When MTS supported Stray from the path i went back in after the main act to go to the toilet and he just stood in the crowd area talking to 4 random fans. We exchanged some nice words, he told us theyd play a few festivals 2024 in Germany and do an album, all of which was unannounced all took some photos. Mine came out horribly but I just look like a happy little goblin next to Sean. Just a very nice memory and really cool from him to take the time and just talk to some fanboys/girls (Ryo Kinoshita also casually walked off stage into the crowd to sell the Knosis merch himself earlier that concert)
The fact that Sean mentions that booking agents said the Australian Market wouldn't take to their sound well like the australian homegrown metal scene isn't popping off in the last few years. Love Sean and MTS, some of the most creative and awesome core bands out there, can't wait for their newest album
nik your so cool my man able to interview all this legends , make them suffer has become ONE my main fav metal band all time along with lamb of god, sylosis, darkest hour etc etc
Old Souls is insane, I didn't think they could top it, then came Erase Me and it was peak and since Doomswitch, they are on a whole new level. Will surely be my AOTY
I remember finding Make Them Suffer through a random "Top 5 metal vocalists" video I stumbled across on RUclips forever ago. Neverbloom has been an auto include in my workout playlists ever since.
I only heard of you guys pretty recently. Doomswitch I think it was first. Listened to a lot since then and you guys are great, will definitely see you live some point if I get the chance
Back in 2014 I was an edgy school kid that listened to Disturbed, Metallica, Breaking Benjamin and stuff. I looked up heavier stuff and found The Widower. I didn't know what was going on but I LOVED IT
Sean is goddamn animal, been a big MTS for years, they just get better and better. There's just nothing quite like them, and no one like Sean. Getting Alex on board too has been such a good move for them in like, every aspect. Fuckin hyped for the self titled drop right around my birthday in november!
I saw them open for bad omens 2 years ago now and they were amazing, I started listening to them because of that and honestly, of the 3 openers they were my favorite almost enjoyed them more than bad omens
Saw them in Adelaide with Sleep Token and Bring Me the Horizon. Make Them Suffer and BMTH were awesome live. Wasn’t familiar with them beforehand but they were sick
Sean talking normally sounds like an upstanding, chill mate. Sean when performing on a Make Them Suffer track sounds like a spawn of Satan, and sounds otherworldly-in a good way
I absolutely Love make them suffer 😊 keep up the podcasts. Should get Atena on there I feel like they are so underrated and really need to be pushed out there 👌🏻
It's Metalcore lol, only back then in the Neverbloom era and prior to that they were considered blackened symphonic Metalcore/Deathcore. Just a combination of all
I'd say the "mate" thing is like when a white guy you don't know in NA calls you "Buddy" or "Pal" you know he's not happy with you but you can get away with calling your homies "bitch" bc they know you don't mean it in a bad way
Remember getting into them not long after old souls released, nearly religiously listening to it, then being able to share the show with them with my old band. Best month of my teenage life 🥰
I think MTS would benefit from consolidate all they're music on one RUclips channel owned by the band. Its just scattered across multiple record label channels. 🧐 messy
@jazzymichael they have stated many times that they moved on for personal reasons. Its obviously something they don't want to talk about, so it would be extremely rude to try and pry it out of them. And yes, they have talked about the addition of Alex many times over, it's the main question in many interviews. 25:50 Nik brings it up as well.
Yeah naaa explained : yeahhhhh “we are pondering the idea of yeah… then a quick reluctant naaa ,” coz we arn’t doing it but we did think about it (hence the yeah na, is I nice way of saying “no friend , this is a fantastic idea but no I don’t think we should” … the na yeahhh is the same but reversed … hope this helps ❤
Holy shit I love finding out "everyday" voices of metal vocalists
Wdym?
@@parkourandfreerunning4214 i'm assuming how they sound talking instead of screaming.
I wished he did this interview with his metal voice
Harmanis means something in greek😂😂😂
It means when someone hasn't smoked for a while and he needs to
Worlds Apart was fuckin amazing. I can't believe how under rated it is.
Literally my fav album of all time
Having listened to their discography backwards, I can confirm, Worlds Apart is an absolute banger album.
@@Cynic-0055 you're goddamn right
Why are you cursing??
Sean is a legend!! I’ve literally had every single off the new album on repeat daily since each of them launched!!

Bad Omens
With Dayseeker, Make Them Suffer, Thousand Below
Fuck man what a lineup
great interview, Sean's vocals and lyricism on Neverbloom are some of the best to ever grace deathcore
47:25 the question you were waiting for
They been the top of metalcore since the beginning ether will always be my favorite song.
This is the first time i hear his casual voice, his accent is so storng :D. Its that crazy ausie accent.
Mana God is Amazing
I knew I liked Make Them Suffer but now that I know Sean plays Magic, it's all coming together.
My favorite callout "if your dog poops, you must scoop"

imagine, Alex taking over vocals for an entire track. holy. Sean's a fkn beast but she's also got some monster vox

Saw MTS with ERRA a few months back, and they completely stole the show. Cannot wait for the new album.
Sean kinda looks like a young Bob's Burgers in this interview

No questions or comments about the vocalist change!?!?
I heard the original female clean vocalist was kicked out of the band because she hooked up with someone on a reality tv show

Do they talk about what Booka did? (allegedly)
No. I doubt they'd want to either. That would probably be an inappropriate conversation to have due to the nature of the subject.
