Thanks for watching. I can't make any promises about any future videos. I make videos in my spare time when I am not working. But thanks for the suggestion!
Easily their best CD. And a band called Sorrow from the US played awesome death doom too, and although you don't take requests I guess bro! any chance you'd consider checking out Resurrections Embalmed Existence? - had some wicked riffing
I don’t remember Resurrection, but I do remember Sorrow. I just checked Resurrection right now, and it is very cool stuff. As for requests, it’s hard to say. I work full time and just make videos for fun in my spare time. If I didn’t have a day job I would do requests all the time. I have had several people ask for things. Did you ever like dISEMBOWELMENT?
@@Yourguitarchannelsucks fair enough bro! yeah Resurrection was a third tier Florida DM band maybe, Morrisound etc, but probably underrated. dISEMBOWLMENT rule!
Sure, no problem. Although, I’m playing it on an 8 string in standard. I’m pretty sure Cathedral used 6 string guitars in B Standard. At least for that album.
This album and style they should have continued, it was a perfect album, I don't like anything else by them, it was like combining the grindcore of Napalm, with a more contemporary Black Sabbath.
Yeah, I got this album back when it came out and it was always one of my all time favorite doom albums. Over the years Cathedral has attempting to come back to a more doom sound but I think it never competes with this album. His vocals were just so incredibly haunting on this album. His vocals after this album were just never as good.
@@Yourguitarchannelsucks I think they fell into that stoner thing and so songs like Ride became the hit of the day, instead of ambitious compositions on this album, this album is kind of like Hell Awaits, 7 tracks and very forward thinking structures.
@@TheGreatBaronOBeefDip I totally agree. They absolutely jumped into the stoner syle after Forest. When the "Soul Sacrifice EP" and "Ethereal Mirror" were first released I was very disappointed. I was very unhappy they had changed styles so drastically, not to mention the purple bell bottoms and " Oh Yeah Baby " vocals. However, I soon began to really like what they did on those 2 releases as well as "Cosmic Requiem," but that's only because I was high at the time. Carnivale Bizarre was really a horrible album, and everything after that continued to suck. I remember when, "Endtyme" came out and I was hoping for a return to 'Forest' but it just wasn't there. I think the vocals really held it back. The vocals on Forest were just way better than anything Lee ever did after. That was their primarily problem, the vocals were just horrible. At any rate, I fully agree with you Forest of Equilibrium was perfection. I think the album deserves way more attention from the modern doom community.
@@Yourguitarchannelsucks I never understood why they recorded that 2nd version of Soul Sacrifice, it being more uptempo with extra riffs, Lee definitely just jumped the shark for the rest of his career practically, not a guy I would get along with.
@@TheGreatBaronOBeefDip It was certainly a very strange direction to go. I agree with you he certainly jumped the shark. If he had better vocals perhaps it would have worked.😂
Good shit
Hell yeah, Old School Doom was th best ! Thanks for watching.
AWESOME.COULD YOU DO SOME DRONE METAL STUFF?
