I got in a flipping bar fight with my fists and I was charged and convicted of aggravated battery and felony battery. This guy shoots someone and gets a misdemeanor. Here is the bottom line. For her to get hit , he had to be pointing the shotgun at her. Rule #1 of gun safety is you don't point a gun at anything you are not willing to destroy. The gun might have gone off accidentally but that means he had his finger inside the trigger guard. He should be charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon , or attempted murder or attempted manslaughter with a deadly weapon.

I got in a flipping bar fight with my fists and I was charged and convicted of aggravated battery and felony battery. This guy shoots someone and gets a misdemeanor. Permanently ruined my life for defending myself. I was attacked and punched in my face and I reacted like any other normal man would have. I couldn't get a decent job, a place to rent and my gun rights taken away!! I will be paying for my actions for the rest of my life. I quit going out period because of this. I dont want to go back to prison for defending myself. The prosecutor should be disbarred and punished for malicious prosecution.
