  • It's tinfoil hat time! Here is my big theory take on Rebirth that I've not seen anyone suggest. That the Final Fantasy 7 Remake has been dunking multiple different Aerith's on us. Remake Aerith is the Flower Girl Remnant. Rebirth Aerith is the Aerith of Loss. The Aerith at dream date and potentially ending cutscene is Lover Aerith. Just like Sephiroth, Aerith did the unthinkable and played in different Avatars of herself that have each perform different tasks throughout Final Fantasy 7 Remake. A theory so wild that even Sephiroth didn't have enough tinfoil to predict. This theory explains the death sequence. The ending setup. The contradictions Aerith made throughout Rebirth and the personality changes thoughout Final Fantasy 7 Remake. If you love this theory, I'd appreciate feedback on your thoughts or even if you have reasons why its unviable. Share away! #finalfantasy #finalfantasy7remake #ff7rebirth #finalfantasyviirebirth #squareenix
As ever guys, your views, subs and sharing of ideas/passion is SO appreciated. For those who wish to support on Patreon, its sooooo very appreciated and we'd love to have you in the community character rep!: / finalfantasypeasant

I hope for this too. I hope Square Enix will thoroughly redeem Sephiroth and then sacrifice him in the third part.
27 years ago, they sacrificed Aerith's beautiful life. This time, she should live. If someone has to be sacrificed, let it be Sephiroth after his redemption.
Recently, the mobile games seem to be hinting at his redemption as well. There are many speculations on Twitter and RUclips. The possibility of him being redeemed is quite high. I feel like the final boss battle in the third part might not be him.

I didn't even think of this theory at first, but now it makes a LOT of sense when I think about it.
The differing responses to Cloud giving away the flower in both games was what made me buy into this theory. Part 1 Aerith didn't really seem to mind and was happy to see the flower put to use at the very least. Part 2 Aerith was a little more bitter--not just about the flower, but a lot of other things. I definitely did notice her mean streak coming out a little bit during first playthrough. If I had to guess, the Grief/Bitterness remnant was spawned as soon as they went through Destiny's Crossroads in the first game.
Kinda hard to tell if the remnant from the dream date was actually Omni-Aerith or just an affectionate remnant, but that version of Aerith was definitely more vulnerable and playful than any other time we saw Aerith. I am pretty convinced though that the Aerith that fought alongside Cloud--of whom Sephiroth admitted he "underestimated"--was in fact Omni-Aerith.
If this theory actually turns out to be canon, it'll be interesting to see when and where these remnants will pop up--and if we're gonna have an Advent Children-esque reunion with all the Aeriths.

I think the devs are trying to drop hints w/ the "3 gifts" on the date that those are the 3 Versions/Remnants of Aerith: the first game/Flowergirl one, the Bitter one (the bitter candy), and the Lover one (which ended up not happening because they didn't get their photo taken by the photographer)

I had viewed that scene as a meta-commentary to the player regarding “absence of REAL Choice” and also “not living up to Aerith/Cloud ‘shipping expectations”, (old lady “i would need to start over, but we just dont have enough time”) but I like this as well. I think it could very well be both. I also think that that scene is just so bizarre in so many ways that it has to be the writers begging you to pay attention to the underlying meaning- yet very few have really given it the deeper thought/analysis it would then deserve.

@@FinalFantasyPeasantA very catchy theory with some darkness in it! 👍 This could also be in line with the Gi saying that ancients were not so innocent and pure in their actions.
Regarding the way how information could have been exchanged between different worlds or remnants - I read an interesting comment below regarding one flower at the end when we see Zack representing theoretically one Aerith being still alive. Flowers could represent the number of worlds or remnants or anything. But one thing is for sure - flowers were speaking with Aerith. This could be the FF7 messenger for them or with OmniAerith. ✉️

“It’s too dark, it’s too angsty” - no such thing. Playing with Cloud’s feelings and turning hope into despair is what Sephiroth does.
I think the line about Aerith meeting Cloud is pointing to the way she and Zack appeared to him out of the lifestream at the end of Advent Children. It also brings up an interesting possibility, what if both Aerith and Sephiroth collaborated to turn back time and try to rerun events. For Sephiroth the objective is to win this time around, for Aerith it’s to save Cloud and the world. This is one reason Aerith is acting strange, she’s not OG Aerith she’s Advent Children Aerith just as Sephiroth is Advent Children Sephiroth. As such this Aerith goes to the Forgotten City knowing she’s going to die and accepting her fate while OG Aerith went to the Forgotten City expecting to come out OK. But I also still think all of this is happening in Cloud’s mind, that some sort of ultimate crisis has occurred and Cloud is unconscious and seeing all this as a dream. Though I think if Cloud wakes up and finds their world about to be devoured by the Heartless, setting up for them being in Kingdom Hearts, people are probably going to riot.
Edit: Actually the thing about Aerith not having any friends as a child seems weird. I know I was watching a playthrough of one of the other games where it’s mentioned that child Aerith has friends among the children in the orphanage near the church, although it could be none of them stayed friends (or all of them got kidnapped by Shinra to be experimented on). But it’s the sort of sentiment that would fit Sephiroth since he grew up isolated from other children. I wonder if it’s possible that Sephiroth is loss Aerith, or rather that Omni Aerith could have gathered the remnants of Sephiroth’s pre-Nibelheim memories and infused them with her own memories to get Hero Sephroth’s assistance against Villain Sephiroth/Jenovaroth.

