Thanks for the video. I have a 17 Edge Titanium with heated and cooled front seats, passenger H/C is fine drivers not working. My connector on the module under the pass seat looks fine, not burned like many do. My question, is there any why to verify TED is bad without a scan tool? Resistance readings? I’m an electrician so i can do that but not knowing the correct values makes it hard to verify. I don’t want to just throw a TED in not knowing even though this does seem like the most likely issue in these Fords other than the ground on the control module under the pass seat burning up. Thanks.

If the module connector is not burnt and the power and grounds are fine it's almost guaranteed the TED is bad. There is a pinpoint test chart depending on the code that will test the resistance on all the circuits. If you know someone or can get access to a scanner that has the seat PIDS then diag is a snap. Clear codes, start engine and watch both seat temp sensors to see which doesn't rise then replace that TED. What codes do you have?

@@raincitywrench117thanks for getting back to me. I only have a Bluedriver scan tool, which doesn’t scan the heated or cooled seats so I’m not aware of what codes may be present. I’ll see if any mechanics I know have a scan tool that’ll read the seat codes before I swap out the TED. I’ll update when I find out what is the issue. Thanks

All four thermal electric devices (TED) are controlled by the dual climate controlled seat module (DCSM) which is located under the passenger front seat. Disconnect the 12 pin connector at the module and inspect to see if ground wire pin M *BK-WH* is burnt. If so then you will need a new Pigtail Kit Part Number: WPT-928 and possibly a new module if it's burnt inside. That's where I'd start. If all looks good then check battery junction box fuse F28 30A
