Loved the interaction between the drummer and tambourine, great stuff, Wynton's small groups never disappoint me, Wynton's trumpet is up with the greats of the past.
...the percussions are straight up NOLA. Love it.
Such exciting jazz,what a drummer!
Wynton looks like he's ready to attack @ 2:20. Dan Nimmer opens up, ride or die. Herlin keeping the pocket loose. Just all around great music!
What a drummer!

Great groove, great tune. I wish Jason would have had his Vibes on this tune. Vibes would have fit very nicely. All awesome talent.
Flawless circular breathing at 5:22
Yes, and at the end too.
...all three 'bull-frogging' together for 50 seconds was nuts, @@judyglasel533.

Soul Gestures in Southern Blue! Three of Wynton's finest.

@@SuperMaDBrothers Wynton released 3 albums in the early 90’s called “Soul Gestures in Southern Blue” Vol 1,2, and 3. This tune, “Jig’s Jig” was recorded on one those albums.

What's the type of spit valve on Wynton's horn called? It seems more efficient and longer lasting compared to the usual cork type. Regardless, sweet tune!
I believe they are called Amado spit valves.
They come stock on certain manufacturer's horns
