Yosef MacGruber 🤦🏻‍♀️ you may be physically an adult because of your physical appearance as you grow, but you most probably would not be mentally an adult at age 13. they’re just not mature yet. heck, even some of my friends at 18 aren’t mature yet. puberty STARTS at 13, but they’ve not fully grown yet. it may be the law or tradition to have sex and to marry at an early age, but in my opinion it’s just not right. sure, they could learn to take responsibility and learn to cope with adulthood but why so early?

    • @theweirdlifeofalex7988
      @theweirdlifeofalex7988 6 лет назад +214

Yosef MacGruber people find it wrong that thirteen year olds are getting married and having kids because thirteen year olds don't have their rational part of their brain developed until the age of 25. 25! Thirteen year olds can't make decisions for themselves. Also, you begin puberty at thirteen, puberty usually ends around the age of 18. So not even your body is developed at thirteen.

    • @justaguy-69
      @justaguy-69 6 лет назад +193

Yosef MacGruber its a culture thing, in the philippines people have no social security or savings, generally, so they have many many children in hopes that one will grow up and support them in their old age, its a quantity not quality thing. for example if you have 7 kids and drop 4 off at grandmas to raise when they are 1 1/2 years old and 2 off at your ex partners house who got you pregnant and leave one with great grandma to raise, then ignore them til they are 14 or 15 then retrieve them to come "home" in hopes they will do your housework or bring income to you somehow. you have no idea what if anything they have been taught and the only relationship you really have with them is the strong peer/shame/pressure culture of philippines & family that even connects you to the woman who gave birth to you.
sometimes no matter how hard you beat them they will never care for you as a real mother or bring you income. so you kick them out so you dont have to feed them and hope one of the other children will conform and start bringing in money...and if you get one or two out of the seven to feel guilty or shamed enough into taking care of their negligent mother you are a winner in your social security/retirement plan !
what a wondrous blessing from god!
maybe where you are from things are different and your culture has a different mindset or mentality. maybe childhood is a happy time in your country,no matter how many children you have.

Whatever happened to society being more supportive of people having big families? I guess the rampant contraceptive pushing of evil NWO criminal elitists confused people, and diminished the perceived respectability and expectation of having naturally big families, actually reducing rather increasing people's options.
I hardly think that parents should have a large number of children, just so as to have old age security. There are lots of good reasons to have many children, other than just that. One huge reason that a lot of people allow for their families to grow big, is to be free of the burden of having to use birth control. It is a lot simpler to leave their fertility unrestrained, babies will happen if or as they happen.
I would suspect that if people discard their children for some other relative to raise them, those children will become attached to those relatives, and will probably not want to return "home" to do chores or to care for their elderly parents.
I read an excellent comment on a Filipino pro-life forum, advocating increased teenage pregnancies. The guy's point was that more people should marry younger, and that more young people should enjoy producing babies during the "raging hormones of youth". Sure, why not, as what he was saying, fulfills the responsibility part of people growing their families. Now I know from talking to those pro-lifers, that they were quite okay with having big families, and with populating The Philippines denser and denser with people. But it does make some sense. If parents do not like to control their fertility, then why should they expect for their many children to control their fertility? As a pro-lifer, I very much agree with allowing and encouraging the human population to grow naturally in a seeming "unchecked" manner. Sure, why couldn't my own children start having babies of their own, at a young age, well provided that they are committed to good marriages, that we can find them some reasonable jobs or economic security, hopefully have a more pro-life culture more supportive of people having their traditionally very big families. Too many people make excuses that young people are having sex anyway, so put them onto those nasty and unreliable contraceptives. No, No, No! That is irresponsible. Sex is for producing babies. If young people are ready to be adults and to be parents, then let them build the proper family nest, and let them enjoy sex in the proper procreative way.
Of course it does not keep the population growth under control, but then as a person of faith and a pro-lifer, I never did believe in controlling the population growth. That is for God to determine for us.
The ideal is to have a lot of hungry mouths to feed, but also to have the means to do so. To improve the economy and options, so that it is actually easier to care for and to support and feed the "over-sized" families of the world.

    • @justaguy-69
      @justaguy-69 6 лет назад +66

Yosef MacGruber i agree you should care for and to support and feed the "over-sized" families of the world.???.......... send all your money to the philippines to do that, and all your kids money and grandkids money and great grandkids money, just dedicate your generations of your families offsprings to work 80 hours a week to support philippino families , send all your money there.

