You maryh9569 have got to be kidding. Some people will take offence at anything and will go rooting around to find it so they can claim to be a victim. Ridiculous.
I'm gonna be seeing him live in a few months and I feel as if I'm seeing the pope or something. One day he's gonna be compared to Louis and Miles and I'll be able to tell my kids I saw him live.
@@jackmitchell882 I`m from India and a huge fan of Wynton Marsalis. I never thought I would have an opportunity to hear him perform live. But, as luck would have it, I was fortunate to watch him perform live in Abudhabi in '17 , just weeks before I was to return back home for good from a work assignment. The sad part, however, was that there was a pre-concert workshop where I could have met him and maybe even taken a picture with him. But I was waiting at the wrong location for quite long and finally got to know that the workshop had already gotten over and he was gone ( to the stage to perform). Never know, maybe there could be another time
That trumpet looks like it came from “Joes” pawn and junk shop. No shine, nothing fancy, just played by a god making the sound of heaven through simple things. I’m also going to copy paste my comment to Oscar Peterson here.........The trail of notes, the sounds, are unpredictable to my ears. That’s part of what excites me listening to this level of talent. How does he / they know where to go next, the perfect inevitable note is always there and is such a perfect joyful surprise for me following him / them down the rabbit hole.
Wynton's trumpet is crafted by a master trumpet maker, dave monette. It is definitely fancy, as well as played by a genius. The mouthpiece has the same story. They were brought to him by dave monette along with a few other mouthpieces for wynton to try. The one he chose is what he is playing here.
Music doing what it does best: Bringing everybody together as one, regardless of how we look. Thanks, in my case God, for such wonderful gift. A younger Batiste, playing now for Stephen Colbert, is here playing with Marsalis, who back in his younger years was playing for Jay Leno onThe Tonight Show. Sorry I meant Johnny Carson.
2019 is about to leave and a New Year is about to be born 2020, Happy New Year Everyone. I sure am enjoy the great jazz music of Winton Marsalis and eric Clapton.
Very nice variations on a theme of Joe Avery. What talented muscians! I especially enjoyed Mark O'Conner and the clarinet part at the end. And Wynton any time.
What a complete and utter joy and privilege it is to to hear and to witness this concert ! These top class excellent musicians sharing their music and their spirit and their fun with each other and with us ! ! Such a treat ! Thank you so much ! 💖

i dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid lost my account password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me.
Do you have any tips ot exercises so that i can improve my drumming? Impromptu jazz is difficult for me because it feels odd to base my rythm on off beats

No wonder, if anyone knew him playing the classicals in one of the cathedrals and made a CD at a very young age, wow, I had of his cds. Only the greatest! Just how many hours of work and dedication going into this!!
Wynton Marsalis the Best ❤ I played it extra loud today so my can hear it as well He loved Jazz and him and I played along with our imaginary Drums & my 🎹 that’s all we could afford in the early 50th in war torn Berlin but you learn to be creative 😀for my Brother 🥲
All of this great jazz music, and the audience is clapping on 1&3.
My ears are bleeding for this but unfortunately it’s quite common here in Europe.
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Doesn’t that make you sick?
It made me gag, ruined the music on their part, but shredding is an understatement
My teacher went to Juliard with Wynton. This kind of greatness took 6-7 hours of practice per day, for anyone wanting this glory and ability.
Thank you Lord for letting this happen in my 85 years!
I still stand by my comment from 1 yr ago that this is a magnificent jazz group of musicians. Jazz is eternal form of American music! ♥️♥️♥️

Indeed!!!
He's a treasure in classical music too
He is indeed a treasure. We need more like him.
WM doesn't seem to like other races very much, but he is an incredible artist.
I can only hit the like button once, but this deserves so much more. Wonderful
You are so right 👍
👍x100
Jon Baptiste at the piano, they never mentioned his name, but he is such a great addition to this quintet!!!💖 great musicians all around!!!❤️❤️❤️
Jon Batiste is a freak on all things 🎹 🥰
Winton Marsalis did mention his name, but he addressed him as Johnathon Baptiste.
@@maxxmabemwe4859 you are so right. I’m sorry. Thank you, I was mistaken! My apologies.♥️
Agreed. Dan Nimmer is no rookie either 😉. Great bunch of players.
Jonathan Batiste ..I come back to this solo, it is so contagious ! Bravissimo
The most versatile of all the jazz trumpeters!
What a trip !
that pianosolo....man...SOLID! 3:31 ...and Wynton saw it was GOOD. 4:10 GOLD.
I feel so privileged to experience Wynton in my generation
I know, it seems like all the greats are, unfortunately, dying off, and I don't mean no disrespect
I'm gonna be seeing him live in a few months and I feel as if I'm seeing the pope or something. One day he's gonna be compared to Louis and Miles and I'll be able to tell my kids I saw him live.

Yup, you will teach yer own self to dance...
How I love all that jazz, Jon Batiste on piano, all of them. Put on and wear those two color shoes and dance out!
Just so much class compared to modern pop music that it cannot even be stated properly in words. The music speaks for itself.
Absolutely brilliant
Don't you go comparing this to pop music, pop doesn't even stand a chance!
I'm so impressed that they could play non stop for 15 minutes. Especially the drum guy.new favorite song.
I am speechless! I am without speech.
My God, that brilliant fugue with the clarinet at the end! Just to prove that they can. Well, they can.
