Yeah,I love Spellcraft. I think older bands were more unique in general. For example, all black metal bands use to sound completely different from one another until someone decided that to be black metal you were only allowed to sound like Norwegian bands. Take for example “ OLD” Rotting Christ, Samael, order from chaos, masters hammer, impaled Nazarene, beherit and others… all of those bands were completely different and were all considered black metal until about 3 years later when everyone decided you had to sound identical to Mayhem, burzum, darkthrone and Emperor to be considered black metal. These days if someone was unfamiliar with all the really old stuff they would not even classify many of those bands as being black metal just because everything became homogenized afterwards. But at any rate, yeah I love really unique bands and I wish more bands tried harder to sound original.

Honestly, I used to be a lot faster when I was younger. But thank you kindly for the compliment. These days, I usually think I just suck. So I absolutely appreciate the props. I’ve been playing guitar since I was 11 or 12 years old and I’m currently 49. So I guess the answer would be lots of practice.

When learning to play fast, experiment with all kinds of picks and different string tensions. I find I play very differently depending on the string tension and the various picks I use. A friend of mine named Zack wrote this song. Although the song is very minimalist, he is one of the best guitarists I have ever known. He can quite literally play anything. You can find more of his music at bandcamp. Great guy.

I love to support and promote bands that aren’t as popular. There are thousands and thousands of great bands out there that people just never get to hear. I’m glad you’re enjoying some of the stuff I put up. And I appreciate your comment.

Yeah, to be honest, this is probably my favorite carvin so far. It’s a 1989 dc200 that I completely rewired and loaded it with a DiMarzio super distortion and super2 . It sounds like running through a forest of razor blades now. I genuinely love it.

The best thing to do is go to a store and try out as many as you can. I still own the guitar I’m playing in this video. It’s one of my favorites. I recently bought a “Vola Keene machine” and I really like it a lot. If you don’t have a lot of money maybe take a look at a used “Carvin.“ I have several and I think they are a great value when you find a good deal. However, I usually change the electronics out on most of them. What kind of guitar do you want? What kind of music do you want to play on it?

@@cris_horizons Have you tried a “Wizard 1 neck”, the Wizard 1 available on a few different Ibanez guitars and is extremely thin, fast and has a 16” radius which is very flat. Each brand has low level stuff as well as high end. Many brands are also made in the exact same factories and very comparable.

@@cris_horizons I would say you would need to try one first to know. It’s hard to say. I have played both bad and good guitars from all manufacturers. Have you tried an Ernie ball made in USA model? I played a few recently and the necks were amazing. Possibly the best necks I have tried.