They are adults at age 13. Why not make it safe you ask? But birth control is unnatural and bizarre and awkward, and not God's standard of morality nor "safe". They have a choice. Either get married younger, or decide to be children a while longer and not rush too fast into all the benefits of adulthood. And since marriage is the joining of two families, it is not just what the young adults want, but also what their parents judge to be best for them. Make it safe by allowing them to get married younger, if they need or are ready to.
But I think the choice is a little clearer when we admit honestly that they are adults already.

Trying to hijack the body's reproductive system and fool it into thinking that it is already pregnant, so as to not try to achieve pregnancy? Some old commercial said, "It is not nice to fool mother nature."
Anyhow, many people can not use the pill or this or that contraceptive method, because they report nausea or it messes their body up or complications.

I believe more people ought to get married younger, if they are ready. But historically, adulthood was thought to occur at about age 13. Age 12 seems a bit too young, for almost everybody. But if she is a mother already, let her be a mother. I am talking in the general case, not about a specific person or situation.

Yosef MacGruber Too often, teens do not seek adequate medical care during their pregnancy, which can result in moderate to severe complications. The more common medical complications that may occur during a teen pregnancy include anemia, toxemia, high blood pressure, placenta previa and premature birth of the baby.
Teen pregnancy may impact the baby's growth and development over time. Experts cite delays in intellectual and motor development, and more ongoing medical and behavioral issues in babies born to teen mothers. Ongoing medical care is crucial to prevent these complications from threatening the pregnancy and the mother's well being.
Many moms get the "baby blues" during the weeks and months after giving birth. While these emotional ups and downs can be difficult to manage, they typically subside. However, being a teen mom comes with a greater risk of being diagnosed with depression during pregnancy and post-partum depression after giving birth.
The reasons teen moms are at-risk of developing depression vary. Some may for fall into a depression while trying to handle the emotions a pregnancy creates and all of the possible negative feedback about the pregnancy from friends and family. While others will develop post-partum depression as a result of the significant emotional and physical demands of caring for a new baby.
Financial difficulties start to surface the closer a pregnant teen gets to the baby's due date. Often, the high cost of raising a child becomes more apparent after delivery and continues as the teen mom tries to figure out how to make ends meet. Teens who do not have full-time employment may struggle to cover the basic expenses of life upon having a baby.
Exhaustion may arise during a pregnancy. A pregnant teen should try to exercise during the pregnancy. However, if exhaustion arises, it is important to know that this is often a normal part of pregnancy. Getting the standard eight hours of sleep (or more) every night is important.
Education may be put on hold when a teen becomes pregnant. Some pregnant teens may decide to leave high school or finish school at an alternative site. If a teen has goals of attending college after high school, those plans may be put on hold after becoming pregnant. And instead, the new mom may decide to focus on the baby or getting married rather than pursuing further education.

We always together that's why I've never been lonely. One day, he asked to go at his room. I follow him and he locked the door. He also asked me to take off my shorts and lay down at his bed. I did what he says. That time, I dont have any idea of what he was doing. He even asked If it feels good and do I want more. I can't answer because I'm so confused on what does he doing to me. Thanks God my Auntie knock the door and she asked us what were doing. He stopped on what he was doing and we dressed up.

There seems to be a working education system that is teaching children the right things, including reproductive health. All that needs to be done is to ensure children stay in school and receive the education they need. If we can lift families out of poverty, then maybe the kids will want to stay in school, rather than go outside to work or fool around.

In my high school, the nuns, brothers, and priests "educated" us that condoms are not efficient, surgical intervention for contraceptives were bad as getting tumors after X years, and the lists goes on. Spreading misinformation happens in some private schools unfortunately.

Philippines is overpopulated, they need to kill more babies than producing them. Beside, abortion isn't that bad, when you think of abortion, you think that people put a scissor inside a VJJ and kill the baby, lol.
No, in the West. Most abortion done by medical (it's the safest and best option) where they just drink pills and boom, it gone, that's it! You only need operation when it's 14 weeks or older, which are rare.

