    A newer AT variant was seen in “The Last Jedi”, the AT-M8 or “All-Terrain Megaton Eight” was named after its supposedly eight megaton back laser. It boasted a much larger size than its AT-AT predecessor and more armor, resulting in a bulkier, almost gorilla-like appearance. It was used by the First Order against the Resistance.

    I got a question if anyone knows the answer to it.
    I've seen that the Star Wars universe has tanks,aircraft,spacecraft,and walkers and what not.
    But do they have any water Navy references or anything?They may not be needed anymore but i'm just curious if they have anything for the ocean planets or what not.

    • @JP-yf2fk
      @JP-yf2fk 8 лет назад +1

      Well, their starships are commonly referred to as their navy. But some sea ships exist I think, but most are just spacecraft that have been modified

      @ComradeDragon1957 8 лет назад +2

      TS FS
      Well yeah,but I mean in the normal sense,you know like Battleships and Destroyers.
      I would find a use for it on planets that aren't friendly to starships,if they have lots of water of course.
      Say if the Rebels put up an anti-starship gun or whatever in the middle of the ocean,it would be almost impossible for them to destroy it VIA a starship,so they would take out their wet navy ships for that.
      Thats at least how I picture a Sci-Fi universe still using Wet Navy ships.

    • @khalduras784
      @khalduras784 8 лет назад +2

      TheCommunistDragon51 they do but nothing like bigass naval battleships/destroyers but rather they were like speeders/fighters but used for water.There were also walkers used for them but never truly specified as there were many battles that takes place under water other than mon calamari and possibly naboo.

    I feel like the legends universe just keep throwing shit at the wall hoping some would stick. The amount of TIE and walker variants wouldn't be realistic to use for the galactic empire as it would be expensive to tool a bunch of assembly lines for every single different variant and train people for each. Why did the US win WW2 and not Germany? Because they had a few vehicles and weapons that were jack of all trades and CRANKED them out while Germany was wasting money on research, tooling assembly lines, and training crews instead.

    • @gustavusadolphus425
      @gustavusadolphus425 7 лет назад +2

      well the allied victory in ww2 has more to do with the vast disparity in industrial capacity and the fact that they were fighting three of the worlds superpowers.
      As for the diversity of imperial vehicles, its not as bad as it looks. All the TIE's had interchangeable parts so production wouldn't be too difficult If you actually look into it, most military's have a huge array of different vehicles. Don't get me wrong, I think the empire has too much (at least as far as the ground vehicles are concerned) but having lots of different types of vehicles is a pretty common thing specially when you don't have to worry to much about logistics (they tend to apply a "if it is not broken, don't fix it" policy)

    Why would a military want vehicles with legs rather than wheels or tracks? The entire battle of Hoth makes no sense. Why are they using those stupid speeders? Just fly a couple Y-Wings around to their flank and destroy em with bombs. But also why not just destroy the shield generator from orbit in your capital ships?

      Well designed legs are viable on more different terrains than tracks. The snowspeeders were used because Y-wings etc. don't operate well in those temperatures and were in too short supply to modify for use on one planet. Plus anything short of Proton bombs (also in very short supply for the rebellion) wouldn't have been able to penetrate the AT-AT armour plating anyway. Finally, the shield generator was protected from orbital bobmardment by its own shield, along with the rest of Echo Base.

    I made a lego custom at-at model called the at-md (all terrain miniature destroyer) which is just slightly smaller than the the at-at but also more armored, has much more attack power, and is quicker. It is equipped with a very powerful turret cannon on top with a 360 degrees rotation, an automatic quad shooter on the left, and a long-ranged blaster on the right. It also has four cannons on the face. Also, it actually has more space for minifigs than the normal lego at-at
