you're going to love pc, sooo many mods, and so many of them expanded the settlement building items.
This has been my favorite build yet
I borrowed this idea, and used it for a survival jilt, basically a middle place for building shit and with a fusion power generator, and than a bus for me to sleep, then a cargo storage for my weapons, I like it, thank you so much for the idea

Thanks! - and I only had one video before that one; which was literally just a PS4 upload of me FINALLY beating Vicar Amelia in Bloodborne.
But decided to remove it as well, it wasn't really relevant (although admittedly an awesome kill).

I love this!! I have watched it a number of times trying to see all the details of what you do, I use a lot of what you do as inspiration but don't directly copy. Your stuff is awesome though.

top tip davie! before you place the wall with roof that looks like a balcony, place two small wood floors where it would be and snap 2 fences to the sides then remove the floors, that way you have a 180 degree view balcony as opposed to being obstructed either side ;)

Awesome build! I've realised you can glitch a concrete door frame into the door openings of the main building at the Slog and it looks like it's always been there. It looks so good!

Rad. I just started a new build-centered game, & used the workflow from your recent Greentop roof scaffolding last night to specifically make a lookout for a Minuteman outpost like you're talking about in Sanctuary. Took a little bit of figuring out in terms of where & how to grab things to drop it in the specific angle I needed, but once I did, it worked like a charm! Thanks for that.
Now I'm trying to decide whether or not I'll eventually drop in an artillery piece up on top or not. Seems it'd look a little awkward, this giant concrete slab supported by just scaffolding. I tried taking the center pieces away after it was already glitched in & could actually still snap in solid foundation pieces (& those did sink down into the new patched roof nicely) but now there's these big slabby pieces coming out of this roof suddenly. Anyway, looking forward to seeing what you do in terms of a cool security office/Minuteman precinct that ultimately totally upstages what I was trying to do, & make me reevaluate things & make me wanna start over entirely, again.

Congratulations on your market, it will definitely look amazing when decorated (not to say it isn't already great), however I suggest you decorate the space between the entrance building roof and the scaffolding as well, to make the settlement feel more like something built by the developers.

How do you have scaffolding frame etc? I'm trying to build and only got an option to place wooden things like walls doors etc
Like I don't have concrete, wear house etc
My guess is that you don't have the contraptions DLC, or if you do, you haven't installed it yet.

Hey, Davy. I ran into an issue after this new update, figured you might know what's going on, Starlight Drive-In's building space seems to have shrank, yet the border lines stay the same. Just sorta odd, figured I'd try to get your insight.
You should turn the pool into a bar area. I also have to say love your builds.

Any chance you'll do a military/Gunner themed settlement? I've been stockpiling a metric ass-ton of military fatigues, combat armor, and weapons so that I could make a legitimate outpost... at County Crossing, for some reason. No clue why.
Any strange hoarding tendencies you've noticed yourself doing while playing through the game? I find that I pick up any bandanas and lockets that I find, as well as Nuka Cola Quantum and any beverage ever.

amazing stuff davey, amazing stuff. Channeled your inner Todd Howard by saying "it just works." Scaffolding though has been a pain for me because it is very fidgety.
What do you think of me building a vault (when Vault Tec workshop comes out) in Mechanist Lair, the only underground settlement i know of? I was just thinking about it the other day, and I'm just curious what you think.
I like the idea.
I mean it is lore friendly because the Vault is underground. But we'll have to see. Shame though I'm on vacation when Vault Tec Workshop comes out. :( Never thought I would be sad going on a vacation!
You can only make the vault in the given area im pretty sure
you can use the vault prices anywhere
but don't build in the mechanist lair
use the new settlement it gives you

Davey (Davy?) have you considered building a tall building...sort of mini-skyscraper thing? I got, crap, 10 or 11 storeys out of Red Rocket (separate building, not on the gas station). I'd be interested to see how you tackle something like that!
Not at the Red Rocket, mind you, just anywhere where a tall building would work.
I doesn't look real. I'm part of a building community on PS4 and they love building skyscraper with concrete block floor. What the actual fuck? It's not minecraft it's got nothing to do with the Fallout 4 universe.
I've built a 4 storeys building and it's already to damn big it just stand out from the rest of the lanscape. Why everyone wants a tenpenny tower in their setllement?
there's one on my let's build playlist from like December - it's okay, but honestly tall buildings tend to look a little wank IMO.

have you thought of putting an elevator around it? that could be how you get brahmin up there?
sadly settlers don't use them - so it wouldn't help.

The more you rub it, The bigger it gets... Naah,He uses the gun glitch. were you drop a bunch of weapins then store them and repeat..I think thats how it works?? Am I right people?
+Simon Bowen ya. Drop weapons on ground, open up settlement menu, store weapons in workshop, size bars goes down
If you use it too much, you'll notice a frame rate drop. But you'll have to fill the bar up several times over before you really notice it

That's a relief! Not that I won't watch your other videos, I'm all on board for any content you make, but I love your ideas and it helps inspire some of my own designs, and I'd be heartbroken if you'd stop!

I'd say a 970 was the sweet spot pre-1080, but now I see Hydro 980tis on sale for 499.99 and I can't reccomend it anymore lol.

the thing that pisses me off more then anything is why the fuk did they make it so u cant build on that 2 story sitting area right across from where the green ends. (always hated the being froced to only build in a few areas instead of being smart and let u build anywhere.)
This has nothing to do with the video but PEOPLE OF RUclips, I NEED YOUR HELP. I found a legendary 50% robot damage combat shotgun immediately after starting automatron on my current character and it has been a godsend, however I can't think of a cool name for it like all my other main weapons. HELP.

Davey when you get your pc sorted and dat maybe you should buy Fallout 4 for pc because then you could use all the amazing mods on the nexus and dat and I think you can transfer your save from ps4 to pc (I think :p) and then its easyer to fit shit into places instead og using the rug glitch or pillar glitch (but your probably going to make out with the pillar anyways xD) but just what I think you can do when your pc is done and ready :p

Rip, i am Lvl 100, and i haven't even unlocked the slog. Fuck.
I would honestly not cheap out and get the I7 Intel proccesor, you'll regret buying an i5 because it's already starting to become under powered, because Bethesda did not optimize Fallout 4 very well you may not have a good experiance. My friend has a nice computer with a GTX 960 and some good AMD card and he can can only play above 30fps on medium and high.
I've got a 980/i5 combo and I get FPS drops and crashes constantly, so yeah, what you said.
I'm not going to playing Fallout 4 on PC as there is no point at this stage - and regarding the processor, an i5 is more than enough for my needs. I'd need to wait another month for an i7 and it's more important for the channel that I have a decent PC soon for editing.
I appreciate the advice though - it's just not really relevant to what I'm looking to do with my PC.

Absolutely agree. The money saved is not worth the disappointment.
I'm sure you've done the research but just a warning for the editing thing. I use adobe and started with an i5. It took forever to render anything, but things went so much smoother and rendered better with an i7. My girlfriend currently has an i5 now and she's having the same issues I did initially. When rendering footage she can do literally nothing with her computer other than that and it takes multiple hours for a 15ish minute video.
