I’m from Wales. I had the Bullet EP when it first came out, loved it! Hooked on Trivium when I first heard Pull Harder…seen both bands multiple times and now I get to share the crowd with my 16 year old son who absolutely loves them both too. What a moment it’s going to be for these bands and the fans!!
Now we need a scream aim shogun tour next.
Matt interviewing Matt damn what twin names 😅
And if a7x's matt shadows joined in. It would be vocalist matt trio😅
Bullet + 7 string = Cannonball For My Valentine
Legendary comment.
@@joseblanco9045 it was either cannonball or nuke lmao
Nice one lol. That caught my attention too. As a 7 string player I'm definitely eager to see how they sound with 7 strings! It's a whole new dynamic going from 6 to 7.
These two guys have inspired so much as a musician. I remember in 2006 or 2007 I heard bfmv Hand of Blood and Trivium The Deceived. I absolutely fell in love with how the music sounded and I thought to myself, I wanna play this stuff.
I convinced my parents to buy me a guitar, I sucked for a long time but I kept at it and eventually I had a breakthrough and learned some songs from The Poison and the feeling was so insane. Then I learned some songs off of Ascendancy and my love for music really grew. I eventually learned how to sing, scream and sing/scream while playing guitar.
These guys have inspired an entire generation of musicians. I absolutely cannot wait to see you guys on the Poisoned Ascendancy tour
My gosh! Two of my most fav bands ever! I'm very sad that I might not be able to see y'all live! Where's the bullet and Trivium fans from Indiana?
Left: A full of wisdom Japanese-American samurai, Right: A serene Welsh knight.
I think you might be dyslexic
Wouldn't it be the other way around
what is bro on about??? left=british right=american….. you slow???
I think you got your left and right mixed up dude
@@psychogenesis6755 Guys, I'm old, I'm 30, but I haven't completely lost my mind yet. In the preview photo, Heafy as standing at full height on the left side.
Funnily enough, Bullet is what got me into Metallica. I'd gotten into Bulllet, Disturbed, and Rise Against from Need For Speed, and while I still listen to those other two, metalcore just hit different as a tween. And because I was already into rock music like Linking Park and Three Days Grace, I'd listen to VH1 after dark and Metallica came on and all I could think of was "my favorite band's favorite band, I gotta give em a shot". And from there I basically experienced the entire history of metal from Sabbath to Maiden, Metallica, but metalcore (Trivium included) is still my soul music. From 11 to 15 I'd fully transitioned from rocker to metalhead and it's all thanks to Bullet, quite honestly.
Me too! haha i liked Bullet first and knowing that they like Metallica made me like it too!
I have been Bullet for my Valentine is one favorite bands. I'm also a very big Trivium fan. Never had a chance to go BFMV concert. But I first heard Trivium when they opened for Slipknot. Then I got hooked. Thankful for both bands.
We need more metal musicians doing interviews like this 🙌 matt should start interviewing all the big metal icons like the big 4 ect to preserve good/import moments of there careers and in metal for future generations to see. Hes a natural at interviewing people
23:08 Wait 7 string bullet?! Oh hell yeah
When Matt played in Axewound back in the day, they tuned down to Drop A but I believe it was 6 string Drop A
@@PigglyWigglyDeluxeyes it was indeed 6 string
7 string bullet should be the song title
This was really cool seeing these two tight in another interview with the ones pre poisoned ascendancy and this plus another poisoned ascendancy and the other fest Matt mentions being the biggest triv show yet, I'd say these guys have a culmination of reaching higher and higher heights q
Went bake home to Bridgend last year to see family in Ogmore valley and was so shocked how different it was town was amazing in the 90s best time of my life your musics amazing keep done you 👏🤘🤘
I’m so glad this conversation finally happened-it feels like something that was meant to be. I’ve followed both of you from the very beginning, and it’s been an absolute honor to experience your incredible albums and witness your musical journey as it evolved. These conversations have been wonderful, and I can’t wait for more. Keep the amazing music coming!
I remember the time I started listening to Bullets and Trivium. You guys are awesome! Way to go! 🤘
Awesome interview!
Really looking forward to seeing you guys in April here in Minnesota!!
This is amazing, cant wait for February. would be amazing to see sleep token on the european tour
Sleep Token are way to big to support so no chance
Im so excited for the first night in cardiff!!! Been a massive fan since 2005/6 and this will be the tour to end all tours!
See you guys in NYC!
I found Bullet For My Valentine through playing Need For Speed: Most Wanted (05). I found the of the "The Poison" album in high-school in my freshmen year 2006 i listen the the wholr album and I absolutely fell in love with the album and then in my sophomore year 2008 "Scream Aim Fire came out and I listened to the title track and its was so fucking heavy then "Waking The Demon" which was a banger then I listened to Track 03. Hearts Burst Into Fire and I cried my eyes out at 16 years old because for the first time in my life my heart was touched by music that comforted and reassured me and got me through the hardest times as a teenager and also through my adult life.
Can’t wait to see you guys in Seattle next year. Doing VIP for both bands👌🏻
This interview giving inspiration to all band dreamers
Killswitch Engage and Bullet For My Valentine are some of the best band names ever
Love to see you guys make a stop in wichita, kansas, usa area!
Thanks for uploading
Sometimes things just turn out great, I would have never imagined back then when I listened to those bands that someday Matt Heafy would be interviewing Matt Tuck on his own RUclips channel
I just bought an 7 string guitar a few months ago, a Schecter Omen 7. Trivium was the band that introduced me to 7 string guitars, so as Fear Factory and Korn.
Besides, Trivium and Bullet For My Valentine are a big influence to our band, so, it's meaningful to watch both of you guys having a great conversation and we're so excited to see you touring around South America.
On the other hand, BFMV using 7 strings? What a fucking banger, you guys had been consuming steroids since you recorded the self-title album, now this is a high level up. We need to hear that.
Greetings from Venezuela (and excuse my english, I still learning). We send you all the support and good vibes. Keep Rocking.
Your English is good amigo :) Glad you got into 7 string just recently. I have been playing 7 string for years and love the same bands you do that are known for 7 strings. I love Steve Vai as well. He is the father of the 7 string Universe that gave birth to Korn, Fear Factory and many others
@@RolanTHUNDER I've playing 6 strings all my life (I play guitar since I was 12 years old, now I'm 27). Trying sounds through the years and finding a musical identity, I fell in love with downtunings (under drop C or drop B). In Venezuela (at least in Caracas, where I live and where I come from), is not usual to watch 7 string guitars outside, so, I previously used 6 string with a baritone tuning (drop A). It worked for me, I wrote songs under that tuning, finding the definitive sound.
But I didn't give up, I needed a 7 string because of broad range of tones that these weapons can offer. I may use it for playing popular songs of any genere or style in standard tuning, then, if I want to play down tuned metal or I want to extend my chords and make it sound richer, I use the 7th string at my disposal. It worths every cent, I'm so happy for this gift I made to myself hahaha
Which guitars do you own, bro?
@@growofficial2545 That's such a nice story to hear. Thanks for sharing bro :) I have owned around 35 or so guitars since 2006 and now I own 8. 1 Acoustic, 7 electrics. 1 Charvel San Dimas Pro Mod, 2 Ibanez JEM's, 3 Ibanez RG's and 1 Ibanez Universe. All amazing guitars! I can give you more details if you'd like?
@@RolanTHUNDER Yeah, I would like it. Do you have a band or any musical project?
Tuck looking great!
This was an unexpected treat, glad I remembered to click on this!
Speaking of destinations…
Please come to Turkey! 🇹🇷🇹🇷
You guys need to come to Greece PLEASE!
You’re a good interviewer. I’ve see you get interviews often but it was cool to see it reversed
I will say this again here as well! Romania baby!!
"it's kinda scary to stray away from a winning formula". I think from what I've seen, there are 4 bands that come to mind with that. Bullet, Parkway Drive, Architects, and While She Sleeps. The big ones at least, maybe Beartooth as well. But guess what? They are all still killing it if not more than ever. If you wanna mellow out for a bit to get more listeners, I'm all for it. Who cares
Bands aren't selling CDs or vinyl anymore. They are selling listens
come to the Philippines!!
This was awesome but wish it was longer and more of a conversation instead of an interview
Since we are getting a tour with a playthrough of Ascendancy, can we get "Headband Heafy" back ala 2005?
Bullets name originally was Jeff killed John, legit they have demo versions of tracks that were on bullets Poison album
New GLHF episode featuring Matts?? Count me in
My big 4 of metalcore. Bullet, AILD, killswitch, and all that remains.
See you in London.
28:35 Come to Braziiiiil! 🇧🇷 🇧🇷
Funny , moose and jay went to Johnny podcast , and Matt went to do it with Matt 😂 that’s says a lot

