Raccoon well no access is a big thing and let’s be real not everything tastes as good or takes a while to get used to so people marking that change quickly can be difficult. Your morals are not the same as everyone’s either and for ppl to acquire them they are changing their own culture, which is going to be easier for some then others. I’m a vegan and I live in a rural village in England at the moment access is a massive thing. Bc of the current world situation we only go shopping once every two weeks and top up from the corner shop, they have absolutely nothing, no dairy free milks, no beans (although if I’m lucky there might be some baked beans). Even B12 supplements are hard to come buy when they do and the last place I’d buy anything at the minute is from amazon. If I can’t get access of B12 supplements soon then I’d probably start eating eggs. Health comes first. And the fact people can get these and afford some of these is a luxury in its self to day otherwise paints the vegan community in a bad light.
Raccoon try living in a village less then 10,000 with the nearest large supermarket a 20 min drive or a 30 min bus ride and once your there anything that has vegan on the packaging is marked up in price just bc it says vegan.
This is one of my regular go to dinners. For anyone who freezes, I assembled all of the ingredients (without cooking the pasta) and then threw the lasagna in the freezer. Then we I get home, I pull it out and let it cook. It's amazing.
I made this recently and it was delicious! Instead of seitan as a filler, I used sautéed mushrooms, spinach and vegan meat crumbles simmered in taco seasoning. My ricotta was too crumbly so I added veggie broth to get your consistency. So good! Thank you 😀
I've just made this lasagna, it looks delicious, I'm thrilled. Now I have to see if my husband likes it, I hope so because I want to do it again. The ricotta is so good! I can eat it all by myself.
Literally my thoughts. I was watching various videos to see which would be best and this is by far the easiest I have found and I have 90% of the ingredients here already! Totally Christmas dinner with garlic rolls.
I made the vegan lasagna! One tip I would boil the noodles for 15min before putting it in the oven. Other than that this was great! First time making it and Trying vegan lasagna and I loved it!
I followed your recipe. It was delicious. Although I didn't build as many layers as you did because I didnt make enough sauce but my lasagna turnt out so yummy.
Looks great. Love the 'clean out the kitchen' -type recipes. They usually end up tasting really good (then you can't recreate them because it was just odds and ends you'll never remember again!) Cheers!
I love lasagne, pasta in general for that matter, with passion! When I was still vegetarian my mum use to made me an absolutely lush lasagne with ricotta cheese and spinach, and now I know how to veganise it, thanks Rose 😍
I made this for dinner yesterday and it was a hit, soooo yummy omg. My husband couldn’t stop eating it. I haven’t been able to have lasagna for years having a severe dairy allergy. It was so delicious! I used gluten free noodles cause I’m also have a serious gluten allergy💀🫠 Thank you for posting this recipe!
Made your ricotta cheese for my veggie lasagna and am in love! I have made the FOK version and it was good, but this was even better and so simple. thanks for sharing!
When I was a vegetarian, I used to eat cheddar broccoli lasagna that I loved owes so much! When I turned vegan, I thought that I would never have the same joy eatin lasagna again-that is, until I found Violife Colby Jack cheese! I made a simple Colby Jack broccoli lasagna last night that my dad and I have been tearin into! It tastes so creamy and cheesy! My next dish will be cheddar broccoli soup for sure!
I just made this ricotta to make lasagna tonight I wanted these flavors to marinade. I had to add water because the tofu I had wasn’t in water and turned into a crumble lol I’ll share on IG the final product! Thanks for the easy recipes!
Ok so i made a single serving and it was the bomb 😍 honestly tofu as a ricotta replacement is genius. Looked so good that I ate it before I could take a pic
I kade this recipie last week and it was DELICIOUS. I was skeptical about the ricotta but it was sooo good. I used canned marinara instead, and used beyond meat beef 😋
Just made this lasagna today... it is freaking amazing! I wasn’t sure about the tofu ricotta but it was delicious. This will definitely be a regular in our house!!
I just made this tonight, really good recipe. I added in spinach and mushrooms and used some Gardein crumbles. You definitely need a good amount of sauce, some of my noodles were a little crispy, but still really good!
I've made this lasagna for the past 4 years and everyone I've made it for can't believe there's no dairy or meat in it LOL. I use the Classico Tomato Basil and roasted garlic sauce with some tomato paste from Hunts (garlic, herb version) and everything else the exact same way she does it. I'm telling a lot of "MEAT EATERS" say it's the best lasagna they've ever had, plus they say they don't feel bloated and miserable after their 2nd full plate. THANKS CHEAP LAZY VEGAN!!!
Thanks! I didn't have tofu but used your ingredients of garlic powder, basil, salt, lemon juice, and nooch (nutritional yeast) in tofutti sour cream. Delish!!!!!
Made this for my onmi fiancé yesterday and it turned out amaaaazing! Also added in a veggie ground I made from TVP. He was SHOOK to find out it wasn't a "normal" lasagna haha! That tofu ricotta is so convincing. Only downside is he ate it all pretty much so now I need to make another one lol. Thanks Rose!!!
So my goal for this year (and the rest of my life) is to meal prep a lot more, so I can eat healthier even when working or whatever. Can this recipe be frozen for later dates or no? If so, how would you go about it? Thank you! :)
thank you for this recipe! i made a lasagne for a picnic potluck today, using your ricotta. i used the bechamel from Connie's rawsome kitchen but everyone was loving the ricotta.
Your ricotta recipe is my favorite. Even if I stopped eating vegan I will make my ricotta this way. I've made at least 4 lasagnas with this vegan ricotta haha
I made this tonight- oh my goodness sooooo good! I ended up having to open up another can of Tomatoes (I used crushed tomatoes with Basil) because mine was a little dry. I think you used a smaller casserole dish.Could you tell me what size you used? I'm gonna make this again and perfect. The taste was divine! I didn't have any seitan, so I used mushrooms, corn and peas for a little extra texture. Thank you for video!!
This recipe is an absolute game changer! I love lasagna and this recipe is BETTER than the original stuff. I now prefer tofu ricotta to the real stuff any day!
peaches Méabh I'm lactose intolerant, too! In my case, even the smell makes me gag. I've always hated cow's flesh and cheese, so the combo of the smells is just terrible, imo!
Thanks! ! Have you ever made egglant lasagna using the sliced eggplant as the noodle? I'm making it tonight can't wait! With side salad and garlic toasted bread! ! Also using Catalina salad dressing so tangy! !! ; )
moonlightontheriver thanks for that suggestion. Sometimes I forget today you can crumble those up. Vegan chikn patties are great to crumble and make Street tacos.
i seen some dried soya mince in my local shop would be perfect for this, it needs boiled up for like 20mins so would work perfect in this recipe (oven bake with the tomato sauce instead of boil)
excellent, I have some of everything (home canned tomato juice), zuchinni that needs using up, tofu, yeast, etc, AND I am making home made bread tomarrow, so I'll turn them into garlic bisquits! If this works I'm making it for my family Christmas bring a dish party, as I can't eat anything they usually make, and I have a feeling this will be fantasmic!
Y'ALL. Okay I made this and it's sooooo good. The tofu ricotta is absolutely delicious like I could eat it on its own. I do recommend pre boiling your noodles just a little bit though, as mine were slightly al dente. :)
I just came back to thank u. I've made this a few times and added crumbles and vegan shredded cheese yummm. This is what happens when u follow someone for so long you use old recipes. Lol
Is it possible to avoid aluminium foil ? It's said sometimes that it doesn't be heated and it's not ecologic ? Thanks a lot and plenty of wishes from France
Lasagne sounds perfect - I’m thinking for Christmas Eve dinner! Btw Rose...made your easy meat loaf recipe - I’m obsessed with that recipe! Best vegan met loaf I’ve ever made! Thanks so much!
I always have a box of no-boil lasagna noodles, in the pantry...they work, in a pinch, for casseroles, too...I have served Tofu Ricotta to non-vegan people, when I couldn't make my own, with whole milk...A trick, for sure, but they never knew the difference...I love your recipe and video, as always.
My son went vegan a few months ago. Its been a struggle making meals.....until Cheap Easy Vegan..Thank you!
Cheap Lazy Vegan is my fave!!!!! Yay for your son
So sweet of you to accommodate and support his choice!
Raccoon food is cultural a lot have people have grown up eating it. What do you expect, going vegan isn’t easy for everyone

