Wow! I rember playing on the road with Lucky in bout "74" out of St Petersburg he was only eleven and he sounded like Groove Holmes, people would get mad cause they ,didn't think a little kid could play like, that thought it was a trick, the name of the band was "Pure Pressure" l played trombone...sounded great good to hear you after all these years ,Randy...
Such a delicate rendering. I love the bit where Lucky quotes Wayne Bennetts guitar solo from Bobby Blue Blands "Stormy Monday". Wynton and Ali celebrate the moment. Superb. R.I.P Bobby, Wayne and Lucky.
I always loved this song. Back in the 50s, Chuck Willis did such a great interpretation of it. This is a bit more bluesy but sweet just like Chuck's version.
These guys are supreme in the music world. Too bad the video folks have this compulsion to park the camera on the musician who *isn't currently soloing!!!!* Dan Nimmer (piano) is nothing short of a genius. It would have been nice to watch his hands at work but nooooooooo....the video was focused on the guitarists teeth. Brilliant 🙄...
@@edbiernot4852 You know nothing about me. In fact, I do have expertise in the motion picture industry but I don't expect you to respect that based on your rudeness.
I WILL NEVER SUPPORT THIS GUY AGAIN. REASON? WELL WYNTON STATED " BLACK LIVES MATTER BUT OTHER LIFES DONT MATTER". ME AS A BLACK MAN DONT RESPECT THAT KIND OF STATEMENT. ALL LIFES MATTER TO ME.
Love it. The smooth Marsilis Quintet spiced with the deep and gritty blues of Lucky!
RIP Lucky Peterson. A gift for us and for Marsallis.

What a band what a vibration. Magnificent softly softly

Love this💥
Nicest sound I’ve ever heard on clarinet.
Man, never knew Walter could play the clarinet too! Him and Victor Goines can both play soprano and tenor sax as well as the clarinet. Just amazing

Rare recording of audience clapping on 2/4. What a delight :) Germans, listen!!
René, still having issues with the Germans?
I agree with you 100%. Bit the concert is from Frence. Greetings from Germany.
C.C. Rider is not for us Germans - C.C. Rider is for everyone who love women
Som dos Deuses do mundo e principalmente da África.....bom demais.....é só curtir....
สุดยอด ครับ
Não amigo. Da África veio apenas a parte vocal baseada na escala pentatônica. O blues só surgiu nos eua com influência da música bachiana
🥀🌱
Who's the bad cat on clarinet?
Mateo Cardona Walter Blanding