But he (Cloud) still might've done something significant.
Look at her stab scene again in FF7 Rebirth, the sword is a certain angle during one timeline and ..flash.. the sword is tilted differently.
Because Sephiroth had the talk with Cloud (and informing us the audience too) about how different worlds are created, I think it's implied that when Cloud went against fate and blocked Sephiroth's blade, he created a new world for a version of Aerith (notice the rainbow light too?).
And as we saw in that world that Aerith nicknamed a 'dream' it had the rip in the sky and folks assumed their world is ending.
That's what I think is happening with the Aerith sent to a new world, she is saved but her world is also going to end soon. Somehow Cloud can see both this new world and his own world the Stamp dog (Beagle breed) simultaneously.
Aerith died in the Beagle breed Stamp dog realm but is alive(?) or existing somehow in this new world Cloud create for her.
I could be wrong in my guess but it's the best theory I have at this moment of time.

Yes! Sword in tile, Sword in concrete. Cloud isn't completely nuts, he's aware of the different worlds & living in multiple worlds simultaneously. That's why his limit break gauge is empty. He knows he saved her and that existing worlds are intertwined with those "confluence of emotions."
Notice the rest of the group was locked out of the doorway by the whispers when Cloud saved her. They came in AFTER Sephy cheated & merged worlds. I think Tifa was able to see two different worlds when she came running in due to falling in the lifestream & Aerith's love for her, leaving her a clue. I really want to see a scene where Aerith & Tifa agreed to never stop being bffs no matter who got Cloud.
Sephy laughed after Cloud saved her because merging the worlds overrode him saving Aerith. Yep, she's alive in that new world created when Cloud saved her or disappeared herself somehow...how funny would a ward shift be? Lol
I love these new games & want a golden ending where Aerith & Cloud are together. OG ps1 was about death. Remake is about life. ❤

And I'm really interested to see how the white materia will play out in the end. In the japanese version, Aerith didn't say "it's about saving the world" in the church scene, but she said specifically "this materia will save the world". So I really think she has a plan to up the power of holy compared to the original, where it wasn't sufficient to stop meteor. But it was white (deactived) when it fell into the lake? And yeah I know Cloud has another one and I'm dying to see how this all plays out. Can't wait for the third game 🤯

  • @Kean_Bean
    @Kean_Bean 20 дней назад +2

I feel like the game does quite a bit to tell us how "Omin Aerith" functions, though not sure if it refutes this theory or not.
I think comparing & contrasting The Gi, Jenova, Omni-Sephiroth, Omni-Aerith & Clouds Dream walking tells us a lot about the methods being used to communicate between Dream worlds and across time.
The Gi & Jenova are rejected by the planet because they are alien & not bound by the planets rules or systems. Like letting a foreign virus into a body they could easily disrupt its systems.
"It is that which comes from beyond the confines of this world - That which disrupts the natural order - the other which may attempt to claim and consume the planet" Cosmo Elder
Omni-Sephiroth supports this hypothesis. He is of alien descent, yet has entered the lifestream as he is also born of the planet.
What unique action is he performing? Communicating through time. How?
His mothers telepathic uplink to all of her disparate parts. It seems that this operates on a spiritual and biological level.
It also seems that the lifestream encompasses all of time, however those normally born of the planet are not able to perceive this or act through it.
Sephiroth appears to be unique in that he can use his mothers telepathic communication and whisper through time (and between dream worlds) to past versions of himself & her - "that which disrupts the natural order".
He appears to be able to do this at will. Even his spirit naturally attempts Reunion.
Omni-Aerith does not communicate in the same way but still supports this hypothesis.
She is unable to communicate at will to other or past versions of herself. She only seems to be present speaking through Aerith in Remake & piloting a comatose dream world Aerith in Rebirth. Both are in contact with the White Materia.
She required the permission of the planet to communicate between worlds and across time via a single piece of Materia. She only appears to be present when a "Living" version of Aerith is recently in contact with the White Materia.
This seems to be evidence that those born of the planet cannot possess the ability to communicate through time regardless of their power level.
So how is Cloud doing it?
He isn't just being dragged into these dream worlds by Aerith or Sephiroth. He seems to be doing it by himself.
Cloud has S-Cells. He is communicating & seeing between worlds because he has a telepathic uplink to other versions of himself and others who possess J & S cells.
He is doing it the same way as Sephiroth.
He pilots the Mako Poisoned version of himself in Aeriths Dream World.
This is how he synergises with Zack between worlds with "Together as One" during the Sephiroth Reborn boss fight. (both have J & S cells)
This is also how he smuggles the Wite Materia's information back into the real world. He uses Sephiroth's own ability against him "Poor form".
There is one more thing that seems to be consistent across all of these communication variants. To take physical action in the past or dream world, a "Living" host is required at that place and time for them to be present. (the game shows us on multiple occasions that Sephiroth requires a clone to physically manifest).
I believe that when Cloud parried Seph's blade he created a Dream World in which Aerith "survived" so to speak.
This is the Aerith who Joins us in the final battler, she is fully informed by Omi Aerith.
Omni-Sephiroth & Omni-Aerith are not from the future, they are "In the future" & dead. Whispering through time, neither can manifest here without a "living" physical vector.
Omni-Aerith may have left some remnant traces behind that weren't taken by whispers to help guide Aerith in Rebirth. Beyond that I don't yet see how they connect to the broader picture being painted, but they may be present & may have a part to play?

