That is a very interesting vid, as usual. It would be interesting to see what the pinpoint test instructs you to do to get you to that step. I would if there is a specific ohm spec for the component itself that would condemn the part? Like let's say glow plugs? I see that your dealership uses ADP/CDK drive as well.

Interesting video. I have owned a 2017 Ford Lariat with this style heated / cooled seat, and another 2017 Ford XLT with a traditional resistance grid heated seat. The XLT seat has noticeably better heat.
I also installed Katzkin leather in the XLT Super Duty by completely removing all the seats and removing the cloth and installing leather. Ford does not use hog rings on this generation; only rails and snaps which is nice.
Finally, the TED does actually supply cooled air to the seat perforations through a peltier effect. Heat can be removed from one pole by applying current to the opposite pole...or by switching polarity heat can be generated. Either way, the fan pushes the heated or cooled air through the ducts to the perforations to the occupants.

Would you suggest doing the seat back or should I go to the Ford Dealer and have a diagnostic done and have the dealer do the repair. Just not sure if there are relays etc. and I would be throwing good money out the window by purchasing the the seat back heater/blower. let me know your thoughts. Thank you in advance!

Looking for your opinion on my situation. Sounds similar to this diagnosis/video but before I go buying parts wanted your $0.02.
I do not have the diagnostic tools/software you have access to. 2018 F350 Lariat with heated and cooled Driver/Pass buckets with buttons on certain console under climate control panel. Truck has about 67K miles on it.
Pass side seems to work fine. Driver side will both heat or cool will activate, I hear the relay "click" and the fan start up, then another "click" happens and fan goes off by itself, button for driver side stays on/lit. Will stay that way until I shut off truck and let it sit a bit. Upon restarting truck it will do the same thing and click/kick off fan again with button still lit, usually within 60-90 seconds at most.
Thoughts? I wondered if it might just be a connection issue as the fan seems to start up then shut off. HOwever, the fan sounds 'weaker' than the passenger side when it does start. Also on one occasion i was behind driver seat and had my son activate it after truck had been off for a while, it did the same thing and heard a click and fan shut off, then I tapped on part of assembly that I could reach from behind/under driver seat and fab "bumped" back on briefly then shut off again in like 10 seconds.....?
Thanks for any guidance/input. I feel like I can tackle this with your video help, but am a bit befuddled on where to start: Control Module? driver side blower/fan assembly? just checking all connections and maybe putting some dielectric grease in all of them?

@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod The reason I’m asking you is because I have already dropped my truck off twice to get it fixed and I still haven’t done it correctly it looks pretty easy the way that you did it

PowerStroke Tech Talk w/ARod Yes. I paid 4K for the extended warranty. I’m going to protest this. The passenger seat failed and its rarely used.

So my 2012 actually blew cold air in the seat back. My 17 I bought used and it doesn't seem to blow very cold air. Does the AC not plumb into the seat back? Whats different in the 12 vs 17?

So I'm assuming the seat heater and AC use the same fan. The seat heaters work pretty good. So that is weird. Might be that the fan is only receiving input from the heat side.
