To come across this one proved to be innovative (to me, anyway) as I'm not a big "workout"person. At 73 yrs. this 16 minute workout was perfect (to me). My heart rate did indeed go up. Your instructions, personality, setting, always in good taste, I would say, makes you one of my favorite people with whom to exercise. Being in the US, the band length suggested in meters wasn't difficult to convert to feet. If the conversion of 7 feet was correct, I found that this length wasn't at any typical sports or department stores in my city. The one ordered from Amazon was 7 feet which was still too short for doing all of Vanessa's exercises unless the 'medium' strength was just too hard for this 73 year old woman to stretch out. Consequently, I resorted to using the tube type resistance band with handles. This proved to be more conducive to properly doing all the exercises for me. Vanessa's theraband exercises are the best most helpful and I would try to do them even if I had only rubber bands. :-)
Great tips Denise, thank you so much for this. Yes it can be an issue getting the right length of resistance band. I endeavour to get my own brand done which will save people this hassle as I'm getting so many message about this :-) The tubing is also good and continue with that if it helps, for sure :-)
Love the band workouts targeting full body. Prior to workout, we just went on 2 mile outdoor morning walk (plus watering pots). Definitely kept my heart rate up. I used a medium band strength. Thanks Vanessa 😊❤️
I thought I would try this after 6 months of doing other of your videos instead, it still got my heart rate up and I still enjoyed it - I think I can use a stronger band for some of the exercises 💪 (Edited to complete the comment as I pressed send too quickly 🤦)

Loving these shoulder workouts. im new to band workouts and am finding them beneficial as I suffer with lower back pain and these are better than weights!

I use a red Theraband, which is on the lighter side but definitely does the job! I love this sequence in particular and will probably get a heavier band to scale up. I like to do this sequence with your Theraband lowerbody/hip strengthen set, too. Thank you!!

This routine was excellent! I used a 5' flat band but want a longer one. Would you please advise as to what length or brand is best to use for your workouts. Hi there 🙋♀️ great to hear from you! I mostly use theraband or Resista brand bands (available to get in Australia) depends where you are from and if they ship there. The quality is really good. I tend to get long rolls that physios get and cut them as I did that for face to face clients when working in studios a few years back. So I cut say 1.5 metres or even longer. Some of these vids I use 1.7 metres as its then very versatile for all moves 🤗💪on average 1.5 metres is great for all my vids 🙋♀️✔ be sure to comment on each vid as you do them, love to hear from you!
