  • When it comes down to actually using the FUJIFILM x100vi in real world scenarios, it just works. No hype or controversies, it’s an amazing camera that did the job without issues. It is an excellent upgrade from version 5.

It’s so refreshing and entertaining and also educating to watch a pro photographer at work rather than watching other gear head RUclipsrs babble on and on about just one thing and that’s Fujifilms autofocus hype

I really thought the autofocus was rather good. I’ve been using this camera more than I thought I would on my current event trip.

Hi John, I have been on the waiting list since March so this is a very interesting video for me. Goodness knows how much longer I’ll have to wait, here in UK. Thanks for sharing. I’m pleased you rate the camera and flash combo so highly. I had thought I might buy a used 100V in the meantime to at least become aquanited with the format and take a loss on its sale when the 100VI arrives. My Z7 although somewhat bigger and heavier would probably do just a good a job as the 100V but no leaf shutter and high flash shutter speed.

I’d hold off for the VI - you will get use to the system in a few days without the money loss of a V

I have the original X100 and at the time it gave such lovely colours and worked the best of all my Canon and Olympus cameras with regards to auto white balance in indoor lighting and indoor flash to just give a kiss of light on the skin and not overpower the scene. Problem was always that auto focus was terrible and so I used it on jobs as an extra but never as a main. Now it sits, as my family photo moment are so action based that its too slow. My Sony now is my main for work and play. Oh but I would love to try this system again, with Fuji colours, accurate AF and more res for cropping if needed. That X100 was fun, as much as the Olympus EM5 and EM1 was fun to work with. Thanks for your style and honesty. Love your videos. You are quite a versatile photographer btw, in, out, small, big, manual, auto, flash, LED, very cool.

I too loved the original. The colors are what sold the client on using the images.

X100vi I feel is the Nintendo 86 of the camera world. It's fun to use . Really fun actually and a jpeg monster . I like it. But I don't feel it's that serious. Just a fun toy lol

@kaskoPhoto I believe it. I didn't get much time with it. A week before it went to the intended owner I bought it for. "oldest daughter lol.". I honestly want the Ricoh GR series so I can have an actual pocket camera. I love my OM1 and lenses but being I'm around family most of the time, the Ricoh would get the most work in

@@ericlundquist3466 There is nothing toyish about the x100vi and it's a quite serious camera with image quality and build quality at the same level as the flagships of Fujifilm. Having a fixed lens is not enough to downplay it's high performance.

If someone said to you I want the BEST, no expense spared. Would you take this or a Leica body/lens of your choice (NO expense spared) or would you say too close to call....OR....Nice shoot!

Well that (if it comes) should be amazing. Hopefully it’s a higher end build. Ok with it being a little $$ for a pro build.