  • @zeldaoot23

This is super interesting. I do think that there must be at least two Aeriths - Omni and regular, or something like that. I’ve just assumed that regular Aerith - whom we get to know in Rebirth because her connection to Omni Aerith has been severed - has multiple facets, like all people. This doesn’t explain why she contradicts herself at the end of Rebirth, but I attribute that to some kind of Cloud delusion. However, I could see it playing into some mechanic where Aerith splits herself into different “memory threads” that inhabit different worlds of the Lifestream but can to some extent communicate with each other to do what needs to be done.

I very much enjoyed this theory. I think it's pretty plausible.
I'm also laughing at the notion that Omni-Aerith essentially tricked Sephiroth by pulling a Cait Sith "This wee body is but 1 of many" 😂
The only thing I quibble on is I think what's going on with the White Materia is that, like the lifestream, there can only be 1 of it however many splinter realities there are. I think that was the point of Pug reality having no mako left to extract is to show that the lifestream picks 1 reality to support because it simply can't support them all.
Aerith, I think, sent the White Materia through to another version of herself, possibly when she used it on the highway because I don't recall seeing it used again after that moment.
I think the Black Materia and Proto Materia are similarly 1 of a kind, so I look forward to seeing how they get brought into play in Part 3.

    Very juicy theory!
When you were mentioning about the differences between the Aeriths it made me think of a difference I noticed on my first playthrough: in the cosmo canyon Aerith side quest Cloud and Aerith take a picture together. However in the dream date when they first go up to the photographer Aerith specifically says they don’t have any photos together. This could obviously be that they wanted to account for people who didn’t do that quest, but at that point why have that line at all? Aerith could have also just been saying that to try to convince the photographer to pick them, but either way that really stuck out to me since that was my favorite side quest in the game.

I can see how someone who’s never played OG could be confused though but I think they can enjoy the game on its surface level. For me, these games have been a love letter to all of us fans who played this game in our youth and held such love for these characters for 28 years now! I love this theory and so far of all the many ones I’ve heard, I like this one best not because I want it to be this way but it makes logical sense. I was never really a believer in the JenAerith theory, nit because I don’t think it could be interesting, just wasn’t enough convincing evidence there for me to buy into it. That said, it’s always possible Jenova may in the future try to manipulate Cloud in his still very fractured state but once Tifa guides him through the life stream in Part 3, I do believe he will have complete clarity and I am SO here for it. Cody Christian is acting the shit out of this part ( I mean they all are) but wow what a transformation that will be. We even saw some of this character shift in his retelling if the Nebelheim incident, clearly behaving more like Zack.

I've wondered if Aerith would pull a Sephiroth (remnants) but I think if this is indeed something she has done, I think that's also why Sephiroth laughed at the end of the final battle because he's going to use everything Aerith has done, and twist it so that Cloud would end up turning his back from her. For example, if he finds out she purposefully shows herself to Cloud to prevent him from going completely nuts (after her death), in the form of an illusion, I could see Sephiroth using that against her. Which would then force Cloud into Sephiroth's embrace.

But both know the only way to beat someone who knows everything is to introduce unknowns. Enter both new game+ Sephiroth and Aerith wanting the team to break fate and "remake" things. This is why they both knew things they shouldnt in remake.

