My 99 Silverado has 220,000 on it. Always used ac delco oil filters and valvoline oil. Durablend or the high mileage one in the red bottle now. Changed when it told me. Usually around 4,500 miles. Still runs great with same compression as always.

I use ACdelco filters in not just our GMs, but our non GMs too. I find that they do an excellent job. My Tahoe has a PF1218 which is gigantic. It runs on Conventional 5W30.

Just looked up my specific OEM ACDelco (PF63E) and its efficiency rating is 98% single pass at 25-30 microns, a slight bit better than the 30 micron rating mentioned. Pretty decent for sure. Have been using a Mobil 1, but it's only 99% at 30 microns, so I'm guessing if it were to be rated for 25-30 microns, its resulting efficiency would drop somewhat.

I use them on my Buick Regal seems to work fine. I change my oil between 3k-4K. Haven’t had any issues yet.

I have used the E series filter on my 6.0L Vortec HD truck. I change my oil every 3000 miles. At its last breath, that engine had 364 000 miles and didn't even hiccup until the bitter end.
That is soild proof that these are good filters. You just need to keep your maintenance intervals on time and you won't have any issues.

287,000 miles on my 05 Impala 3.4L using mostly AC Delco classic filters and still runs like new. Hope the new "E" filters are just as good.

I read that the AC Delco also helps prevent oil draining out of the lifters which helps that lifter noise at start up. Don't know how true that is but thats what I read about the bypass valve inside the AC Delco filter.

For a true comparison please show a PF48 vs. PF48E... I always use AC Delco filters in my OBS Tahoe with Dino oil, their good for the price range and intended 4-5K mile change intervals.

Been using the ACD PF47E in my LeSabre for a few months now. She has some worn gaskets leading to some minor coolant contamination but other than that she runs great. Because of the coolant encroachment I do the old school 3k Miles/3 Months interval and typically My Oil Life System says it’s in the 60% range.
I send the oil to Blackstone and they say if it wasn’t for the coolant leak the oil would still be great to use

Can you please do a comparison between the AC Delco PF64 #12640445 vs PF64 #12696048 (if you can find the 445)? The 445 is the "old/better(?)" PF64 and the 048 is the updated E core PF64 filter. The PF64 is for the C7 & C8 Corvettes and also the Camaros among others!

I used these in my 2018 silverado because it was what gm recommended. I changed my oil one day and got curious and cut one of these open. I removed nylon cage from it and could crush it in my hand and snap little pieces of it off. It was almost like it was brittle but was only in service for about 4000 miles. I changed everything of mine that was ecore over to wix. I tow around 7000 pound camper at pretty high RPMs and I just dont see how these could hold up. Im sure they are fine for driving around town but atleast on a truck I would opt for something a little better

The new AC Delco “e-core” (the ones where the filter number ends with the letter “E”) are junk. They sacrificed durability and filtering capability for cheaper manufacturing and easier recycling. Lots of horror stories out there about the filter breaking apart and ruining engines. Both Car & Driver and MotorTrend magazines blew up new Corvette motors due to “oil filter” problems when the e-cores debuted. Then GM switched to the AC Delco Ultraguard Gold spec filters for those ‘Vettes.
