What’s the difference between “made in USA” and “product of USA”?
The AC Delco says product of USA?

    • @WhipCityWrencher

I might be wrong, but I think Made in the USA refers to all of the filter. Product of USA is most of the filter.

I wonder if 'product of the USA' really means 'originally of the USA' or 'came (or invented) in the USA . So, originally it was made in the USA, then sold out to another country, maybe for cheaper labor, or worse the whole product was sold or given to another country. In other words it could mean origin was USA, then some other country, like China (with their 1.5 billion people leaching off our 330 million), took our jobs, and maybe our whole product.

    • @MrRodepp

    Now that is the question?
Or is it how often one changes Oil Filters and Oil?
But I do know one thing for sure! I will never run any Oil Filter & Oil 20,000 miles. No matter what any brand want to put on the outside of its box.
But I'll keep right on watching every Friday. Maybe one day there will be a Oil Filter Play Off! For best Oil Filter of the YEAR! I am not joking or being a jerk. I've only watched 3 of your oil filter video's. I would love to see the Wix XP go up against Fram XG "gold".

@@WhipCityWrencher That's just a nice way to say that you're just plain stubborn, and refuse to do what the rest of the world does -- which is use the Metric System.
A child can see the difference in the way the 2 math sytems are so different, and that the Metric System is superior when making mathematical comparisons.
There's no doubt that you've "tested" more oil filters than anybody else, but the "tests" aren't accurate enough to be significant. "They look the same" doesn't mean ANYTHING, which is why accurate measurements are important.
NONE of the filter manufacturers give the customer an actual "Micron rating" that can be compared head-to-head with the other brands -- because they DON'T WANT THE CUSTOMER TO KNOW the actual differences.
It's great that you cut these filters open so we can see what's inside, but your description of the innards is rather haphazard. ;>)
Your scale measures In grams and millimeters -- you should use them -- and lose your ridiculous obsession with the coil spring, which most manufacturers DO NOT USE -- because it's NO BETTER than the stamped steel spring at holding the filter's guts in place for the life of the filter.
Regarding those Anti-Drainback Valves -- almost all of the modern, high-quality, long-life oil filters have a red/orange (SILICONE) ADBV -- and a few have BLACK valves, which the customer is left to wonder what the ADBV is actually made from.
I suggest that we eliminate the guesswork, and ALL BLACK ADBVs be described as "rubber" -- so customers can TELL AT A GLANCE if it's a Silicone valve.

      @@asrealasitgets765 Oh Okay,
This is just my opinion, but I think if you had two identical filter media one with the screen backing and one without. The one without the screen should have a little better oil flow, but would it really matter? I doubt it.
IMHO, the louvers, and inlet holes, size of the filter will have a bigger impact on oil flow than the plastic screen mesh.
      Thanks for your feedback.👍😊🙌

AC Delco is tried, tested and approved by GM, they are confident putting those in their new vehicles. I have never heard of them failing. However, if you have a GM vehicle and it's still under warranty you better be using ACDelco to avoid losing that warranty. After your warranty is up feel free to use and garbage you want to save a few dollars on. If you want to compare vehicle manufacturers oil filters then compare ACDelco with Mopar and Motorcraft. All the other crap is just aftermarket.

Y’all are overthinking this. Just use a high quality FULL synthetic oil, FRAM filter and good to go 20,000 miles, unless towing or taxi etc…