This is a big problem for the poorer communities in the PH, arising from the failure to acknowledge that sex does exists and the lack of reliable resources to deal with sex. Sexuality is heavily stigmatized in the Philippines (through religion and traditional values), yet it's constantly portrayed in our media as thing that just happens. We lack the resources for proper sex education. Weirdly enough, we know what to do... but not enough of its consequences.
Prevailence of HIV/AIDS, teen pregnancy, red-light economies that even involve children. These are just some of the consequences. You can say that poverty plays part on why this exist, but I think it's mainly because of our refusal to learn more about them and how to prevent them.
What's worse is the Church is trying to crack down reproductive options. It's happening right now with the pill and IUD's. This is not only detrimental to women but to the PH population.
There's nothing wrong with adhering to a religion. But it should not prevent the State and its people from knowing and implementing what's good for itself. The State should implement proper channels for contraception and allow more appropriate sex education for teens. Parents should allowing their kids to learn more about responsible sex practices and attitudes -- not just preaching that it's wrong or unholy.

Women in the Philippines are not treated as second class citizens, they have a choice. The problem is children are not sex educated. This is due to being predominantly religious upbringing. When the government required ex education, teachers protested, old teachers. Younger teachers would love to do it, but old teachers run the schools. When the government tried to distribute contraceptives (condoms to school), again old teachers protested. This is one of the bad effects of religion in the Philippines.

Yet premarital sex goes on, because people do not take religious teachings seriously enough. And due to the rampant contraceptive pushing that lied and said that sex doesn't really have much consequences anymore. And what of the common law definition of marriage, that if you are living together and raising children as if married, then guess what, you actually are married, in the eyes of the law?
Religion isn't saying to enjoy less sex, but rather to take your parenting duties seriously and take responsibility for the children that you bring into the world. Hence marriage before sex. The world has it backwards. Pushing birth control rather than responsibility towards family and children. Religious teaching and tradition say to take responsibility for children, marriage before sex, do not use any birth control.

I help them as much as I can. I have used the withdrawal method all of my life. I knew I didn't want children I couldn't take care of. The men have to be responsible as much as the women. Condoms can leak and break. Rather than withdrawal method, why not the easiest and most elegant method, the "no method" method of allowing and welcome families to grow naturally? If even precum can cause pregnancy, then what even is the point of early withdrawal? Might as well more enjoy the sex and welcome babies to come as they may. Whatever happened to children being a wondrous blessing from God? We should favor the human life, and welcome human populations everywhere to grow and spread naturally. Human life is amazing and beautiful, and so of course human populations should naturally grow.

Only women can have opinions? That makes no sense at all. Men can be parents also. And this is not the 1940s anymore. Fathers are allowed in the birthing room also. Well since they apparently had something to do with the baby production process.
Childbirth is expensive? Why? What about home birthing then and midwife assistance, which is less expensive than hospitals? Surely you do not think that birthing babies, is only for the wealthy? Poor people should not have any children?
And for people who have objections to birth control, don't you suppose that babies are going to naturally "pop out"? If you have some objection to the term "popping out babies" then that would apply to other people not using the term also? Huge numbers of people have objections to birth control, and their objections are very understandable and valid, but if people do not use birth control, then shouldn't they plan or expect to have often some naturally large family sizes? Fortunately as a pro-lifer, I have no sinister agenda to somehow "control" the natural increase of humanity. I am quite okay with the already-huge world population naturally growing and growing with seemingly no practical nor moral means of keeping it "under control".

When you grow up together with your friends and aren’t taught about grown up stuff, trust me you go by instinct. All my little friends were real couples in their teens and started doing what their hormones would tell them to do while highly unsupervised. I went to visit a few years back, the girls had children but weren’t with the same boys. Everyone went their separate ways, with their children being raised by them and their respective families. When you are poor and live in the country side, as a young person there’s nothing else to do but to hang out with you friends of any gender, and you get very close to them.

Oh, please. I'm Cuban too and I can tell you sex education is great, you can get condoms for dirt cheap, even free. We bought them from the pharmacy when we were in primary school and used them as balloons for decoration, or to have water balloon fights. If you want an IUD or other method of birth control that needs a doctor involved you just go to see the doctor and get it or free. If you want the pill, all you have to do is go to the pharmacy and ask. We bought them (were still underage) with our school uniform and they still gave it to us no questions asked, but some of us just wanted them to smash them and put in our shampoo because they say it would make our hair grow. They will give it to you for like 3 pesos (that's nothing) and no prescription needed, and they won't ask for ID or parent's permission. And all abortions are legal and free (though I'm against that part, though). So obviously you don't know what you're talking about. Irresponsible people will get pregnant regardless of resources available. Birth control can fail as well and not everyone have the heart to kill their unborn child.
I'm not a communist, by the way. I'm just saying things like they are in Cuba. Many things suck over there, but birth control is widely available, contrary to what is happening to the people in this documentary.