I think Omni Aerith saved Zack and put him maybe into the original timeline (or whatever timeline it is, that our party is currently on), because he is needed, because Cloud can not longer really be trusted, as he is going more and more Sephiroth. So Zack is needed to compensate for that or even possibly to stop Cloud in the end 😵 Just thoughts, but very exciting ones :D

"She dove into the current and rushed from here to there, seeking out spirits to help her - other ancients not yet dispersed. The fading shards of their consciousness responded to her call. Heartbreakingly few though they were, she infused them with her memories and gained their help."
This paragraph from Life Stream White II is interesting as it is basically describes the same process to how Sephiroth created his 3 descendants he send to earth even though it was probably forcefully in his case.
"He bound a part of himself to that image. It took the form of a young man, and he felt once again how the world of the living was unbearably confined and circumstribed - nothing compared to the freedom he enjoyed as pure consciousness. He created two more bodies, and then there were three. The three who walked upon the planets surface were not him, and yet, they were. Created by the force of his will alone, deviations from the order imposed by the planet."'
I always thought Aerith is creating the white whispers this way and while this might be true the process itself sounds more like as you call them remnants as whispers at least in Sephiroths case are tormented souls and not souls infused with himself.
But then I stumbled over this:
"He tried to send his spirit above to walk the surface, but nothing came of it. The planet had consumed the memories of his own form, leaving him with no image on which to anchor his consciousness."
We know that Aeriths soul is not dispersed in the lifestream and she can decide for herself when its time or in other words, the planet has not consumed her memories so... does she still have an image on which to anchor her consciousness onto? Can she just pop back up in one way or another? Is that what we see with the "Aeriths" in the Remake trilogy?

I think the Multi-Aerith and 'Jenaerith' theories are both correct. I also fully expect Cloud to be an enemy, at least temporarily, from very early on in part three.
The original game takes us through the Whirlwind Maze at the beginning of disc 2, and Jenova/Sephiroth makes a play for the black materia, and the section concludes with Cloud handing it to him directly. Assuming part three (FFVII: Return, calling it now) follows the same trajectory, we know Jenova's sway comes into play. I think this is going to manifest itself via the 'Jenaerith' theory this time around, because Sephiroth's goals and methods have been slightly different in both Remake and Rebirth.
The goals bit is especially important; as it stands, we know two of Sephiroth's. First, he wants to (and seemingly has managed) to use the black materia to 'merge worlds and use the collective spite and sorrow to feed the planet.' Second, he wants to bring Cloud over to his side. On top of outright beckoning Cloud to lend him his strength multiple times, he's systematically been making strides to pry Cloud away from the clutches of those with the strongest hold on him, namely Aerith and Tifa. Aerith alone would fall in line with his plan in the original game to stop her before she could use the white materia. The addition of Tifa to his 'ways to mess with Cloud' to-do list is bizarre--unless you consider that it's all for the sake of making Cloud more malleable, more controllable.
Getting him to do simple, albeit pivotal tasks in brief exercises of control has been a trend, but Cloud always finds himself again, either through the direct aid of Tifa/Aerith, or through sheer force of will when either of them are involved. The one time he doesn't that I can recall is when Sephiroth has to convince Cloud that Tifa isn't Tifa at all; that's the only way he can get him to even consider attacking her. So how do you combat his will, his bonds? Aerith--or a remnant of her, at least--has to die at exactly the right moment on that altar in the City of the Ancients, and notably after he used the black materia to merge the worlds. It's not as if Sephiroth couldn't have done it at any point prior to the Forgotten Capital, so why that moment? Historically, it's when all of Cloud's spite and sorrow, grief and pain, were at their peak, and he needed all of it to permeate through the lifestream, to bleed between worlds into one Cloud. Enter 'Jenaerith,' appearing at the exact height of his pain, to take it all away in an instant by embodying exactly what he can't bear to lose. After the altar, Cloud doesn't question the flashes in his head, the behavior of the others, the presence of the Black Materia, any of it. Now shattered, he wholeheartedly devotes himself to Aerith and goes ahead on his way.
So where does the Multi-Aerith theory come in? Through all of the examples of inconsistent personalities, strange bits of dialog, and seemingly being in multiple places at once, it seems pretty obvious to me that she at least has multiple instances of herself, if not an Omni-Aerith pulling the strings. We also see her exercise her command of the lifestream to pull both herself and others to different timelines or instances. This, I think, is what's going to lead to Zack's appearance in part three. For a time, he's going to have to replace Cloud as the party tries to bring him back to his senses, and Aerith is going to send him to do just that, in a world where she can no longer exist.

Jenova/aerith theory is 99% false imo... In the end cutscene red can sense her spirit, then when she says "ill put everything in my prayers to stop meteor, and ill leave the rest to you, good luck." She's waves and looks quite upset.
Cloud thinks she's gonna go back to the altar and finish her prayer, then when he beats sephiroth, he's gonna come back and get her, and it will be all happy ever after. She feels bad for leading him on, and you can see it in her face.
Then at the very end, she looks upset as the bronco flies off, and then says goodbye... like why would jenova say those things? So yea it's at least 95% aeriths spirit in that scene, and not jenvoa 😂
In regards to aerith saying "you promise!" She's just leading him on, she already told him to leave sephiroth to her... she's just being nice. Clouds in no right mind to accept her death just yet, and aerith has to lead him on for a while.. encourage him even. That's all it is. Encouragement I think

Red is an unreliable narrator in and of himself though, as he has sephiroth cells in him. He is number “13” after all, and has a tattoo and everything. Hes a sephiroth clone. So if its jenova making cloud see aerith, Red would potentially be affected too.

