Mickey talking to the potrait of Walt, his creator/father, and thanking him for everything was such a heartfelt moment and shows such reverence for walt and everything Disney purely as a movie studio represents. Easily the highlight of the short.
I Absolutely Agree. Seeing Mickey talking to the portrait of Walt Disney, his creator/father, Best Friend and thanking him for everything he's done throughout the years is definitely Heartwarming Moments there is from *Once Upon a Studio* Special. I'll NEVER forget about that moment there. ☺️😌
This short really exceeded my expectations. I didn't think it would have multiple heartwarming moments. It was fun seeing popular and obscure characters interact, but Mickey's moment with Walt and the singing at the end made this more than just a short. It's a work of art. I've already watched it multiple times, and I'll continue to go back to it. Truly a well crafted love letter to Disney. Happy 100 years!
It’s so awesome to see so much Disney characters crossovering together. Seeing Mickey Mouse, Judy Hopps, Baymax, and many more in one Disney short film is a sight to behold😊
Yes 🤧🧡 Only don't understand still why Hans must have to became a pseudo villain and Elsa never accept his relationship with Anna. And she even here froze him!!! That was rude and cruel! But apart from that ( and never understood love between Anna and Kristoff. What they have in common? Nothing! Is it make sense ?NOT! At least for me) I love Elsa I love frozen movies( I hope they explain it in it coming frozen 3) and of course I love Disney. Now not so much as in the past butt still. And I will always be mad(adoring) about Walt and Roy Disney brothers. They creating two parts of Fantasia! And Fantasia for me is absolutely love Epic Masterpiece just like C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien's works. They are my Top 3 Spiritual Masters .
Can we take a second to appreciate how the short did not hold back from featuring almost every single character . I’m still raving from the fact the short featured Aladar from Dinosaurs, the cows from home on the range and the moose from Brother Bear
The Walt and Mickey moment has to be the greatest thing Disney has ever done in one of their shorts. I also really liked the ending as well. Having visited the Disney Studios, and actually seeing many of the pictures that the characters jumped out of, brought back many memories!
If only Don Bluth's animated characters could have a touching short like this. They even forgot to mention that Don Bluth use to work at Disney before leaving.
I loved this short. I appreciate that not only did they bring in characters from some of their Silly Symphony shorts, but also from multiple other short films, some of their underrated films, and from live-action films with some animated segments. I was shocked with how many characters I managed to even recognize, having not seen these films or shorts for over 20+ years. Such nostalgia from this short at seeing many characters and stories that defined our childhoods, our generations, our dreams. What a sweet love letter.
I truly loved this short. Especially during When You Wish Upon a Star, when I saw Quasimodo (My favorite Disney character) appear and sing along with them, I was super close to crying tears of joy! But especially to see characters from other movies like Dinosaur, Sword & The Stone, Black Cauldron, the Genie from Aladdin, etc. It was one of the best things that has come out of Disney in a LONG time. I could tell there was a lot of heart and soul put into it. I really do hope that they’ll continue to come out with more and more original films in the future. Because yeah, let’s face it… I think a good majority of us are sick of all the live action and CGI remakes by now.
Cinderella making her appearance in the short on the same floor as Walt’s portrait is also symbolic cuz Walt’s favorite piece of animation was Cinderella’s dress transformation sequence plus her movie helped saved the company from bankruptcy as well. Also to add to it they used her original silver dress color from the 1950 movie as opposed to the blue color they market her in. There was just so much symbolism directed at Walt within that short minute of the short between Mickey and Cinderella.
True, Cinderella was also Walt's favorite princess, because of how similar they were in a certain way, plus the transformation of her dress was his favorite animation. I had not noticed that's why she also appears on the same floor
What a beautiful tribute to their past century! It's so heartwarming to see all of these characters that we've come to know and love, old and new, popular and obscure, hand drawn and computer generated, heroes, villains and everyone in between all together, all at once like a big family reunion! That moment of Mickey reverently looking up at Walt was also wonderful. Whatever you may think of Disney the company, this short clearly demonstrates that there's still a heart and soul somewhere within that corporate machine and whenever it reveals itself I can't help but appreciate it. Well done.
I absolutely love this “Once Upon a Studio!” Seeing the many Disney characters, both 2D and 3D come together for a big photo gathering was SO much fun! The interactions, that one moment with Mickey and Walt, and everyone singing “When You Wish Upon a Star” made the inner child in me very happy.😁
I really love this beautiful Disney short then all other shorts, I've ever seen throughout my lifetime, "Once Upon A Studio" definitely deserve the Oscar award for Best Animated Short.
