Disney has done a pretty decent job of the new EU so far in my opinion. I'm enjoying the Aftermath novel series, and the Vader comics a lot more than anything I have in legends...except Old republic content and the Thrawn trilogy. It really just seems like they are cherry picking the best parts of the old EU and reintroducing it, which I am fine with.
Reminds me of some other Legends stories of background Imperials in ANH. -The sandtrooper who says: "Look sir, droids" was named Davin Felth, and he shot his captain in the back when they were engaging Han Solo at the Falcon. This is because he disagreed with the recent atrocities he was part of, like burning Owen & Beru. -The death star gunner who says: "Stand by, stand by..." right before the death star exploded was named Tenn Graneet. He was guilty over destroying Alderaan, and hesitated to blow up Yavin 4, whihc is why he said "Stand by" because he hesitated and refused to fire, it gave enough time for luke to destroy the station.
Never knew the sandtrooper sergeant had an actual name, I figured he had a TK number, also speaking of sandtroopers, the squad leader who was stopping speeders to check ID, is also the trooper who bumps his head on a door in the Death Star, it also seems that letting Luke pass got him demoted.
One of the reasons why the Death Star explosion would be such a bad thing in the real world is due to all of those super high ranking officers dying. When your most senior officers all die at once, it isn't going to be the most smooth next few weeks in your military.
That would explain the battle of Hoth. Ozzel and Piett were inept in their handling of the Hoth blockade. Only Veers who lead the ground assault had any real effective leadership. This is what happens when rapid promotion goes unchecked. Also Vader force choking officers was kinda a problem too.
If I were an Imperial top officer onboard Vader's ship. I would certainly keep a low profile...and in light of Vader's "termination of employment" of two officers, my ass would have either deserted or defected to the Rebels in a heart beat!! Lolololol

I was gonna comment this because I've always thought it too. Good thing I read through some of the comments to avoid redundancy. But, let's not forget that "A New Hope" was originally simply known as "Star Wars" and George Lucas thought it would never be as successful as it was (especially with the difficult production). Moff is also a Governor, but he/she governs a whole sector. So a Moff is higher rank than a Planetary or Regional Governor who governs only a planet or system/sub-sector. As I understand well, the Grand Moff governs a priority sector or more sectors . A Grand Moff can pass across every Sectors without consulting the certain sector's Moff.
Moffs and Grand Moffs are appointed by Emperor Palpatine himself and they are usually warlords too. They only have to report to the Emperor or to the Imperial Advisors. Romodi makes a brief appearance in Rogue 1, but I can't recall if he was even credited. in the GUIDE TO WARFARE, there's a brief write-up about the character which was pretty interesting. I hope it makes it nuCanon before too long.
In the original Marvel monthly comic book series from the late 70's and early 80's (stories that the arrogant geniuses at Disney-owned Lucasfilm would now derisively label as "legends"), the siblings of General Tagge, both Baron and Domina, were prominently-featured characters. From what I recall, Baron Tagge was a wealthy industrialist and weapons manufacturer for the Empire who, though not Force sensitive, was skilled in the art of lightsaber combat. After his death, his sister Domina seeks revenge on both factions of the galactic civil war by unleashing a plague called the Crimson Forever. The storylines were partially premised on the idea that there had existed a long-standing feud and rivalry between the House of Tagge and Lord Darth Vader. Of course, General Tagge himself, as mentioned in this video, was shown after the first Death Star's destruction enjoying a short-lived promotion in the pages of the first monthly Darth Vader comic book series.
Dank Memes I was just asking. The entirety of the Republic army were Clones except for the Jedi Generals, so it would make sense. He looks different and doesn't have accelerated aging, so that's why I asked.

The empty chair....
Haha Collider Jedi Council? Yeah I really like that idea.
Perhaps Krennic's seat?
That's the theory. And I love it! :)
it was Krennic's seat yes.
Fortner Films 2016 for Krennic 😞😭
I loved this breakdown. Thank you.
Correct me if I am wrong, Chief bast (sp?) was the one who deleted scenes where used for The Holiday Special in 1979 right?
Right. Which of course couldn't happen if he died on the Death Star..
1978.
Lol I love how that one guard was force sensitive
I have a question, since Tarkin was a captain during the Clone Wars, was he a clone?
Hunterworld what the hell, no?! You dumb?
Dank Memes I was just asking. The entirety of the Republic army were Clones except for the Jedi Generals, so it would make sense. He looks different and doesn't have accelerated aging, so that's why I asked.
Hunterworld In the replublican army in the clone wars they were a lot of non clon oficials like for example Yularen (sorry for the bad english)
The admirals were not clones not all of them at least.
ALWAYS ANGRY Aleks Ok, thank you.
Welcome to Legends where at least 1 person in the room is force sensitive…
Dgmw Legends is superior but the trend of random force sensitives was a bit ridiculous
Video idea; do you consider the Ewok films to be Cannon, Legends or other?
GeauxBurns canon lol
please do a video about how many important people were killed in the death star and how did it affect the empire
id love a standalone movie where all these guys go on team building weekend, it would be a comedy of course, "what do you mean you didn't bring a can opener!"
Can you do a video on why the second Death Star was built so sporadically and randomly? Like with pieces sticking out and the hull branching off in some places?
A force sensitive Death Star trooper died?
Tragic.
LMFAO 😭
Who was the one they recast and brought back for "Rogue One" (not counting Vader or CGI Tarkin)?
