#Deniz Sasal : as a doctor you have provided the right pill at right time.im also just started preparing for PMP it really helped me to understand the process easily now it's just enough to Fastrack through the process areas & groups.. looking for more videos on project management:)
Deniz Sasal, I'm very new to Project management but watching your vdo just for 5 mins, it seems i already into it. Ur smart n great vdo. Awesome.... I would like further help from u, wondering if i could contact u n share n learn more... Looking forward to hear from you. Warm regards.
I watched this video H-1 before my exam because I was too tired to re-read the PMBOK after all training, mentoring, and study group. The content is simple to clarify what I missed about some concept. And finally, I passed the test. Thank you!
I started watching him with plenty of scepticism, as usual, but about 2 minutes later I was positive the video is going to be good. The guy is really persuasive. About 10 minutes later I subscribed
What I like about Deniz is that you feel he is honest when he is talking. Credibility and being able to tell the truth about some real life scenarios that we cannot find in books, this is what make him my favorite mentor.
Thank you SO much for this video. It's exactly what my PMP prep class is missing. I'm going to bring this to the professors attention. Everyone should watch this before class starts. I would have gotten so much more out of my first day!
really well done. I've been to many Pm courses over the years, from several hours to several days. This is the best 1-hour overview I have seen. thanks!
Hi Deniz. Thank you for helping me to find and answer to my question "what am I doing wrong?". This question comes to me after I receive an email from each company I apply for saying basicaly "thank you but no thhank you". Today, I am starting using your advice at every stage of my job search. My budget is already set up, so I will be whatching over and over your free videos. BTW. My son who is graduating on May 7 shared with me your wisdom. Kind regards
Before this video I had absolutely no idea what project management was. Everything he explained and talked about one by one eased this tension I had, if I would be able to grasp this new concept or not. Thank you.
Mr Sasal, you're a humanitarian for actually giving solid, actionable, practical and easy to digest advice for so many people out there who just need a little bit of direction fix, here and there. You're a real coach and mentor, Sir! Keep it up Sir. Your work and advice is helping many! And has helped me understand PMI framework before I passed CAPM (first attempt) back in 2019.
Loved this video. I am new to project management and listening to the video it appears that in my work i have been doing project management without these titles or even tools. My work role may change and i may have to manage project now and i felt this gave me so much knowledge. Thank you so much for the help.
I almost forgot to mentioned that, I found the moments you told us to take mini breaks really helpful. I valued your experience and knowledge in your research about how a person's attention span works! (Average of 15-20 minutes) You did a great job facilitating! Thanks again :-)
Your templates are insanely simple! And I love them because they are colorful and still make sense! I got my project management certificate in 201. I didn't pay for this education, it was through a special program for families with low incomes otherwise I wouldn't have even done it. This certificate was just an addition to my Associate of the Arts Fashion Design degree (2012) and later on my BFA in Fashion Design and Marketing (2020). I see projects all the time in my head and I wonder if I need to revisit Project Management all the time. So I typed in Project Management simplified to see how I can add it (because I've been designing dance garments lately) and you just helped clear the clouds a lot. I understood it when I was taking it but based on the way you said it, I can totally see how I can incorporate this into Fashion Design and my services for what I'm about to do.
Sir, Thank you so much for explaining Project Management. I accepted a new position at work and they wanted me to know Project Management. This is helping me understand the fundamentals of how it works and not to overthink. It is kind of like investigations, have to figure out why it happened, how it happened, who did the crime, the motive, and finally the conviction. my education is in criminology and from what I understand so far Project Management (in my Abby Normal brain) has the same methodology. Thanks again, Sir.
I was planning on changing my career to Project management. Honestly I had zero idea what project managers do and how exactly the project is planned and executed. I came here to get an idea if this is something I would like to do in my life... I have to say: you are the reason why I will start pursuing the career in project developement, so thank you! This video was the starting point in my new life 🥳 thank you!
Initiation stage: studying and analyzing business needs with measurable goals reviewing current operations; creating a conceptual design of the final product: determining the equipment required: analyzing the cost and benefits, including budget , assembling stakeholders and support personnel project, and developing a project charter that includes cost, tasks, deliverables, and schedules. Nice video.
Childhood, adolescence, then adulthood. I was just surfing the RUclips space & came across this video. I didn't get watch the entire video, but I'm sure it has done great content, so I'll have to revisit this when I have more time. Thanks for the post Deniz!
This is really helpful. I have been a project manager for 10 years and prior to that I was a Supervising Producer for the Discovery Channel. I agree with your tips. I prepared myself for 6 months to take the PMP and later got a job where I had to put it on hold. Over the last 6 years, I questioned whether I should pursue PMP, but decided against it. I think the value in the PMP is a tremendous set of tools to pull out of your bag when there are questions. Most companies I have worked for do not follow strict PMP guidelines. Thank you for the overview.
Dear Deniz. I would like to thank you most sincerely for all your efforts. I am following you for a year now. I started watching your videos when I was desperately looking for a job after a gap of one year and that too in a totally new country with a totally different language. You gave me lot of confidence through your videos. Your videos are now helping me to be more organized in my projects. I am able to implement it in my daily work very easily. Thank you again.
This video is the best! I watched it and then took an aptitude pretest for an intro to project management course and got a 90.8% with NO other studying. You're an MVP.
