Probably not all the guitars, he wouldn't want to leave Padget out. I can understand why he would do the bass, but he probably wouldn't want to snub his lead guitarist, especially not one as skilled as Padge.
Julien Havoc I wouldn't be surprised if that could be a major contribution to Jay leaving just before Venom, I mean, if you're part of a band, and u have little to no part in the recording process of the albums, u feel more like a roadie than anything else. Not saying that Matt is doing the wrong thing by recording the bass parts, because he makes a very good point that it sounds much tighter when the same right hand is playing it all, but that could have contributed to Jay leaving
mickel deblois Just to be clear, a vast majority, if not all, bands do that in the studio. It’s easier and tighter (like Matt said) to have one guy do the parts that are similar to keep consistency through the record. I highly doubt that was at all a factor in Jay leaving the band.
Nick Pires well, that was just my opinion, because normally you'd expect the band members to record their own instruments. How could you not mention Deliver us from evil during the question about his tonsils. I'm glad Matt brought up Jeff killed John. And I'm glad they were pushed so hard on Fever, that album SO sexy!!!
Gravity was amazing! I know it doesn't have that Scream Aim Fire feel that we all know and love but still! It's amazing to see there trying out new ways to write and produce music! Although maybe we will get some songs next album that have the Scream Aim Fire or better yet Fever feel :)
You don’t have to like the new album , but that doesn’t mean you have to show hatred . The word artists means, they make art and they aren’t afraid of trying something new . Yes it sounds electronic, but even though I don’t like that type of music , I have to admit they sound great even though they sound different. Don’t be a jerk about it juts don’t listen to it no one is making you to listen to this. Please people grow up !!!!

keep it heavy, but reasonably accessible, Immortalized had a perfect blend of heaviness and melodies, something similar to that album would be fantastic, but obviously this is a different album, so make this one unique
Matthew is a very cool and very nice dude his screaming is very fucking brutal and crazy and freaking insane his birthday is a week after mine which is cool i also did not know he is the same height as Danny worsnop which is crazy
It's crazy how accents don't translate into music. I had no idea the lead singer of some of my favorite songs isn't from the states originally. Cool to find out 👌
Padge records all his solos, Matt does the rhythm guitars. In most bands one person records the rhythm guitars to get it sound tight, two different players can sound a bit off in recording. Matt can't play all of Padge's solos either.
So in Metallica for example, it’s James Hetfield recording all the rhythm guitar parts, right? My question is: are there two rhythm guitar tracks being superimposed on top of each other for bands with two (or more) guitarists, to give it that full sound that you’d get from multiple guitars? With James’ rhythm guitar parts being double tracked?
Really disappointed with the new album. Venom was a step in the right direction, but they went backwards with Gravity. I still respect them since they helped me get into heavier music, but I hope they go back to being BFMV with the next album.
"I hope they go back to being BFMV with the next album." So apparently not even the lyrical themes of Gravity feel like something Bullet would write to you? 😂😂
Infinity Percival Wasn't a step in the wrong direction either. Which makes it a step to the right direction. (anything different from Temper Temper is a step to the right direction xD)
Everyone is allowed to have an opinion and some opinions are that the new album isn’t good, doesn’t mean all of their music is bad. And doesn’t mean we should love every single thing they do blindly without thinking
I love bullet but I've always thought matt was a control freak. And this video really confirmed it. Every album he goes in and takes over. It's no wonder moose and Jay are gone. I'm surprised padge has stuck around. Really am, considering info like this came out a while back and he was obviously pissed about it. In the begenning, it was a team/band effort. But it seems once jay was gone the cracks started to show.
mike pk666 then why does he have a new band now? He took a brake from touring when his child was born to be with him and they replaced him with a new drummer.
Well, Padge seems like the kind of guy even the greatest diva couldn't piss of. just look at his live performances, he's always so relaxed and serene playing his riffs. He always seems so composed, I guess he can put up with just about anyone. But on another note, you shouldn't take everything literally that Mat said. he was clearly joking when he said he records all of the guitar and bass parts on all records, for instance...