It’s a heartwarming feeling seeing and hearing Disney heroes and villains we’ve gotten to know over the years putting aside their differences for this 100th anniversary celebration! Walt would’ve loved it! 🥲
definitely, Walt would've loved it! He would be very proud, just like me and everyone, thanks to the magic and joy that he gave us in our childhoods: "you made your dream come true Walt, thank you very much too"
Ladies and gentlemen and my fellow Disney fans, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the hardworking people and the Disney characters for making an amazing anniversary centennial milestone. The landscape, the legacy, the emotion, the pageantry, the heart, the magic, the joy, the laughter, the love, the heroism, the dynasty, the tradition, the music and the success of Disney will live on in our memories, in our minds, in our thoughts, and in our hearts forever! Thank you, Disney!
I also say the same: "THANKS SO MUCH WALT DISNEY, FOR ALL", I'm glad also for those who have worked at Disney for a long time; have known Walt himself, there they were all a team and passionate knew how to love what they did and what they worked for; and all the heart, the magic, the joy, the laughter, the love and the heroism that we knew in our childhoods thanks for them also
I say the same: Thank you Disney for teaching me to never stop imagining and loving my inner child always; with those memories thanks to your movies, stories, and characters
This short was one of the best by far to celebrate 100 years. Just to see every character interacting with one another, hear familiar voice actors and archives being used is just amazing. I did shed a tear with the scene of Mickey thanking Walt Disney. But the ending was what really got me, when everyone sings When ‘You Wish Upon A Star’ it just made me smile and tear up. Plus I like how they added Asha singing with Snow White and Mulan as well, being as Wish will definitely be the movie to celebrate 100 year of Disney.(And I hope it will do well in the box office, fingers crossed) Just the whole short is so beautiful I can’t stop smiling and tearing when I watch this.
Thank you Disney for teaching me to never stop imagining and loving my inner child always :D It has been the best crossover, I felt like a child again reliving his childhood and more so to celebrate this century for all the magic and joy that Disney did in our childhoods, the most heartwarming tribute and I was really crying was when I saw Mickey thank Walt for everything; in a way for me Mickey is also a bit like Walt himself, since Walt gave him his voice and personality almost the same as him, that is, he gave his soul to Mickey and that is why he is the way he is thanks to him (almost like his alter ego). And when they all sang When you wish upon a star together, being for me the Disney anthem that I always heard at the beginning of their movies 2:41WOW I really am surprised, it was fantastic for me to explore the Disney animation studio inside with the characters showing the view walking through it; and see how much has changed since its founding; 3:31 plus learn about the animators who have been at Disney almost their entire lives, loving their work and were lucky enough to meet Walt himself 6:43 really? Being a little imaginative, I think they could have added something like when taking the photo, also that Goofy dropped the camera, some of them were moving; or maybe see when they return to their paintings saying goodbye until the next meeting but they will always have life in their own worlds as well as in the real world with the imagination 8:11RIP Robin Williams, it looks that he really enjoyed his role as the Genie. 8:40 and I imagine moved by what it must have been like for Josh Gad to see his character Olaf next to the Genie (Robin Williams who inspired him to pursue voice acting)
Mickey's moment with Walt Disney and the entire gang singing "When You Wish Upon a Star" nearly brought tears to my eyes. I'll have to check my friend's Disney+ and see if this short is on there yet.
I just watched the short and now I'm bawling my eyes out. I've loved Disney my whole life and this was so emotional and sentimental. And I didn't know Feed the birds was Walt's favorite song! It's one of my absolute favorites too.
I know many people still don't like Disney company for good reasons but I say without Disney Animation Studio no one would have a happy childhood. This shorts made me shed tears of joy and I love it for all time and to the end of time.
1:02 I’m so grateful for Dan Abraham and Trent Corey for coming up with this idea, and Jennifer Lee for approving. The short itself is a dream come true for me, seeing the characters come together for a group photo. But most of all, that hand-drawn animation wasn’t completely gone at Disney. I’m even more surprised that two of the studio’s apprentices were brought onto the short’s production. And one of them was behind the scene where Robin Hood and Little John swiped Scrooge McDuck’s moneys! And the scene between Mickey and Walt Disney was heartwarming. Thank you Walt Disney and to every Disney Legends for the memories. Here’s to more 100 years.