      @haihuynh8337 29 дней назад

Right. Both Jenova and the Planet have the roles in this. They are represented as Sephiroth and Aerith. They both exert illusions over Cloud's mind.
On the one hand, Sephiroth is trying to make Cloud think that everything would end in the way Sephiroth wants: the rift in the sky, the feeling of loss and sorrow at Aerith's death, etc. All that to sow the seeds of loss and sorrow into Cloud's mind, breaking him to the point he would side with Sephiroth to help the homecoming during the last 7 seconds.
On the other hand, Aerith is trying to console Cloud to douse the grief of her death as well as bringing hopes for brighter future. We all know what happened after the OG: Cloud is totally broken and couldn't let go of the grief for Aerith. Aerith - knowing that - is now trying to save him from such a painful future. She's sowing the seeds of hope and acceptance into Cloud's mind, guarding him from the influence of Sephiroth.
So, everything is still in Cloud's head - a.k.a. illusion. So for sure Jenova/Sehiroth are not stupid to create illusion of Aerith being alive because it would be against breaking Cloud's mind.

Interesting theory! There's no denying that her personality was a bit different at certain points throughout Rebirth... but I hadn't considered the possibility that there might be a very specific reason for that!
The scene at Costa del Sol seems to corroborate the possibility of multiple Aeriths - when she was talking about Cloud meeting her future self and how he's going to love her. By your theory, this would have been the Aerith of Loss talking, and it suggests that she was aware of other versions of herself in existence.
I must admit, I found the idea to be a bit far-fetched at first. But if Sephiroth can do it, why can't Aerith do it too?

  • @renegade637

With regards to the Rebirth Aerith being a different Aerith compared with Remake, the remnant idea is rather interesting. However, I took it as Aerith finally getting the friends she longed so much for and feeling safe enough with them to confide in them some deeper, darker feelings she's had pent up inside. Why hasn't she opened up like this until now? Because she wanted to emote an upbeat attitude to compensate for her lonely childhood.

So perhaps damsel-aerith stored her memories in the white materia that she gave to cloud, who then gave that materia to loss-aerith in the forest and gave cloud her empty/clear holy materia.
This implies that damsel-aerith possesses more knowledge than loss-aerith naturally. Most likely damsel-aerith learned all this from her mother's memories, which were stored in the holy materia.
This would explain why sephiroth was stalking this specific version of aerith. He's trying to delete aerith's memories, as well as ifalna's.
Lastly, it's possible the black materia cloud pulled out of his pocket in the final scene was actually the empty holy materia, filled with cloud's corrupted memories.

    • @crowevil4658

He had both materias. Empty and clear. When he put away clear he felt the black one. At least that’s what I remember.
Edit: I just rewatched the scene. He looks at the clear Materia (white) and puts it in his pocket… it clinks with something audibly. And he is surprised there was something else there and pulls out the black Materia, which is about twice as big as the empty Materia. So no, not the same Materia.

i think the cloud meeting aerith in another timeline or whaetever you call it is a nod to the tactics one where they met in there. they are tying/exploring every route where cloud and aerith interacted in other games and integrating it in remake as it is the culmination/end of ff7 franchise in a long time so they are putting it all together.

Maybe they'll show Cloud jumping through worlds through via the lifestream in the next game. He'd basically be looking for a way to find Aerith and they could show bits of him ending up in the Tactics world, Kingdom Hearts world, whatever other games they've been having him and Aerith cameo in over the years to basically make all those fun little appearances have some sort of canon reason for happening...... And all in glorious next gen graphics, or even better just do those bits in CGI! Man I would love it if there was a legitimate reason for the devs putting them both in all those games over the years instead of it being just a fun little meaningless nod to remember the series, that would be fantastic if it ties into the final plot

I’m about 23 minutes in and you’ve got me tearing up. I LOVE these characters. They’ve been a part of my life for 28 years and what the devs are doing in my opinion is nothing short of brilliant. Screw the purist naysayers. This is SO much more interesting and in fact the end of OG FF7 was rather ambiguous in many ways. I did notice the striking personality differences, especially with Lover Aerith in her “dream” sequence with cloud. I still find it very strange that she used the word homecoming. There’s also the repeated thematic use of promises throughout the entire game. Not to venture too off course , but man, I got the feels when you said that’s the Aerith that Zack needs to rescue. It’s so perfect and it adds meaning to the many layers and complicated nature of her affections towards both Cloud and Zack. 8n many ways, this theory reminds me of what they did in WESTWORLD, Delores making copies of herself but eventually they form their own unique nuanced differences. This theory goes a step further in a more mystical sense, and to anyone that thinks it’s crazy, my answer will alway be ITS FINAL FANTASY GUYS ITS A FANTASY GAME! Love your channel and vids this is perhaps one of my faves you’ve done!

Zack should live as well and go back to Cissnei in Gongaga-shes been keeping his home and parents safe all this time, they need a reunion!
But anyways Aerith has made it so clear that she wants to LIVE, if we don't give her a chance at life I guess a major glow up would be a decent substitute.

