A fantastic video. Hats off to the maker of this one. ME 262 is the ground zero of jet fighter aviation. Fantastic to see it landing followed by so many that came to be thanks to the design & building of the 262. Excellent sequence & parade of jets. Very well done.
It's great to see the harrier in the air, such an awesome aircraft. I last saw them at RNAS Culdrose doing a ground display. You capture the sound so well, it's like i'm there :D
@@planestrainswildlife tommorow is looking way better since theres less rain and hardly any cloud except the rainstorm in the morning before the flying display, the wind is bad but it shouldnt affect it too much tho since its blowing away from the crowd thank god😅
@@randomnickify Absolutely one of 4 replicas built in Everett Wash by the Me262 project and using GE engines there also was a non flying static one built !!!
That was a nice little teaser👍👍👍 Wasn't expecting to see a 262, although looking at the weather that's probably the only time it'll be in the air😢😢 Thank goodness for the Spanish still flying Harriers and that MiG (?) is a head turner - proper airshow kit😂😂 Thanks Elwyn, will there be more??????
The plane shown from around 12:24 sure looks a bit like a MiG-21, but it's a Sukhoi Su-22 ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukhoi_Su-17 - The Su-22 is a variant of the Su-17) from the Polish Air Force and very probably, it's one of the last times we'll be able to see it, because Poland is going to retire their Su-22s very soon.
Could you imagine being a Spitfire pilot in 45 and seeing that ME262 coming flying past at 500mph, you would of shit your pants! Those F15 pulling wheelies on the runway, always showing off
Not going this year but looking at the forecast it might be the right decision. I hope for those that are attending get to see some good flying and the forecast is wrong.
@wilburfinnigan2142 Many years ago I went to Boeing's plant in Everett. Planes would still be pulled across the freeway by a truck back then. From the main plant, over to the paintshop. I bet those GE engines last a bit longer than the BMW originals!!
Great shots from a great air show! 💪🏻 RIAT is definitely on my list! Had planned to visit in 2020, but due to the Covid pandemic, it didn't work. I'm actually surprised this Me 262 (replica) hasn't been in the UK before! I saw it several times here in Germany, even on far smaller events than RIAT ( for example: ruclips.net/video/_laWuOg05Uk/видео.html ) and it's undoubtedly an eye catcher on any air show, so I had expected it to have been on any major air show in Europe. Anyway, glad it came over to Fairford this year for so many people to see!

Thanks Big E for being at the right place at the right time always! Great show as well! 🥃🇺🇸🇨🇱
You bet ☺️👍
Incredible to see a ME262 in the air, fantastic!
The ME-262 is absolutely gorgeous!

What a great selection of different devices and a special mention for the 262, thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Well done buddy, that is a rarity!👍✌️😊💜
The 262 and Harrier were the highlights, but friendly pilots came a close second 😊✌️💜👍
Glad you enjoyed it☺️👌
@@kiwismurf4536 I did wonder that, I've not kept up-to-date with this type of aviation. It's still good to see though.
Aaah THE arrivals video I've been waiting for. Elwyn you Rock!
Hope you enjoyed it! Very roughly put together unfortunately 😕
Absolutely LOVE that F-15!! Love that Harrier jet as well! Always takes me back to that True Lies movie! 😅
Classic
Nice...........And a special welcome home to the Harrier and the Tonka's.
Absolutely loved that 262 and Harrier.
Awsome video a real nice mix of aircraft, Saturday cant come soon enough looking forward to it 🙂
Me too Frank, although I'm going to sleep with my fingers and toes crossed for better weather than what has been forecast 😂
@planestrainswildlife last looked Tuesday and just looked now and wish I hadn't ☹️
@@planestrainswildlife little bit of rain never hurt anyone, flying display is still going ahead and thats all that counts :)
@@typhoon109 yup, if they get airborne that's a bonus in this weather, unfortunately not many did, but there's always tomorrow 👍🤞

Stunning footage 👌
Many thanks!
The 262! It's so cool to see her still flying. She is a good example for the difference between pretty and iconic 😂
The really narrow undercarriage shows one reason why they weren't a very easy plane to fly.
@@grahammonk8013But then Bf109 pilots were probably used to that 🤷🏻♂️
Isn't that brand new replica with modern engines build to look like me 262, not really "still" flying, more like fancy kit plane.
It’s a fake 262🤷♂️

What a fantastic paint job on the Sturmvogel👍
Schwable?
NO Swastika !!!
Didn't expect to see a Harrier. That was a bonus for sure.
I have a full display to upload of the harrier 👌
Looking forward to the next week or more with your videos
More to come! ☺️
Gosh, the front undercarriage wobbled alarmingly on that Lakenheath F-35A when it landed at 8:49.
Yes my thoughts exactly 😬
Great photography.
Great Vid Elwyn, as usual.🏴👍👍
Excellent footage
Glad you enjoyed it
🤩👍 Great shots! I Wish you a sunny Day 🌞
Not today ☔️☔️

Lovely to see WW2 jet still flying😊😊😊
Its A REPLICA, not a genuine WW2 Me. Built in USA using GE engines . Five built so far.
Had me fooled then!

I agree it's not looking good for the next couple of days 😕 but I'm hopeful for Sunday 🤞
that MiG (?) is a SU-22
Thank you Herb Tischler
F-15 pilots are always looking for a chance to cause hearing damage.
They love to do low approaches like that with their F-15's at Lakenheath.......👍 It happens every time I visit there.

Beautiful aircraft and very professional photography.
Thanks for posting.
Maybe add captions to identify some of the more unfamiliar aircraft?

That was my plan but unfortunately camping in a tent and no Internet is very challenging
An absolute thrill!!! ❤😊

Just threw a little bit of everything in there! Cheers 🍻
Very nice! Thanks!
Other than the Mach-Loop coverage in Wales, this has to go into my favorite video file.

Cool
What rock band had a ME 262 on their album cover?
Blue oyster cult

Yes 👌 and Iv just watched it display 👏

Why is Legend Fliers being left out as having finished the flying Me 262 replica’s?
is doing a wheelie a new thing on landings now? or am i late to the party
It's just a way of slowing the plane down
I'd like to know what engines that 262 runs and their power rating.
Its modern kit plane.

Wow 262 .
A+ stuff
Why do they wheelie down the runway ? Looks good, but I’m curious
Last it is SU 22 not 21
Awesome One problem though with this video it's just not long enough.
I know! I had so much more footage! but I'm stuck in a field with hardly any Internet 😕
The time-stamp for the Rafale (vs Rafael ;-)) should contain a colon ;-)

Sony ax 53 👌
Why don't they bring out the Tomcats anymore?
If we spoke nicely to Iran, next year they may send a couple of F14 Tomcats, not to much to ask, hey ??
Nice . Hope Poland going leave at least a token SU-22 in flying condition . Nobody else in Europe uses those anymore ....

P-51D swoops into the Swallow's six from outta nowhere and gives the Jumos lead poisoning on final...just like the old days. 😊
Impossible, I'm afraid. Unlike in "the old days", this 262 doesn't have Jumos, it has General Electric CJ-610s.
Not so many 'Flankers' at RIAT this year... 😉
Amazed at the number of people fanboying over a fake 262 with the wrong engines🤷♂️
I know I'm now reading up on it 😬 nice to see though

Just to prove that men never grow up.How far can you pull a wheelie.Did it on pushbikes just the same.