For me it was also a dream come true to see all my favorite characters together, and to be here to see the 100 years of magic that Disney celebrates, proud, along with many children and young people, of having known it from my childhood until today and more.. thank you Disney for teaching me to never stop imagining and loving my inner child always
I loved true Disney my whole life and always will! The scene between Mickey and Walt was the most beautiful thing I've seen in a long time! Happy 100th Anniversary! I really hope this little film will win an Academy Award! Also R.I.P. Burny Mattinson. You were one lucky man to work at Disney for 70 years!
I can very much say that is one of the Best Moments in Disney History. The song made history for Disney’s Pinocchio and years later, all the Disney Characters sang the song When You Wish Upon a Star. Walt Disney would be very proud
I just can't get over this! I REALLY REALLY REALLY want some TV Movie or Theatrical animated film but with real settings like in the short with all these Disney Characters. It would be one AWESOME thing to watch. Makes me tear up, laugh, jump for joy and get all giddy inside every time I watch this. Thanks MsMojo for doing a video on this short. ❤
I've stuck with Disney when I was a child, come along with every stories of them on Disney channel till I was a teen. I never forget how excited when I waited for every shows, movies... every single ones, I felt nostalgic after watching this short film, I actually got tears at the first seconds of the short. I can't believe that they've had 100 years of journeys, I'm happy that I'm a part of those, those precious memories. Every single moments in Once upon a studio are extremely precious, how they all show up together, interact with each other, sing "when you wish upon a star" together , and the moment that Mickey looks at Walter Disney picture, that looks like the son feels grateful to his father, it's very emotional moment. Once upon a studio is truly masterpiece, wonderful "love letter" for Disney fans, the great tribute for 100 years of magic and wonder.
This short was amazing! I loved every single second of it! Every Disney fan young and young-at-heart will enjoy this from beginning to end. Happy 100th Anniversary Disney! Thank you! 🥲❤️
A very touching way in remembering the past and current of Disney animation. Best creation Disney has done in a while to honor 100 years of the company.
Possibly the most beautiful love letter to Disney animation, Disney characters and to Walt Disney and all the animators who shaped our childhood for the past 100 years
I loved this short so much. My favorite part was Mickey thanking Walt. "Feed the Birds" was when I started tearing up. It was amazing to see what characters were included.
I loved this short film. It was awesome see all the different disney characters interacting with each other. It was also cool that it even included characters from Disney's underrated films like aladar from Dinosaur. Happy Anniversary Walt Disney studios.
My favorite cameo is Raya when she appears saying “Coast is clear, Mick” when she holds the door open for Mickey Mouse mainly because she’s my all favorite Disney princess and Disney character and hearing Kelly Marie Tran reprise her role was the highlight of the short film for me
I could imagine DreamWorks, Pixar or any other animations studio doing the same thing for their anniversaries like Once Upon a studio Also The short was so beautiful bringing in both the past and the present all together within 100 years of magic
@@vanessaarzate8463 fun fact that Prince Of Egypt what's supposed to be a Disney film, but sadly they rejected the idea of making Moses into animation thanks to DreamWorks, I always imagine if Disney did made Prince Of Egypt I would see Moses in this short.
Even though DreamWorks also did win Best Song for When You Believe in 1998, it would be hard to have all the voice cast from 1998’s Antz to 2024’s Kung Fu Panda 4 sing together. Out of all of them, Bernie Mac passed away. (He voiced Alex’s Dad)
I haven’t gotten a chance to watch this yet, but seeing Mickey Mouse thanking Walt Disney was so emotional my favorite part was the night on bald Mountain from Disney’s Fantasia that segment used to scare me a lot including the piece. I listen to that on Halloween every year and it always haunts me till it gets to that happy part at the end. Honestly, that’s great that all of the Disney characters came over as a crossover I feel happy that Walt Disney was able to create Disneyland before his death. I wish he was still alive. My dad was so lucky to meet him before he died, and I am thankful Disneyland still around.
Great explanation of Once Upon A Studio and I honestly thought that it was awesome and very amazing that they bring back my childhood characters from my favorite Disney movies and this was a total birthday gift to me and Life Finds a Way.
I loved this short! It's magical, amazing, beautiful, and yes even magical. I will admit to getting teary eyed with both Mickey thanking Walt and when everyone sings "When You You Wish Upon A Star" at the end (Also that dedication at the end to Disney fans, everyone is just as touching)
My favorite was to see Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planet. Even if it was for less than 2 seconds it was a welcomed scene. He's one of my favorite Disney characters to this day!!