New game; every time Matt says "You know?" take a shot haha Also poison may have been personal and "weird" lyrically, but it was easily one of the most emotionally intense albums I ever listened too from an observation standpoint and a personal one myself, too much of it hit home lol
Don’t listen to the people that don’t like your new album. So what if it’s more mainstream it’s a good album it’s got good feel and the songs have meaning. Can’t wait to see you guys live September 30th
Ok then... 1st year playing guitar: smells like teen spirit About 2 decades later: *maximum shred* Besides anyone notice his British accent? He sounds American in bfmv songs

Agreed over it is a fantastic song
He is so humble
Matt you're brilliant and look hot (no homo) rock on dude \m/
You don’t have to like the new album , but that doesn’t mean you have to show hatred . The word artists means, they make art and they aren’t afraid of trying something new . Yes it sounds electronic, but even though I don’t like that type of music , I have to admit they sound great even though they sound different. Don’t be a jerk about it juts don’t listen to it no one is making you to listen to this. Please people grow up !!!!
I love you Bullet I will always do !! I’m a loyal fan. I’m hoping to see you soon again.
I met Matt a few weeks ago, such a fucking awesome dude.
Is it just me or could Matt be the Winter Soldier 👍🏽
Whenever I listen to BFMV I represent the Winter Soldier. I don't know why. Madness. Thank u, now I know that I'm not alone :)
You're right!
*matt tuck from bullet from my valentine*
Growing up with this band. Knowing them first from NFS Most Wanted back in the day. The song was hand of blood. Guaranteed to have an epic race when that song comes up haha
I actually like Gravity, but we need another Scream Aim Fire
Holder Bee I don't know about you dude, but Matts voice on Gravity sounds a bit like his voice on scream in my opinion
As I lay dying - Fact or Fiction.
Got a whole new respect for these guys! Not that I didn't have the utmost respect for them prior, but yeah, after this interview, this have changed.
Matt ages like a fine wine and it's scary
*THEY DO GET THAT WRONG SOMETIMES*
BFMV is one of my Biggest Inspirations, and My Favorite Band Ever
dude has hit the gym, guess the tears ain't falling just sweat from working out now
As someone who does fight sports, in which you also have to do a great physical effort, I can definetly tell he DOES seen so, at least... He has really big and muscular arms. 💪🏻💪🏻
He's always been stacked. Maybe not as beefy back in the day but fit nonetheless
Please do one of these with Jerry Cantrell and Sean Kinney of Alice In Chains :D Would love to see that
Matt is so chill I love him
So, what did Jason and Jamie do in the studio? Hang out? Backing vocals? lmao
i was 13 when i started and im moving to nashville with my cousin who has written "lonely eyes" by Chris Young and " A Women Like You" by Lee Brice to get connections with metal ill be away from my parents and everyone i love but its whats gonna make me happy and i wanna make a career out of music i wanna learn music theory and have music influences at a young age so i know a thing or 2 when im ready to start progressing with music in life Bullet For My Valentine has been my inspiration for music since i was a little kid keep in mind im still a kid but the first song i learned front to back was smells like teen spirit and im not giving up on this dream no matter how many years its gonna take i remember eating at a thai place with bullet for my valentine and i will never forget the best day of my life thank you bullet for everything you have done and i hope to one day meet you guys again and play like its 2009 big day out with you guys this is the start of making a music career and i hope to one day be like you guys
Your Betrayal hits me like crack when I hear it on my gym play list....boom!!!!
have an exam for college after two weeks but watching this now at midnight :)
Matt tuck. One of My biggest role models
The poison is still my favorite album from them... tears don’t fall and all these things are SICK songs.
Woah he looks amazing
keep it heavy, but reasonably accessible, Immortalized had a perfect blend of heaviness and melodies, something similar to that album would be fantastic, but obviously this is a different album, so make this one unique
Matthew is a very cool and very nice dude his screaming is very fucking brutal and crazy and freaking insane his birthday is a week after mine which is cool i also did not know he is the same height as Danny worsnop which is crazy
The Tuck!!! Awesome
I actually like the new album! Different but good 😁
I respect them, love the earlier albums
Don't like the new album, don't hate it. ALMOST every single band has that one bad album
It's crazy how accents don't translate into music. I had no idea the lead singer of some of my favorite songs isn't from the states originally.
Cool to find out 👌
Matt Tuck is beautiful.
CJ OF THY ART IS MURDER
FUCK YES!
Phil Bozeman would be great. Hell itd be cool to hear fronz from Attila even
Clorox Bleach ayyy I just saw you on faze adapt’s channel helping us out
So what was the meaning behind "Jeff killed John"?
I was today years old when I learned that Matt is Welsh... Feels like I’ve been living under a rock
LMFAOOO
Padge records all his solos, Matt does the rhythm guitars. In most bands one person records the rhythm guitars to get it sound tight, two different players can sound a bit off in recording. Matt can't play all of Padge's solos either.
