Underwater Drone Footage Sebec River below Sebec Village

@MFEGoingDeep had a chance to explore some of the Sebec River below Sebec Village. The Maine IFW has been busily stocking many areas with Brook trout which is a lot of what we found as well as what looks like some wild Landlocked salmon! This waterway is one of 4 in the state to hold the original strains. Not sure what the fish were feeding on but looks like some sort of emerging aquatic insect and you’ll notice the trout rising in the water column to get them.

Those are brook trout actually the State does stock them there, also a few native landlocked salmon in there as well!

@@MFEGoingDeep sorry it looks, on MY 3" × 4" screen like a faint " rainbow " of color on there sides on those FANTASTIC! shots also saw what might have been a brown trout??. Also saw a school of MY favorit eating fish, a school of yellow perch, rather small tho!! KEEP THOSE FANTASTIC FILMS COMING ( also love the background music!!) I was raised in VERMONT by a game warden ( Brattleboro, in the late 1940s thru the early 1960s ) did a LOT fishing there in the Connecticut river, West river, and all the brooks and streams between, went fishing with my dad a LOT! , hunting too birds and squrrils. Dad spent a LOT of official time stocking the streams in his district ( Windham county ) mostly rainbows + brookies, some brown trout too as they will survive the warmer temps. in the late summer better