The animators did a great job mixing hand drawn animation to 3D animation glad they also included characters from lesser known Disney films too like Oliver & Company, Treasure Planet, Brother Bear, and even Home on the Ranged despite not being well recived film.
Beautiful & heartwarming. Happy 100th anniversary Walt Disney Animation Studios🎉🎇🥂🎂🙌😆. It's too bad that Mufasa, Sarabi, adult Simba+Nala, Zazu, Thunderbolt, Emma, Beyleen, the Carnotaur, some other dinosaur characters, Nira, Bambi's father+mother and some other characters didn't show up for the group photo of 100th Walt Disney Animation Studios anniversary. I just wish they would have join along for the anniversary. Well, I hope we'll still be here & wait for another 100 years (until 2123) to celebrate again Disney's anniversary & to see all Disney characters again, along with new characters (from new upcoming movies yet to come) take a group picture again, right👍😉🌌.
It would have taken more time to animate them or to get more voice actors, like for Simba and Nala, but it would have been worth it, right? I also had some ideas about what else they could have added, but anyway
To Walt, thank you doesn't even begin to cover it. All these timeless stories, characters, songs, theme parks, etc. from the past, present, and future we owe to Walt. We've had so many emotions with these characters. We laughed, got mad, cried, and smiled over these characters. It shows that Disney is for everyone, not just kids. Disney is magic. Magic we've never would have experienced if not for Walt Disney. Cheers to Disney for 100 years and many more years to come. 🎉🎆✨️🎊
Exactly, there is the magic of Disney, which manages to enchant everyone (kids and adults) and be timeless the stories, characters and songs. It made us laugh, cry, and smile
This made me smile, laugh and cry! I love that there were so many homages in this short and the care and attention to detail they took with the animations and voice acting. It’s just kind of disappointing they could make THIS so amazing and Wish was such a flop!
I love the short and how all of the Disney characters come together. I love the moment between Mickey and Walt Disney it was so sweet when he was thanking him for the all the joy.❤❤❤
I like the part where all the Disney Characters sing "When You Wish Upon a Star" because the stars are always there to guide them and that they all have dreams and also begin a new world of friendship.
I love how Antonio from Encanto was connecting to other disney animals like cinderella's birds, Pascal from Tangled and Meeko from pocahontas and other animals.
‘To ALL Who Have IMAGINED With Us, LAUGHED With Us, & DREAMED With Us…. THANK YOU.’ -The Walt Disney Company (October 16th 1923-2023) And It ALL STARTED With A MOUSE.. Happy 100th Anniversary, Disney!
I’m so emotional i am so proud of walt disney to say thank you for the magic of my movies from disney plus I’m glad to watching them so inspiring and touching I’m crying
My favorite moments from this amazing tribute short are seeing all of the many wonderful characters both new and old from some of my childhood favorites singing the iconic song When You Wish Upon a Star ⭐️ as well as hearing Robin Williams as the Genie 🧞♂️ from Aladdin and Micky paying homage to Walt Disney’s portrait I cried tears 😭 of joy thank you Walt for showing us that if we truly believe our dreams will come true and Happy 100 years of Disney Magic 🪄👍❤️🥲
I loved this short! I have watched it multiple times. I enjoyed every minute of it. My favorite parts are Mickey’s moment with Walt and when they’re singing When You Wish Upon A Star.
This short made me cry hard when Mickey looked up at Walt; it was so beautiful and heartwarming. Disney has not only given me entertainment but has also granted me joy and comfort. I'm 20, but my aspirational love and faith in Disney will last forever.
@@pedrogabrielduarte4544the only cameos we got in Roger Rabbit were Donald and Mickey who are in the same screen time as Warner Brothers’ Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck
This was one of the best things I’ve ever watched. I, like many others got really emotional, especially when Mickey talked to Walt. Doesn’t matter how old you are, we have a little Disney magic in us all. I don’t if Walt ever envisioned his dream and company would be what it is today, but I know damn well he’ll love this short, and the dreams that have come true
I absolutely loved this short! I watched it like fourteen or so times now since it was just so good and I loved every minute of it! Best crossover since Who Framed Roger Rabbit!