Venham ao Brasil!!! Please!!!!

I think you two before tour should tour around each other's towns visit each others roots
❤❤

Sweden!!!
Matt's... for the love of all things good. Please do an auckland new zealand date!
Super sad Ireland was left out so far :(
12:05 oof you can see Matt didn't wanna talk about Moose and Jay and then Matt on the right even rephrases his question.
Tell me you guys are coming to indiana
I would love to know why Ireland (North or South) didn't get a show. Could this still happen though before I book flights? 😅
I believe I saw Paolo commenting that there were talks with venues for Dublin but that’s the last I heard.
double matt
AUSTRALIA PLEASE!
Come to Brazil!!
Matt meet Matt! "What the hell's a Trivium"
Thanks for the cool interview MKH! And all the best for the tour to both Trivium and Bullet For My Valentine. It's gonna be killer! 🎸
28:38🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
To bad trivium hasn’t been good since around vengeance falls.
What are you on about, their past 3 albums are some of their best.
Exxxxcuuuueeeeee me ?! I assume ya stopped listening after vengeance falls
I can only assume you haven't listened to them after vengeance falls, of course ?
@@Matkinson91it's the only explanation!
@@jamiepercival5096the screams are junk and their guitar tone is boring and shitty as hell for the past few albums. Silence in the snow was alright but used the he is relearning to scream excuse for not having them on it.
