David has had a very interesting life. He's a decent, honorable person who is also one of the best singers/performers in the music business. The power and passion in his voice is incredible.
David Draiman is a very interesting individual!! On top of being an amazing artist. My kiddo and I are perplexed and enamored with his voice. My kiddo has Autism so going to a concert is not recommended due to the loud sounds but we are trying to figure out a way that would work for him because he loves Mr. Draiman voice. His favorite song as well as mine is Sound of Silence. I am a huge fan of the Simon and Garfunkel version and normally not a fan of covers however Mr. Draiman infused new life to one of the all time best songs ever.
I know my comment is way late, but have you thought about noise canceling headphones? I’m autistic too and I use them to help me at work and when I’m in loud places. They might help your kid, too, if you’re interested. And if you plan on taking them to a concert, I’d recommend staying near the edge of the crowd so if they get too overwhelmed they can get out for a sec and take a break. I hope this helps. :)
@@Umbra_Magna777 Great idea. I have ADHD and a strong sensitivity to sound as well. There is a product from a company I think is called Loop. It's an earbud that cuts out the higher frequency noises, which I find the most overwhelming. Is there a certain register that is harder to handle? If so, there may be a product that would assist. I hope @gabbriella Rupert gets to experience David's voice live someday. It would be an amazing experience to share with you Kiddo im sure.
@@Umbra_Magna777 I saw Gloryhammer and Alestorm live and wore earplugs. I'm autistic also. And they even make special noises canceling earplugs suited specifically for concerts.
My son lives with Autism and went to his first big metal show (Black Label Society) a couple of months ago. He wore headphones and we gradually introduced him to the loudness of shows by seeing local bands perform. I hope your kiddo is able to enjoy a show soon. 💜
I have adhd and autism, and I know that both adhd and autism is a spectrum, for loud music always has been my free comfy zone/space. And going to concerts has been very fun and very mening full for me to go to on another level mening full for me to do. So if you're son really have a favorite band ask him if he can consider to go and watch them or maybe stand somewhere outside the concert area and just listen. It might be great for him
"Oh my go-... Injuries on hi-his part?" "Yeah, he broke a few things." Draiman, you are not only an inspiration to my pursuit in music. You are also a badass.
"The Sound of Silence" as sung by Disturbed is so beautiful. The best rendition by Disturbed is featured on Conan. And at my age (old as dirt), listening to some of this band's songs drives me crazy. However, "The Light" and "The Sound of Silence" give me goosebumps!
@@chuckjablonski1407 He means that although metal musicians are really nice and friendly in real life, they don't exactly exude confidence and knowledge. David on the other hand, is very educated, learned and very gentlemanly. Listening to what he had done, the jobs he did, the man sure has skills and an excellent background before his musical career.
David Draiman has become probably my favorite singer in rock and roll in the last couple of decades. I grew up on Duran Duran, Journey, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, Rush, U2. What they were for me back in the 70's and 80's, this guy and Disturbed are for me in the last couple decades. Thank you, Graham, and Loudwire, for this video. Keep up the great work!
I love this guy! I read somewhere that Disturbed’s performance of Sound Of Silence that was on the Jimmy Kimmel show won an award for the best live performance. Not many could win an award for playing a late night talk show. It’s one of the few covers that are just as good as the original. Gives me chills!

He has this aggressive one-of-a-kind voice that reaches unbelievable proportions, but in his interviews, he seems a little shy and soft spoken. Reminds me of Freddie Mercury.
David looks like he's smiling and crying at the same time xDD
Yeah he's probably high
Because of his heavy metal beard

Crazy how soft spoken, forward and relatable David is.
I feel like him throwing the guy out of the window was inspiration for 'Dropping Plates'
Hahah!

