My favourite band, period. :)
they have a very special audience. dark tranquillity listeners are overly dependent on them. D.T. is very tough and very emotional, sensitive and full of art.

NO WE....ok yes we are. I confess. I lost count of all the bands I've been into the last 30 years but DT is the only band that I've always been 100% into all the way through. It almost feels like a marriage. I've had affairs yes, but they were always just temporary.
@@snuffcarl Exactly! In this respect, DT will always be different from others. Someone who feels sensitive songs in his heart cannot give up on them.
@@umut_gunay very true. I think it's connected to the fact that the music is emotional and written like real music should be (in my humble opinion - to convey and communicate emotions and create a connection). There's a lot of metal that I like that is impressive, or fun, or aggressive etc etc but that I rarely get an emotional connection to. As we speak, I'm just now listening to their new single which is a really good example of above mention.

I met Mikael Stanne, the singer, he"s a nice and lovely guy, he love his fans and he's an incredible frontman and singer.
And his lyrics are on point!
I have met him a couple of Times and he is always nice ..

Mikael Stanne - vocals (1994-present), rhythm guitar (1989-1994) was never an official vocalist for In Flames, he was a session vocalist only, he took over the vocal duties in DT when Anders left. Anders Fridén - vocals (1989-1994) was original vocalist for DT, and now In Flames (and his side project Passenger)

Dark Tranquility are just great, I love them! :) Old In Flames is awesome but for new stuff, DT all the way!!!
100% forward momentum. Combines all the best elements of DT. U get to hear the whole range of the vocalist + great video recorded in the north of sweden and great lyrics. Second place irridium, same here - combines the best of DT in one song plus super intense chorus.
Atoma is a masterpiece of an album.

D.T. has several songs with female vocals within, and I believe it's this same woman who does all of them. Don't recall her name, but she mixes very well with the band's sound. For another example of her singing along, try "The Mundane and the Magic" from the same concert.
David Molinarolo this is Nell Sigland from Theater of Tragedy. They invite other singers to do the female vocals on the concerts, on the albums they use another swedish woman who sings. :)

I'd honestly forgot that Nell Sigland did guest vocals on this tour. DT is still one of the best bands from the 90's IMO, loved them then and that's not changed.
dt Hardcore fan for almost 20 years. unfortunately some members have changed but the band is still a juggernaut. they have many amazing songs; these are their (other) five marvelous songs among many

DT is for people with an aquired taste of melodeath... another great band for people who actually enjoy this particular style is Draconian. I wouldn't mind a reaction to Draconian - Stellar Tombs... it's actually a great song.
