference noticeable in comparison to the XF18 F1.4. I will assume AF will be just as bad with any of the newest XF prime lenses.
Reala Ace was the Japanese name for Provia when it released in Japan for basic point and shoot film. Seems like a pointless addition to the film simulation choices.

There is a noticeable difference. Reala Ace provides more local contrast in bright areas like faces and in areas with very saturated colors (e.g. red flowers have more structure). Shadows are lighter, greens tend more towards yellow instead of blue. It's a great alternative to Provia and everyone who is not blind will see a difference.

Bad (back)lighting situation, third party lens, no mention of the autofocus settings used. Not particularly helpful.
@@user-uk6bp6nm8v wow im surprised that my point has wings. It flew over your head! Read it again and try look from another perspective

@@user-uk6bp6nm8v You don't seem to understand. If you only want to test the AF you should rule out all other factors that might badly influence the overall performance of the whole system. Bad indoors lighting, changing backlight situation and a low contrast face introduces a lot of extra challenges for the whole system. So we cannot be sure that it's the AF. And you should at least provide the setting you used, so that we can compare our findings. There are three AF-settings on the X-S20 that change the AF-performance drastically. That being said, I think that considering your challenging lighting conditions the AF works quite admirably. But in most real-world cases where great AF performance is needed, the camera person would at least provide enough light to get a decent image. Last but not least: your assessment that “Reala ace is exactly Provia” shows that you have obviously not spend any time at all comparing these two film simulations. If you jump to conclusions so easily with so little attention to detail, how can I trust your judgement on the AF-performance?
It's either people on RUclips are annoying or fuji owners are annoying. The af is bad .do you understand English? Sony doesn't do that If you film back light or under arm or front sun .in most perfect lighting conditions the af will lose subject. And the color profile is like provia .you think I earn money to say that ? I just own the camera and own other cameras and I love the fuji but the af is worst than my oldest sony And I WISH the af was good .so many times I had to repeat shots or use manual focus and it was pain in the butt to use
When testing the difference of film simulations colour rendition it would help if you will be actually standing in light.

Does xs20 have firmware equivalent to firmware 1? or was it problematic from first version?
@@Aaditya1ad xs 1 fw = xh2s 3.0 i think

@doggking001 with fuji lenses the focus is also bad .what are you talking about
@@user-uk6bp6nm8v it's still better than 3rd party. I am not defending Fujifilm af. I am also questioning my investment in xh2. 🤣

Why the camera keep losing focus when you are litteraly in fornt of the camera? you just move forward or back and focus is lost
The backlight from the window and no contrast when he is moving back to the window and his face is in the shadow.
Please try this with first party lens to see if anything changed.
do you have face tracking on in this clip?

Yeah go film in the street and tell the sun where to stand so your camera known how to focus. The autofocus is bad .why you are defending it? It's bad
@@user-uk6bp6nm8v it's bad but you're also doing the test badly. Hence how can you strongly prove that the af bad?