My favorite parts we're mickey talking to the picture of Walt and all the Disney characters singing when you wish upon a star and incorporate some of Disney's forgotten Disney movie characters
There was two times I felt emotional when watching something animated Second time was seeing this I felt my heart warm and remember all the memories I enjoyed it felt so SERENE A masterpiece and my eyes got MISTY But my first time my true heart broke when seeing the final scene where Ash said his farewells Every show most go on so we can enjoy and love every moment make sure you don’t blink because you gotta catch ‘em all
7:51 - It was delightfully touching to hear Robin’s voice in “Once Upon a Studio”, through the use of previously unused recordings for the Genie, under acceptance from his estate 🙂 Just like when Pixar used archival recordings of the late Paul Newman as Doc Hudson in “Cars 3” and then the late Don Rickles as Mr. Potato Head in “Toy Story 4”.
Fun fact: my family and I got the opportunity to see one of those “Disney immersions” in Detroit, Michigan in February of 2023. That was more of a “brief preview” of this short.

Indeed it is.
Agreed

This was beautiful. I started crying when they all started singing When You Wish Upon a Star. Such a wonderful tribute to Walt as well.
I almost cried hearing Jiminny crickets old voice actor.
Same.
And I got goosebumps too
I felt the wholesome feeling of the whole short. Having to see all of the character singing together just felt so right on Walt Disney’s Jubilee 🥰

And to think, this is supposed to accompany Disney's Wish in theatres. Can you imagine the ovation this short will get from movie audiences?
Late Robin Williams' genie, so genuinely heart-warming. 🥰
It’s so awesome to see so much Disney characters crossovering together. Seeing Mickey Mouse, Judy Hopps, Baymax, and many more in one Disney short film is a sight to behold😊

I actually really loved this! And the part where Mickey was looking longingly at the picture of Walt Disney, it actually made me tear up a bit
I was sobbing so much after that moment, and then again when they singed When You Wish Upon a Star. 😭
The moment when Mickey emotionally acknowledged Walt on the wall was truly the shorts most emotional highlight
Truly, I would call it the most heartfelt and heartwarming moment that made perhaps more than one generation cry, growing up with Disney
I freaking love Disney. Thank you for the memories, thank you for everything, Walt Disney! 100 Years of Disney!

9:35 I had no idea “Feed the Birds” was Walt’s favorite tune. That makes that scene from “Saving Mr. Banks” even more of a sucker punch
Possibly the most beautiful love letter to Disney animation, Disney characters and to Walt Disney and all the animators who shaped our childhood for the past 100 years
I was excited when I saw the promo for this short. Didn’t expect to squeal and cry at all the memories. Thank you for the magic Walt Disney.💙
My favorite cameo is Raya when she appears saying “Coast is clear, Mick” when she holds the door open for Mickey Mouse mainly because she’s my all favorite Disney princess and Disney character and hearing Kelly Marie Tran reprise her role was the highlight of the short film for me
I could imagine DreamWorks, Pixar or any other animations studio doing the same thing for their anniversaries like Once Upon a studio
Also The short was so beautiful bringing in both the past and the present all together within 100 years of magic
I would love to see DreamWorks Animation do the same thing like Disney did.
@@TheImaginator972 I agree with you
@@vanessaarzate8463 fun fact that Prince Of Egypt what's supposed to be a Disney film, but sadly they rejected the idea of making Moses into animation thanks to DreamWorks, I always imagine if Disney did made Prince Of Egypt I would see Moses in this short.
@@TheImaginator972 yeah, I could imagine all DreamWorks interacting with each other
Even though DreamWorks also did win Best Song for When You Believe in 1998, it would be hard to have all the voice cast from 1998’s Antz to 2024’s Kung Fu Panda 4 sing together.
Out of all of them, Bernie Mac passed away. (He voiced Alex’s Dad)
My favorite scene is when the “When You Wish Upon a Star” and every character is getting together in singing, it felt so wholesome 🥰
I just wanna say, thank you Walt Disney, for generations of imagination
From all 500 Disney Characters singing When You Wish Upon A Star to Sara Bareilles beautiful version, my heart is crying nostalgia
I have yet to watch this short with dry eyes, and I doubt I ever will. The moments with Genie and Walt's portrait always get me crying.
If only this film had been longer. There were so many characters I wanted to have more screen time and interactions.
I don't think that's much to ask.
Do you know how many hours it takes to animate a single character?
@@enadegheeghaghe6369 Do you know how much money and resources Disney has?