That they’re souls are either not in the same dimension or they’re just in the lifestream which in a way is like being in another dimension, all we can do is wait and see I would bet anything that depending on our actions in the game depends on how we deal with the game

I was firmly on the Jenova masquerading as Aerith in the dream date scene until now. I honestly thought that Aerith would not create remnants but if the threat was so dire, I could see it happening. There is obviously different personalities at play and I think the first switch happened at the end of Remake. The final scene where Aerith stops and says “I miss it, the steel sky”(can’t remember what the new line they added is off the top of my head) but the Aerith from Remake didn’t strike me as the one say something like that. Somewhere between going through destinies portal and standing in that cliff overlooking Midgar is when the two did the old switch-a-roo. I’ll have to go back over chapter 18 to see if there is a noticeable change in the her mannerisms at a certain point.
I’m still sure that Jenova is playing an active role somewhere because Sephiroth has managed to separate himself from it. After Cloud uses Omnislash at the end of VII and we get the close up of Sephiroth with blood on his face, he dissipates and several red orbs drift out of him and we see those same orbs in the the village of the Gi when Gi Nattak says that they have been discovered. I don’t think it was the planet, it was Jenova that discovered them. When Gi Nattak teleports in this same colour of red is present so could lead one to think that Jenova has Gi origins and it is the world ender and the Meteor is only the vessel that delivers it.

Very interesting theory it added a different perspective on why Rebirth Aerith is drastically different compared to Remake. It's quite sad how depressing Rebirth Aerith became just because she lost her memories. No wonder Rebirth Aerith's scenes makes me more emotional. The best part of this theory was the idea at the Sleeping Forest Aerith being the Remake Aerith. I always felt odd about Aerith mentioning "we meet again" when they were literally together at the Temple of the Ancients, falling into the abyss just before.

I dunno. The reason for the remnants existence was that Sephiroth had already given his memories to the Lifestream, he was able to keep a part of himself, his will, separate from the lifestream but the rest was gone into the flow.
The remnants used Jenova and siphoned the memories of his appearance from Tifa and Cloud and anyone who they came into contact during the movie. Had they gone directly to Rufus and took Jenova it might have not worked.
But, this might be very well a valid explanation. There *are various Aeriths, either physically or spiritually. These being controlled by OG Aeirth might explain the Follow the flowers line in Remake, there Aerith gave the impression of being guided by someone in a grater plane of existence.

It was shown there were multiple Zack's. Zack chose both to save Aerith and to save Biggs and to not be able to decide of the 3 after Biggs was shown to be killed in the previous scene so that was clearly 3 different Zacks. Aeriths, Clouds, Sephiroths. After the final fight Cloud and Aerith link hands and fade out then it shows Cloud go to her body and tell her to wake up. She does. Then it shows the party post water burial and Cloud is surprised when Aerith appears to him.
Cloud merged with his wheelchair bound self earlier on. So multiple worlds as Sephiroth stated and some merging. Cloud went through another Destiny's crossroads portal while the rest of the party did not so he is in a world where he saves Aerith and not in one simultaneously whereas the rest of the party is not.
Aerith knows she has to die for Sephiroth to be defeated so she is making sure that is her destiny while Sephiroth has gone back to stop it from happening (He let Cloud block the sword. The whispers were even lifting Cloud's sword up so he'd be ready to block and released it when he needed to) in one world then he will merge the worlds. He's also F'ing with the party for fun.

I think that Aerith in the dream date (and IMO the one in Remake's "resolution scene") is just post AC Aerith. That would explain why she'd call the church "their place" even though at this point at the story the church didn't mean much to Cloud. Also would explain why she's way more affectionate towards him even though at this point in the story, even if you take her on the GS date, it's not yet earned.

I think Jenova wasn't successfully destroyed, and that Jenova has found a way, at the end, to linger as geo stigma as shown in Advent Children. And, all of the antagonists shown in Advent Children are just Jenova aspects including the Materia summoned Sephiroth. Actual Sephiroth may play a huge role in solidifying Cloud's resolve to becoming a 'hero' by charading as an opposition in a similar fashion as EC's utilitarian moment; and Zack will play a big role in redefining Cloud's mentality and memories.

