Thank you for checking this out!! Love Dark Tranquillity so much! ❤ edit: yes this is off their most recent album, they have a new one coming in August.
Fun Fact: experienced fourth album Projector (1999) from debut signed record label Century Media Records (UK) Live Promotion Tour 99 bootleg audio CD with a 99 😂 'Moment' is not a terrible album by any means, but compared to DT's exceptional catalog, this album fails to capture any of the magic they have been known to carry. Their lush synth approach does work well on closing track, In Truth Divided, but too often elsewhere seems to supplant the actual songwriting. There are some very Paradise Lost-esque, albeit, they lack the impact that a doomy approach really needs. There is nothing surprising on this album, but to me this is their best since Character and Fiction. That said, I would have to be a fan of all the different aspects of their style over the last twenty years. The gothy early 2000's stylings of Standstill and The Dark Unbroken, and they kind of switch back and forth between these modes, always referring back to stuff they’ve already done. To be honest, this entire album sounds like it’s 2002-2005 all over again, maybe more so than any of their recent records did. Projector introduced elements of Classical Music and Gothic Metal, resulting in a more flowing sound compared to the previous albums. Construct was the start of the band's increasing experimentation with electronic and dark ambient influences to create a cold, dark, and industrial sound. The new album 'The Last Imagination' (2024) will be a reminder.. they haven't gone away, you know. 🤘🏼 United Kingdom 🇬🇧
Out of all the projects/bands Mikael Stanne is in, DT is by far my favourite.
Great band through and through.
You might want to try some The Halo Effect, they have a different vibe but still worthwhile.
(another Mikael Stanne band)
Listen to Remain In The Unknown, from that same album! It’s so beautiful and the emotions and chills I get from the song structure is all magic ❤🤘
Cheers from Brazil 🇧🇷 im.liked your reactions, watched since the beggining