Just got to that part haha yes i hope that is the reason of that song that story is so great
It was self defence.
YaBoiSquiggle actually it was becuz droppin plates means droppin out records lile making them, but yeah that would be another good one😂

I bet he changed him singing ow ahh ahh ahh ahh
That would be an honor.
Yeah boy would you have a story to tell.
@@justamanwholikesvideogames5020 Plot twist: that's what David heard from the guy as he was lying down so he decided to use it.
He ll will be surely down with a prolonged sickness.
Screaming oh wa ah ah ah.
He's so open. He wears his heart on his sleeve. I love that.💗
How is he so chill? he's really humble and very soft hearted.
Wonderful interview, and he's endearingly honest.
It's great that he genuinely seems at peace with himself.

I came looking for information about David after watching the video for his cover of "The Sound Of Silence". I was very impressed and felt the need to know as much about him as possible. I am thoroughly impressed with this man. His voice is outstanding but after watching him speak about his life I am actually beyond impressed. He seems so humble and open. I can't believe how honestly he spoke about his father and his own mistakes that he made which probably created the man he has become. Hats off to this man and I pray for his continued success.
As soon as he said “OH WAH AH AH AH” I cracked, I knew ‘Oh this is going to be good...’
I know this is 5 years old, but thoroughly enjoyed it and David has a voice that gets to my bones. So sweet and tender and the next second guttural that brings me chills. Love him.❤️
@DavidDraimanOfficial Happy New Year, David! Hope all is well.🥂🥂❤️
Indeed I am. A lovely surprise.
He wrote exactly the same messages to me and perhaps many other people. Honestly I don't think it's really him 😕
I don't either.
This was really the first very honest interview that I have seen. So glad that David's life has turned around in such a good way. Big fan of Disturbed.
I'm 34yrs old and a Father of 2 and since I was a young man at 12 or 13yrs old I've been a huge fan and a listener... I also was bullied badly in school and his B.E.A. UTIFUL TUNES have helped me manage what I have been threw... I'm honored to say Thank You and I ❤ David Dramen

+Ollie Cash He is fuckin' cool.
+Ollie Cash He's half as cool as persistent jock itch. He calls his band the Rodney Dangerfield of metal. RD was actually good at his profession.
besides the fact he broke up with my mom when i was little.
Injuries on hi-his part?"
"Yeah, he broke a few things."
Draiman, you are not only an inspiration to my pursuit in music. You are also a badass.
I come back to this video every so often. It's one of the best interviews Loudwire ever did.
Been a fan of him and Disturbed since high school. Awesome interview. ❤️

This is the most friendly and natural interview I've ever watched.
"The Sound of Silence" as sung by Disturbed is so beautiful. The best rendition by Disturbed is featured on Conan. And at my age (old as dirt), listening to some of this band's songs drives me crazy. However, "The Light" and "The Sound of Silence" give me goosebumps!
You forget band members are actual people. Especially metal band members
And then loudwire puts out one of these
Explosion Pvp where?
What
What is that supposed to mean
@@chuckjablonski1407 He means that although metal musicians are really nice and friendly in real life, they don't exactly exude confidence and knowledge. David on the other hand, is very educated, learned and very gentlemanly. Listening to what he had done, the jobs he did, the man sure has skills and an excellent background before his musical career.

"I love him, God bless him...I think he's nuts, but-"
The comedy of honesty, folks.
Such a heartfelt and open discussion .. he seems very genuine and true ..the power behind his voice is amazing ..
Keep up the great work!
the best version of "Sounds of Silence
" ever!
I love this guy! I read somewhere that Disturbed’s performance of Sound Of Silence that was on the Jimmy Kimmel show won an award for the best live performance. Not many could win an award for playing a late night talk show. It’s one of the few covers that are just as good as the original. Gives me chills!
Wow love David Draiman, so humble soft spoken, i am forever a fan and please continue singing Disturbed❤🇵🇭
I don't blame him for throwing the kid out the window what do you expect when you throw a 25 pound weight at somebody's chest?!
Honestly, if someone threw a plate at me, I would’ve brushed it off and moved on, even though it would’ve hurt, because retaliation would just make things worse