  • @RayEros
    @RayEros Месяц назад +1

So this is a theory of the life stream worlds and how they affect the presents future in ff7 i call it the resolution theory. Cloud is in the wheelchair sick in mideel.
There he sees dreams. Dreams of the past. Events that already took place. But this time he is making diffrent choices in those dreams. And these choices create alternate or new worlds within the life stream.
If cloud saves Aerith in a past world that is in the life stream and Aerith never dies in this past world, then a new branch of future happens as a continuation of that past world turning it into a new world. There can be an infinte amount of choices in these past worlds leading them into new ones.
They are all shadows of the past and any new future outcome from these worlds however will not change events in the future of the present. However if discoveries where made in the past worlds of the life stream of certain events such as for example Cloud discoverd Tifa has a box of stamp choco bars in her room.
Him accessing this knowldge from the past memory will allow him to make descisions in the presnt that change the out come of the presents future. For example he sees the box of chocolates in a past world and in that world he chooses to eat the chocolates.
Doing so would create a new world within that past world that would branch out from its choices and lead into new outcomes. Its like playing chess.
You see the moves in your mind you see the out comes of the moves you make and what will happen to those out comes and then you make moves in the real world knowing what the outcome will be. Cloud seeing Aerith alive is all in his mind an imagining. Its not real.
Its apart of the past outcome which is why he sees her alive. Jenova in the present can wipe his memories and give him new ones. This will cause Cloud to live a new life in the past in order for it to lead to a new out come in that past world creating a new world with new outcomes.
Which when it comes to a resolution the cloud in the real world can make choices and descisions based of the choice of the past or past world memories. He can move around in the past memory worlds with the freedom to explore events.
Doing so will lead to new outcomes in these past worlds and allow for the present world Cloud to take action on certain events to cause future outcomes in the real world based of the findings of the events that take place in the worlds within the life stream.
Final fantasy 7 Resolution. Could be the name of part 3 who knows.
So these events that take place in the past memory worlds of the life stream abd their future out comes, non of them are real. They are all an illusion of the mind as they take place in memories or from them. Memories being from the mind.
Which leads to fate. If the choices made in these past worlds are made in them then the destiny of those worlds and the end result of them can become known in the present. If this happens the fate or destiny of the present world becomes known to the observer of these past memory worlds.
This means the observer then can predict the future of events that have been destined in the past. Leading to future fate. Fate is created from the knowledge of the past and the worlds that come out of it affected by its choices. Allowing for the observer to act on these past outcomes in the real world knowing what it will lead to from the results they found of the future that took place due to past choices.
This way Cloud could end up predicting what will happen in the present and make present choices from ehat he knows of the past worlds outcomes and affect change in the presents future. But for events that have already taken place in the past with fated outcomes, they can not be changed or make any changes in the present.
For example if cloud tries to save Aerith in the past world blocking sephiroths attack whilst being dead in the present due to past event. It will not change the present world. It will only change the past world leading into a new world branch from that past. Which will create a future that does not exist.
So the future out comes from the past worlds can either be made manifest in the presents future or it can not be made to change the presents future leading it to create a new branch of the past with a non existant out come but a more what if out come.
As in what if Aerith survived how will the present world be or what would it look like. The present clouds only job is to save the world from meteor. And to do that he has to use the past memory worlds to observe and see what the outcomes that lead to meteor being summoned are and how they take place.
That way he can then in the present make descision that do not go down the path of meteor but instead to the desired fated outcome he wants. It only becomes fated as the choice he makes will lead to his desired result.
So if 1+1=2 we know that 1 needs to be plused by 1 to get the result of 2. 1 being plused by 1 is fated to lead to 2. And changes made to the first 1 will result in a change to the end result. So for example if 1 became 3 the result will become 4.
However its not about going back in time. Cloud and the gang are not time travelling. Its about discovering things in the past that will help to affect change in the future. So when Cloud wakes up from that sick chair he will know what needs to be done as he already has seen it play out.
Ok im gonna stop there. Im going in circles again but its more for me to grasp the concepts more than anything. I will continue to meditate on it and try to dive deeper.

Does this mean the Aerith that remained at the end of Rebirth is The Last Remnant?

"We don't have any (photos together) either!" - Well, you do, in Cosmo Canyon. But not this Aerith, I guess.
I can see it. I always thought Remake Aerith was pretty much the same as Omni Aerith given how much she seemed to know and her abilities.

Or they could've just considered that since it was a side quest they acted like that part didn't happen. Not everyone did it(especially if they were gunning for the Tifa date)... Actually I don't even think Pez finished that side quest did he?

Everyone is fractured into bits and pieces, by choice or by circumstance....Jenova, Sephiroth, Aerith, Cloud, Zack, etc. The next game will take "The Reunion" premise to the nth degree. Once Jenova's bits/Sephiroth's will have been drawn out of the fractured worlds Cloud will trap them in the clear materia. They'll seal this new Black materia away a la Raiders of the Lost Ark. Or not.

I only don't believe the Jenova Aerith theory because the loss of Aerith is part of what throws him over the edge and makes him go into his coma state.
But yeah i agree with this one i believe Aerith is the person behind it.

I mean its possible. But her remanants would be diffrent. More like how she guided tifa or became apart of her in a sense i beleive sisnei, jessie and tifa are her forms of remanants. If you notice when she helped tifa to aid cloud in life stream she kind of becomes a part of her and lives on through her. Just like Zack and sephiroth live on through cloud. Even marlene might be a remanant of her in a sense. Think about it.