I like the part where all the Disney Characters sing "When You Wish Upon a Star" because the stars are always there to guide them and that they all have dreams and also begin a new world of friendship.
what gets me in tears is snow white singing with Asha
I nominate this short for an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film.
This short is the best short in Disney history!!! Happy 100th Centennial Anniversary Walt Disney Co.!!!
I love how Antonio from Encanto was connecting to other disney animals like cinderella's birds, Pascal from Tangled and Meeko from pocahontas and other animals.
‘To ALL Who Have IMAGINED With Us, LAUGHED With Us, & DREAMED With Us…. THANK YOU.’
-The Walt Disney Company (October 16th 1923-2023)
And It ALL STARTED With A MOUSE.. Happy 100th Anniversary, Disney!
I’m so emotional i am so proud of walt disney to say thank you for the magic of my movies from disney plus I’m glad to watching them so inspiring and touching I’m crying
It truly is a beautiful short, I love it!!
To a century of magic, and to another century of more! ❤🎉
This short film was a great way to celebrate 100 years of Disney. I loved that archive audio for characters such as Genie was used.❤✨💯
"Mattinson shot the scene in August- 6 mos before he passed away" this got me! 😢
One of my favourites: Rafiki: "It is time!"
This just makes me appreciate this short even _more (👏)!_
A masterpiece. Makes me think that they should try to make a bigger and better House of Mouse reboot someday.
From all the videos I’ve seen in my life, on my phone, this is definitely a huge favorite I love!
I got emotional watching this. So many fond memories of Disney came flooding back as I watched.
To be fair who framed Roger Rabbit had cameos from Disney, Warner Bros, and other studios that do animation
But does not have many characters
@@pedrogabrielduarte4544the only cameos we got in Roger Rabbit were Donald and Mickey who are in the same screen time as Warner Brothers’ Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck
Elsa freezing Hans in the picture cracked me up, as did Rapunzel conking Kaa with the frying pan.
XD same. Some of the funniest scenes I’ve seen in this imo.
Just got done re-watching it on Disney channel!
One hundred years and so many amazing memories, characters, and movies, all thanks to the dream of one incredible man! Thank you, Walt Disney.
You know what out of all the cross overs that disney throw at us this is one of most beautiful and inspirational
How I got teary-eyed watching Mickey looking up and speaking to Mr. Walt Disney’s portrait 🥺!
I absolutely loved this short! I watched it like fourteen or so times now since it was just so good and I loved every minute of it! Best crossover since Who Framed Roger Rabbit!
Genie had me tearing up. I miss Robin Williams so much
My Favorite Once Upon a Studio Cameo is Maggie Grace & Mrs Calloway From Home On The Range
Donald being annoyed with flash is now iconic 😭
quasimodo and the gargoyles on the sign made me so happy 😁
I loved this so much and it gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling and made my eyes well up with happy tears.
HAS TO BE Robin Williams! I figured that was his voice just NEVER registered that is ACTUALLY was! MAN DIDNSEY You did again!
This short was pretty cool plus them put Snow White and Asha together is a great moment
My favorite parts we're mickey talking to the picture of Walt and all the Disney characters singing when you wish upon a star and incorporate some of Disney's forgotten Disney movie characters
It would of been interesting if there was one person in this short but still this short is priceless.
Micky talking to Walt was the breaker for me. Definitely brought a tear to my eye
There was two times I felt emotional when watching something animated
Second time was seeing this I felt my heart warm and remember all the memories I enjoyed it felt so SERENE A masterpiece and my eyes got MISTY
But my first time my true heart broke when seeing the final scene where Ash said his farewells
Every show most go on so we can enjoy and love every moment make sure you don’t blink because you gotta catch ‘em all
I loved this short so much before but the explanations makes me love it even more ❤
7:51 - It was delightfully touching to hear Robin’s voice in “Once Upon a Studio”, through the use of previously unused recordings for the Genie, under acceptance from his estate 🙂
Just like when Pixar used archival recordings of the late Paul Newman as Doc Hudson in “Cars 3” and then the late Don Rickles as Mr. Potato Head in “Toy Story 4”.
We need to give the animation team. The different styles together is so seamless together!!!
Fun fact: my family and I got the opportunity to see one of those “Disney immersions” in Detroit, Michigan in February of 2023. That was more of a “brief preview” of this short.
thank you Disney for 100 years of memories.
i also loved how they decided to use a camera that (looks like) uses film, instead of a digital camera