Heavily pregnant and craving lasagna, I've actually never had vegan lasagna before. Gonna try this recipe, it looks so yum!

Wow. I can’t wait to make this!!! Just started my vegan journey and your channel has helped immensely
I've just made this lasagna, it looks delicious, I'm thrilled. Now I have to see if my husband likes it, I hope so because I want to do it again. The ricotta is so good! I can eat it all by myself.
Still my favorite vegan lasagna recipe even after 5 years! 🤤
Came here to say the same thing! 🤤 such a great go-to recipe
This would be so good with more veggies added like kale, beans, squash, onion, mushroom, spinach? Looks delicious!!!
agreed!!! that would be amazeballs
Ah yes, my favourite vegetable: beans. Haha, but I agree! I would do kale, squash, mushroom, spinach and broccoli! :))
@@양지혜-i3h Beans not vegetables then?🤷♂️

I just found my Christmas Day meal. Thank you. (And I have been craving lasagne)

She used oven ready lasagna! Unless you also used oven ready lasagna
Thank you! I came to the comments to ask that

I’m making this right now, but I added zucchini & vegan sausage! 🤤 Thank you for this recipe!
Btw that vegan ricotta is TO DIE FOR!!!
As a Sicilian vegan I am "very" interested in this one. I will be making this for Xmas Day
This looks amazing 🤩 I’m about to make it
I made this last night and it was amazing! I was really impressed with how delicious the tofu riccotta turned out. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
I have cooked this recipe multi times, it’s that good 😋
So you have to boil the lasagna noodles before putting them in the oven?
This recipe is an absolute game changer! I love lasagna and this recipe is BETTER than the original stuff. I now prefer tofu ricotta to the real stuff any day!
Will it still turn out if the lemon is missing?
I hated lasagna before I went vegan... Now I love it!
Same! It was the white béchamel sauce that always made me feel sick - dairy thickened with flour? Nope.
peaches Méabh I'm lactose intolerant, too! In my case, even the smell makes me gag. I've always hated cow's flesh and cheese, so the combo of the smells is just terrible, imo!

Rose, try making ricotta sometime that is just basically cauliflower and cashews. I like it better than tofu ricotta.
I tried it with mostly cashews last time! I loved it!! :)
I know this video is a couple of years old but do you think I could add lentils instead of seitan? You're the best 😉❤
Couldn't get your recipe link to open up. And there aren't any measurements in the description box.

Does medium firm tofu work? And how come the lasagne noodles weren’t cooked first?
I haven’t made lasagne before...believe it or not!