So in Metallica for example, it’s James Hetfield recording all the rhythm guitar parts, right? My question is: are there two rhythm guitar tracks being superimposed on top of each other for bands with two (or more) guitarists, to give it that full sound that you’d get from multiple guitars? With James’ rhythm guitar parts being double tracked?
@@fardeen14 Yeass, ig you are right. Better to look it up tho as even I am not completely sure lmaoo
Really disappointed with the new album. Venom was a step in the right direction, but they went backwards with Gravity. I still respect them since they helped me get into heavier music, but I hope they go back to being BFMV with the next album.
"I hope they go back to being BFMV with the next album."
So apparently not even the lyrical themes of Gravity feel like something Bullet would write to you? 😂😂
CitizenErased 17 venom wasn't a step in a right direction btw
Agree
Nik Falcon How so?
Infinity Percival Wasn't a step in the wrong direction either. Which makes it a step to the right direction. (anything different from Temper Temper is a step to the right direction xD)
All the hate in the comments make me sick. BFMV is amazing, respect them
Frankie Bloodshed no
True, all their discography is excellent. And "Gravity" wasn't that bad at all, it is actually pretty nice.
i decide who i respect , not you
They disrespected their fans with the latest album.
But it seems once jay was gone the cracks started to show.
shinnox Moose has a family now. He had a baby last year. That's the reason why he left.
mike pk666 then why does he have a new band now? He took a brake from touring when his child was born to be with him and they replaced him with a new drummer.
Well, Padge seems like the kind of guy even the greatest diva couldn't piss of. just look at his live performances, he's always so relaxed and serene playing his riffs. He always seems so composed, I guess he can put up with just about anyone.
But on another note, you shouldn't take everything literally that Mat said. he was clearly joking when he said he records all of the guitar and bass parts on all records, for instance...
Ahhhh he used to be my teenage crush
You got Matt!! YAY!!
New game; every time Matt says "You know?" take a shot haha
Also poison may have been personal and "weird" lyrically, but it was easily one of the most emotionally intense albums I ever listened too from an observation standpoint and a personal one myself, too much of it hit home lol
I didn’t notice it like zakk wylde and alexi laiho i do that a lot honestly
All this time I didn't know Bullet For My Valentine are Australian band, that's quite interesting at least I still like listening Hand Of Blood.
They're Welsh, from Bridgend, Wales. Not Australia. They literally say it in the video.
@@ShadowOfDeath33 South Wales exist in Australia too
Don’t listen to the people that don’t like your new album. So what if it’s more mainstream it’s a good album it’s got good feel and the songs have meaning. Can’t wait to see you guys live September 30th
I absolutely love this series!
Ok then...
1st year playing guitar: smells like teen spirit
About 2 decades later: *maximum shred*
Besides anyone notice his British accent? He sounds American in bfmv songs
He's Welsh but I'll let you off xx
It's clearly Welsh accent
@@kotrena Wales is in Britain...
@@dreamingskies4619 I mean, there are different accents in Britain, like RP, Scottish, Irish, Welsh and many others. When people say British, they usually mean RP
@@kotrena what's RP?
Nice tattoos
The Poison album was so good, they’ve never been able to top that!
Fantastic band, down to Earth and really talented, though.
Lord help me, I want to do things to this man. That smile ughhhhhhh.
I was today years old when I found out this WASN'T an American band...
I guess I never really cared enough to look it up, but that is a shock.
The guitar in skin is out of this world. Imo
I would love to see Pig Destroyer, Full of Hell, Neurosis, and Mike Patton Fact or Fiction interviews.
That just kinda blew my mind that all the solos I've heard from them were really Matt the whole time
GotYourSix no he said Rhythms
Ts deathcrank yes but we all know padge records solos theres videos to prove this and also i know padge and Moose so i know first hand
@Jason Hurk I've known the bullet lads since their first tour as bullet and have had many I depth chats with Padge and it was said to me in strict terms that Matt was the rhythm and he was lead aside from the odd trade off our stand alone Matt lead the rest are all Padge
Both man if you read alot of their old interviews Matt aswell states that his a song writer and rhythm guitarist and Padge is lead
I've no.idea mate tbh all I know is what I was told either could be true I guess, I know that temper temper was all Matt and Padge and that album is awful so who knows man
BEST frontman ever
i don't know exactly how he plays guitar parts like that and singing...i can't even sing songs like E-A-D