Hey pez, just want to point out something just in case you didn't notice.
Wedge dies in OG by falling from the pillar. Biggs dies from getting shot. Zack dies from a horde of Shinra soldiers. Aerith dies from sephiroth. Sephiroth dies because of cloud.
So we are distinctly shown that Zack, in every timeline, is confronted by a horde of Shinra soldiers. Biggs is shot. Wedge dies from falling. Aerith is killed by sephiroth.
So despite the differences in the world's, like the different stamps, it seems everyone's fate plays out the same in every world.
We know Sephiroth needs to defy destiny, and his destiny is being defeated by Cloud. So his whole agenda is to convince Cloud to join him.
So even if worlds converge, an individuals destiny is the same in every world. Sephiroth needs to breed hatred and sorrow so souls in the lifestream want defeat the force responsible for destiny, which is the lifestream.

    • @Straychocobo
      @Straychocobo Месяц назад

Do you think that Zack might have proved you can change fate by the end of the game? There's more to come so maybe it will still play out the same in the end, but you got me thinking that the purpose of Zack's whole storyline was to show that it is possible.

    • @WiseTribe9
      @WiseTribe9 Месяц назад

@@Straychocobo I think, Zack, Aerith and Sephiroth are all operating in a gray area. Aerith and Sephiroth are definitely altering events despite the lifestream correcting fate afterwards. Zack definitely seems to me like he's been given this ability by Omni Aerith to assist in the battle for Clouds mind.
Ultimately I believe fate will not be broken because defying destiny is Sephiroth's whole agenda. If fate is Ultimately broken, sephiroth wins. Part 3 will put us in a situation where we must come to terms with and accept Zack and Aeriths death. Sephiroth will try to use that loss to convince us to join him in defying destiny, to save them. But we will end up defeating him and protect the lifestream. We are going to get another scene of Aerith and Zack walking off into the lifestream like in Advent Children after we defeat Sephyy

@FinalFantasyPeasant I still believe their is a good Sephiroth in the realm somewhere maybe sealed by Future Sephiroth so he can't interfere.
This Sephiroth is at the Edge of Creation learning and feeling his memories. If memories help give give power, I can see Omni Aerith helping Sephiroth renew his soul to help in the battle later.
While Zack draws Future Sephiroth's attention by interfering and being in the way, he wants to save Cloud...that's Zack's goal.
Aerith keeps catching Future Sephiroth off guard with her plans. What would be the most off the rail plan she could make a Good/Hero Sephiroth who has seen the wrongs he committed and wants to make them right.
Edge of Creation Sephiroth is shown to be more human than the others...so I think he to will play a huge part in part 3.
Plus so many people keep asking why is the creators making Sephiroth more human...we are supposed to hate him. He's supposed to be the big bad boogyman...why are they doing this?
I think that's the point...Ever Crisis gave us a look into Sephiroth's humanity...if Omni Aerith can use the Lifestream to show memories that explains Sephiroth's memories resurfacing at Edge of Creation.
What if a Good/ Hero Sephiroth who is at the Edge of Creation is her true trump card to stop Jenova Sephiroth.
I truly believe Aerith has forgiven Sephiroth now that her true instincts as a Goddess awakens, she never says she hates Sephiroth. She hates Hojo and Jenova the start of all this pain. Sephiroth is as much a victim as she is so what better way to let him get his revenge for his fall then having Good/Hero Sephiroth come in and defeat the evil that infected him and made him the monster he never wanted to be.
Sorry long theory but it's been on my mind for a long time.

I’ve never played either, but I’ll say Kingdom Hearts because I don’t want Square to make another dark ending like ff16 or 15. Some hope would be nice at the end of the game especially if they are going through the trouble of making changes to the original ff7 game.

she is just the life stream Aerith

    • @zest01

@@FinalFantasyPeasantshe thanked cloud for everything which looked like a a final goodbye. Probably got killed by Sephirot in the church as she expected and as cloud could assume. “We meet again” underlines that had not been a final goodbye.
But a lot of those dialogues can be interpreted differently.

Great theory but for me it trivialises her death and ruins ff7. Her acting differently could just be connected to her memories being lost, since we are what our memories make us, and lifestream Aerith exists in every theory and canon so ye.

When Hamaguchi, Kitase and Nojima were asked about anything concerning the direction of the STORY, they would usually say that's on Nomura. The books were the only thing that Nojima got free rein on as long as he didn't write directly about what Cloud felt. Because Cloud is you, the player.
But you're seeing the story as Cloud at this point with your own biases and that wasn't the case before you played Rebirth. You were on to something there but clarity comes when all the excitement and biases wear off. I just think you had developed some new notions during this playthrough that is preventing you from coming up with the brilliant theories you're known for.

The puffing cheeks mannerism was talked about in Traces of Two pasts as something she would do as a kid to show a cute annoyance that she stopped dpimg as an adult except on one occasion to let someone who knew her as a kid know she was the same girl he knew.
Doing it on the date I think was her trying to tap into this carefree mindset. The remnants idea is a fun one though!
