I got my X-T50 today, and I totally agree with you on the EVF! And so far, I’m really enjoying this camera, along with the new 16-50 kit lens. So glad I preordered it!
The reason to not add a 2nd slot or the bigger battery is that part of the unique selling proposition of the X-T50 is that IT IS SMALLEr. I am baffled how many miss this point. I would agree lack of weather sealing is a missed opportunity simply becuase FUji has small weather sealed primes but not a body as small as this.
@@cris_photography No, not necessarily. Heat, space, price. You have to compromise at some point. The camera being bigger is no good. We shot for ages with a single slot and the product positioning isn’t top pro in the line.
@@Raist3db Agree, there's just no place for bigger batterie and a second card slot, no compromize on size and weight, just get a XT5 otherwise. But shame that with that price increase they didn't add the WR to pair with the new 16-50 WR and the fujicron primes.
Amazing material! I'm an amateur and what I care is to being able to not apply fuji filters on photos but set up the filter and should automatically with it. Is it possible to shoot by default with selected "film filter"? Thank you so much!!!
Hello 👋🏼 thanks 🙏🏼 You mean custom recipes? There’s a website (and app) called “Fuji X weekly” that gives you recipes for different looks that you can use and set on your camera (JPEG only). Otherwise you can shoot using the standard Fuji film simulations straight from the camera (and edit the RAW files if needed). Cheers!
Imo the price is more than ok, for an uptodate camera with all the latest tech and the capability to change lenses. I’d go with this and get a 27mm pancake to keep it small almost like an X100VI. Cheers!
I would rather pay a little extra to get their bigger brother, the X-T5. X-T50 & X100VI both are way too overpriced. You could even save some dollars by getting a used X-T5. IMO, X-T5 is the better choice. If you are only into the vintage/film camera-like design, just get a Nikon ZFC instead.
Just got my X-T50 yesterday and still learning it. Got it to avoid having to lug around the 5D IV and the 5SII for day trips but this might be a replacement for both. Sure it's not FF but it does a really nice job from what I've seen so far. Great video Cris , no H !
Hi! Thank you for the great video! I joined the Fuji ecosystem two years ago (from nikon) with a second hand XE3, and I've loved it from the get go! I love the jpeg approach to it and its pocketability; I'm evaluating buying an XE4 as an upgrade, but the inflated prices make it very close to the XT50 - what do you think is the better option?
Awesome! Honestly I love the E4 BUT it’s not produced anymore and there are more recent choices and offerings for cheaper. I’d take the XT50 or XM5 personally - compact but very powerful. Take care!
@SameepIphone really hum? That sucks BUT it is also true that we’re talking small/compact travel since cameras (I’d use something else like a GFX for studios tethered work personally)
Hi! I just ordered my XT-50 for travelling around in the next years, im searching for the best lens that can be versatile for every situation while im travelling around the world. Im a beginner but i studied photography for the last year . Which lens you think it's better? Fuji 18-135 or 16-55 + 50 140 combo? Thank you :)
Hey there, great choice! It is a little tricky to say, when I travel I personally use a 35mm (full Frame which is a 23mm for Fujifilm) and that's it. But I'd prolly go with the lens that goes with it as a kit (16-50mm) or there is the Tamron 18-300 if you want a LOT of flexibility! Check it out (I made a review on this channel for that lens). Take care
Присмотритесь к объективам с постоянной диафрагмой 2.8 - это вроде бы 16-55 от Fuji и 17-70 от Tamron. Они довольно крупные, но зато постоянная диафрагма 2.8 это настоящая гибкость.
Hum… they both work great. If having a lens that you can’t change is ok with you I’d go with the 100V for compactness but if you want to have some flexibility (zoom, etc.) I’d get an XT50. I think if really boils down to that for a hobbyist/traveler
Would you recommend the Fujifilm - X-T30 || with XF18-55mm Lens Kit or Fujifilm X-T50 with XC15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OIS PZ Lens Kit? the X-T30 is priced at $1299 and the X-T50 is priced at $1499

I currently use an X-Pro2 and am thinking of replacing it with this mainly due to features upgrade, especially IBIS for my 70-300, and size/weight. So appreciate the video. Amateur travel photographer BTW. Any thoughts on how it might work with the 16-55? I might just replace the latter with the 16-80 anyway.
Hey there, thanks for your message. The T50 will work just fine with the 16-55 but it’s not a “new lens” for the 40mp sensor so the sharpness might not be as good is the new 16-50 for example (that can be purchased at a much lower price if bought as a kit). Take care!
Thanks for this insight. I have an x100v and am debating if I want to trade it in and put down incremental money for the XT50. It looks like the build quality is not quite on par with the x100v but the technology is better.
Hey there! Honestly the built is not that bad and VERY similar to an X100 camera (it’s basically plastic). The only thing is the lens swapping ability that to me makes it a game changer vs the X100V but it all depends on what every one needs Take care!
@@desmondedwards6309 I like the feel of the XT50 compared to the X100V. It feels lighter although that depends on the lens. For me being able to change lenses is important. But someone like Valerie Jardin is happy with her X100V and now her X100VI. Go to a shop and hold the XT50
Of course when shooting RAW you can save as many jpegs as you like, using whichever film simulation you want, using the in-camera RAW converter. It would be nice to use the film simulation dial to do that though. Preview the image, turn the dial to select the film simulation, hit save.
