- We have been running 10 weeks of virtual rehearsals with Only Boys Aloud. Over this time, the boys have been learning this song. During the final rehearsal, the boys recorded their vocals at home, and we have put them all back together with a video performance from Zoom to create this virtual OBA Choir.
We asked our former member, and now West End star, Tom Hier to join us on this track.

So glad to see Tom Hier again. He disappeared from the group after turning 19 and I thought we might never see him again. He's got a wonderful voice and personality. Hopefully he will remain connected with the group. Welcome back Tom !

Let’s not forget their director who somehow magically gets the entire group to stay focused and perform from their hearts. I see every single boy looking as though they love what they are doing. That’s as amazing as the sound the boys create. Salute!

Please give us more you tube videos from Onlyboysaloud. It is so great to see how much young lads enjoy singing. And it is something they should be encouraged to do rather than waste their beautiful lives with drink smoking and drugs. That is team spirit,. I loved singing when I was at school, and I enjoyed hearing my son sing. I also enjoy hearing the Welsh language, reminds me of my junior school teacher

Great job guys. I've been following OBA for 5 years now, and can see and hear their improvement. I believe this new song will go down as being one your greatest accomplishments. Tom you did a marvelous job. Tim, you and your staff are doing a marvelous job. We all love your work.
How have I missed this?? Fantastic! We were on family vacation when I first listened to it and I replayed it so many times, I heard my 9 year old grandson singing ‘in the middle of the niiiggghhhttt’ and bouncing his basketball in rhythm. Then I heard my daughter singing it in the shower. We were in Boston.
BTW, did you see that a truck driver in Oregon listens to you (I’m just a little old lady in West Virginia listening to you). BOYS, you’re taking over the world..at least the United States. I find myself thinking (now why did we fight that war?). I have Welsh ancestors and an ancestor who fought for the British in the Revolutionary War.
And yes, kudos to the director who has built up both Boys and Men Aloud. He had a vision and look at it now!!!
I’ve always been proud of my heritage, but after following OBA, I kinda wish I was Welsh. 🏴

I've never been to Wales. But I have studied under The University of Cardiff. Theological studies.
@@OnlyBoysAloud I enjoy very much listening to Tom Hier again. I still think a reunion of the original cast (Gareth Evans, Emyr Wyn Jones, Karl Westwood, James Morgan, Joe Harris, Ifan Jenkin of course, Thomas Miles and few others would be a one time performance and greatly appreciated for us who have been following OBA since the original performance. That Christmas performance of John Lennon song was fantastic and put you right in the spirit of the season that is why even in the heat of August 2020 it is still enjoyable to watch.
@@LakeAriel-tc6be While I'm sure an actual physical reunion would be next to impossible for the now young men, considering how varied & far flung their lives must be by now, can we all dream of a***virtual*** reunion?
I can't even imagine how difficult & complex such a project would be, but the "River of Dreams" video definitely shows it can be done.
Maybe it could function as a fundraiser to help continue the fine work of OBA.

I've watch your performances and listened to your voice since you first joined OBA. I'm so grateful to Tim Rys Evans for creating these choirs and giving so many the opportunity to develop and grow and make something of their lives.