Same feeling but is this video all enough to pass pmp certification? I'm quite new to pmp n it's because I got a career break of 5 yrs originally from HR profile, I'm here to plan for pmp due to my husbands encouragement
Deniz thank you! This is the beginning of my dream study as a project manager in construction works. I am really impressed. I wish you could guide me to become and good project manager in the field of building and construction. Eli Immanuel.
I work for a startup and I was suddenly assigned as the new Project Manager and have zero background as a PM. This video was very helpful in helping me understand better the fundamentals of it. Thank you!
wow, theres 873 idiots on youtube that accidentally clicked the dislike button, this is great free tutorial on PM, i am a Prince2 program director in the banking industry, and i came here to refresh on the processes across the two frameworks.
Watching this as a PMP for a refresher before an interview. He is also absolutely right about the certification not bringing you the job opportunities like you think it will but it’s still nice to have.
Thank you Deniz, I have completed many IT projects most of them with, like your boat, just me in the team. Now I have a two big complicated and already overdue projects to start tomorrow. Your video is my first introduction to Project Management as a discipline - huge thank you I have learned so much, I feel more ready now.
Thanks Deniz! I can feel that you are genuinely passionate about sharing your knowledge, which is very rare and exceptional, especially on RUclips. I can tell that you are a great professional and even more importantly you are a great human being, so I want to thank you very much.
This was exactly what I needed. I was just hired to an organization that needs their business development established from the ground up. It's a small firm that's been doing it without any real structure. This video helped me (a marketing professional who needs to put together a Project Plan for a CRM, asset library, proposal and statement of qualifications protocols, etc.; basically everything involved with business development. So yeah, I so needed this. BTW, I took a class in college on Project Management, but I learned more from this one video than I did the entire class. It wasn't because the content wasn't good (it was!). I just was overwhelmed with other classes to truly appreciate what I was learning. Your video helped me bring it all together. I'll let you know how it goes.

Summary: 00:00:00 This video introduces the fundamentals of Project Management, focusing on the Project Life Cycle. It covers the different stages of a project, and how to customize the cycle to fit the specific needs of a project. The video also covers the importance of having a project management process, and explains the difference between the two. 00:05:00 Project management is a complex process that requires understanding of the fundamentals of the PMI Framework. The five process groups that are used in real life are simplified to a single phase in order to make running the project easier. The biggest reason most people fail the PMP exam is because they are not familiar with the process groups and the project life cycle. 00:10:00 Project management can be simplified with the help of a framework, terminology, and project charter. Initiation is the process of developing a project charter and identifying stakeholders. This video provides an example of how this process can be applied to a boat project. 00:15:00 Project management is simplified by first understanding the fundamentals of the Project Management Institute's (PMI) framework. This includes understanding the initiation process, stakeholder identification, and planning stages. The bottom line is that the more detailed your project planning is, the more approvals you'll need and the more knowledge you'll need for the test. 00:20:00 This 1-minute video provides an overview of the Project Management Institute's (PMI) framework, including the requirement-gathering process and the definition of project scope. The video also introduces the concepts of scope baseline and work breakdown structure. 00:25:00 The Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) is a top-down effort used to decompose a project into manageable pieces. It is important to follow PMI's framework or another equivalent project methodology, as work packages in a WBS must be "things" - completed deliverables - not actions. In practice, most people use a hybrid model, with their WBS containing both deliverables and tasks. 00:30:00 The video discusses the basics of project management frameworks, including the Project Management Institute's (PMI) framework. The final work package as part of manufacturing is Cosmetics; Cosmetics include sanding and painting. Now, let's move on to Electronics; First work package is; decide on components and procure them. The second work package is; assembly. Next, move on to next segment, rigging. Rigging is this whole part, the mast, the boom, sails; mainsail and jib or genoa, then shrouds, mainsheet, the battens, the whole thing. For this segment, my work packages are; 1) Decide and procure items on the material list. 2) Electronics installed. 3) Rigging. 4) Testing. 5) Sea trials. 6) All completed. The final task is to discuss the importance of WBS. Everything happens after WBS in our planning process group is directly related to WBS. For example, project costs, schedule, risks, and everything is calculated at work package level using the WBS. Before moving on to other processes, I want to remind you of Scope Baseline. Scope Baseline is project scope statement, WBS, and WBS Dictionary. 00:35:00 Project Management Simplified provides a brief overview of the Fundamentals of the PMI's framework, including activity level, estimating, sequencing, and budgeting. The video also covers fast tracking and crashing a project. 00:40:00 Project management is a process of managing a project from initiation to completion. In the initiation phase, the project manager creates a project management plan and estimates the project costs. In the planning phase, the project manager includes contingency estimates and manages risks. In the execution phase, the project manager completes the work defined in the plan and meets the project objectives. The monitoring and controlling process group monitors the project performance against the plan and makes any necessary changes. Finally, the earned value calculation process group monitors the project's progress and ensures that the project is meeting its cost, schedule, and quality goals. 00:45:00 Project management is simplified with the concepts of earned value and the Closing Process Group. The video covers how earned value is used to calculate the progress of a project, as well as how to close a project. 00:50:00 This video teaches the fundamentals of the Project Management Institute's (PMI) framework. It explains how this framework can be used to succeed in getting hired by multinational firms.

Thank you 🎉
