The new Reala Ace simulation is awesome. I never really had that many issue with the autofocus given the way i shoot, but the new film simutation give me even more reason to love my xh2s

The effect on the leaves might be a result of diffraction. Christopher Frost, in his lens reviews, usually can detect diffraction at f11 or higher. It might look better if you reduced to f8 and have some out of focus areas.
I also think I had a polarizer filter on at the time. 🤔
At this point, I’m almost afraid to upgrade anymore, at least I’m going to wait before and hear what people have to say. I just don’t trust Fuji anymore!
I just downloaded the 4.0 firmware for the XT5, will have to do some testing. Figure it can’t be any worse or can it??
Simon I was afraid also. I swear the last firmware made it worse. Amen this upgrade works. I’m not upgrading anymore. Once it works leave it alone. Ha!

Yea, I know what cameras it is for
They supported them for as long as possible. They are old and the processing power cannot do what brand new processor can. Think of it as a ten year old computer and you expect firmware to make it current. Not gonna happen.
Good way to check is just enable „sharp mask” view in Capture One - you will be surprised;) First I thought that option is broken because it’s not possible to have such a lot out of focus shots but no ;) switched to Sony and this works as intended. BTW xh2s has shortcut when you view photos you can zoom to that point focus landed. A lot of cases it was not what was showing green box before shot. For Firmware 7.0 I don’t know I’ve sold all my Fuji gear.

Honestly I’m not sure …I was making a quick adjustment and that’s where it landed. 😁
You tested xh2s af, 2500 usd camera, by shooting a flower?
No. I mentioned in the video photographing my wife and daughter in the kitchen and it grabbed the eyes 8 out of 10 times. My son was also inside around natural light and it grabbed the eyes while he was moving. I imported the images and was shocked by how many were sharp compared to just days before. I’ll do another video with him outside today while in motion. The reason why the inside shots were important to me is because low light is harder to capture people in motion compared to bright light. On real jobs it’s the low light candids that were the issue I was experiencing before this firmware update. I’ll post the next test this evening. 😁

I've shot weddings with my XT5 and I got a 90% hit rate
3 tips 1 pick 1 eye 👁
Tip 2 ..adjust sensitivity to 3
Tip 3 use right lenses
Tip 4 correctly expose images ..for me that image was under exposeed.
Tip 4 shutter speeds correctly 👌

@bigd7696 no actually...I did shots were people were walking down the isle too
For the rendering of the image, are you using LR or Capture One? Don't use LR for any of the X-Trans sensors on LR, they turn your images to mush. Capture One is a 180° improvement. I almost sold off my Fujifilm system. When I discovered Capture one, it was like a new camera. You're ok with the GFX systems as they are Beyer sensors.
I have both and see no problems with Lightroom.
I agree 💯 LR does something weird with xh2s files. The GFX 100 2 files were ok but C1 has better color and contrast tones to me. 😎

Unfortunatly with every Firmware since 3.0 the AF got worse… Video AF even worser… at the Moment I don‘t believe they‘ll be able to get this fixed properly… 😖

I attempted to video the super bright sun hitting the garden but the clouds moved in and the scene wasn’t the same. I didn’t have a before and after image to show.