As a person from the PH, I would like to emphasize this is mainly based on the poverty area which greatly needs sex ed. However, in more productive areas, it's pretty okay. One thing we are reminded greatly of is that the poor areas have men that really pressure you into stuff, and they don't consider it r@pe because the idea of that is being on gun-point and on the streets. It's pretty far off

we have the RH Law in the Philippines, which provides free birth control for all Filipinos. the vast majority of Filipinos support this. The only problem is that it hasnt been fully implemented due to a lack of money. I mean, it costs a lot to provide birth control to everyone in the Philippines. But the current president is totally for the law, and he even wants to set a 3 child limit. I hope it happens

What about human rights? What about her body, her choice? if a woman chooses to have more than 3 kids, what will be the punishment?
I totally get wanting to provide birth control and sex education--it would really help the PH reduce their overpopulation. But setting a limit on the number of kids is VERY anti-choice, anti-woman, backwards, and discriminatory. The government has NO PLACE inside a woman's reproductive health, including limiting the number of kids they can produce.

Ah, coming from someone that used to live in the Philippines but lives in the states now is really a shocker. It may seem happy and fun to others as we try to portray but you don't know the sad story of a Filipino.
In MMK most kids are portrayed as young ladies/young men at such a young age. They're forced to go through with many household chores. When I was in second grade I already knew how to fold clothes, cook, clean the house, etc. And I'm 14 years old today.
Now it comes to learning about the reproductive system. I had to learn through the school when I moved to the states in fourth grade about this. None once have my teachers of family members have told me about producing an offspring and whatsoever. I'm glad I got to learn it though because I have better knowledge on it than before.
Yes, it is very corrupt there. I pray everyday for my beloved home country to become better. I hope they keep on striving. My mom still loves the place even though we lived in a poor neighborhood when she's living a much better life right now. Everyday I hear gossiping from my parents about the problems there but despite all of it their heart is still faithful for the Philippines.
But my experience on being a Filipino is more on the bad side. When I didnt like a dish there my relatives would call me an ungrateful child because there were kids starving, which is 100% true. But in America it's okay to have your opinion. I've been compared to many other kids as well and it brought me down. My cousins and brothers got compared as well. Filipino kids have it rough, coming from a Filipino. With so many expectations at a young age it's hard.
And when you didn't do it properly you would get hit by a belt or whatever your parents could use to cause harm. Yes, it's disciple but some parents brutally harm their kids to the point where they're near death. My dad, no lie, threatened to make me kneel on rice for an hour because I did my task incorrectly. The sad, brutal truth coming from a Filipino. They are forced to do many things. My mom has told my dad to do things but he'd call me to do his chores saying it was "training." Yeah, so training is you giving me your tasks and slacking off.
Filipinos are probably telling me America has corrupted my mind but I've learned a lot throughout my 5 almost 6 years here. It has helped me become a better individual. While I live a better life now, I hope the people especially the kids. Most, not all, are forced into what I call labor. I'm sorry if this is offensive to anyone but it's my experience

I think that abortion would just give them a temporary solution and burden them of the thought that they killed *their own baby* My mother were in their exact same shoes but she managed to rise from poverty through hard work and patience, if she managed to stay that strong against all odds, why cant they do it as well? There is a bigger systemic problem here, where women don't feel like they can convince men to use condoms, which are cheap, have no side effects at all and protect against STDS as well as pregnancy. They need to be teaching young men to use condoms more than putting it all on women. A woman can have one or two babies a year. A man could impregnate six women a day if he was handsome enough.

No stigma attached to sex outside marriage anymore. Most of the teen magazines in the states promote sex as soon as possible. At such a young age, our parents are already lecturing us about sex and what's the consequences of having a huge family. They also taught us the importance of family planning, the importance of education and reaching our dreams. They are forbidding us to have a boyfriend/girlfriend not until we reach the right age. And I must say, they really did a good job on raising us all

I feel like the earth itself is so tired of humans. All these tsunamis, earthquakes, etc.

loser Is the end of this age, Jesus said it will be like this and spread with hate and division. People are showing their true colors which are fallen, the very reason why we need a Savior. When you have a close relationship with our Creator then we experience peace and hope in the middle of chaos. Jesus loves you and died for our sins. Believe in faith and be saved. It is the free gift of God to this fallen world. 🙏🏼💕
