As a veteran of musical theatre, both as an actor and director, it's not often that you find two such impeccably placed and effortless voices. These two young men just open their mouths and let the notes pour forth--with precision and meaning. It's a breathtaking version of this beautiful song. Watching this for the 100th time, I am particularly struck with how Steffan's beautiful face and subtle body movements express the meaning behind every word. He lives the song. And that's not to denigrate Tom's gorgeous singing. I can't imagine a better, deeper version of this song.

This male duet is so indescribably beautiful that I don't even know how to begin to describe it.
So for now, I'll just share one of my favourite moments; 2:29, when Tom hits that gorgeous, resonant C3 (wind of the seaaaaa) - man, I just can't help smiling. And it just looks absolutely effortless for him!

All I can say is absolutely beautiful
In this video I am fascinated by the contrast between the interpretation of Steffan and Tom.
On one hand, there is Steffan so openly expressive. Fascinating how in one phrase he can express the different emotions fleeting in and out of a line... At one point pensive or deep in thought, and the next breaking out into an openly revealing and deep emotion. I have said in another of his video how his face tells the story on its own, so moving to watch.
Then on the other hand, there is Tom's almost restrained interpretation; how at times he has his downcast eyes and his expression "held in check" as if guarding the gamut of emotions within. Then shines the "rare" moments when he looks up, and a smile, somewhat hesitant and almost against his will, breaking out to reveal hidden emotions. Man!
So beautiful to see how these two contrasting artists give life to such a beautiful piece. And of course, there are the two beautiful voices perfectly blending and complementing each other. What I'd give to see these two artists in live concert :)
