I’ve been wearing five finger shoes for over 10 years plus I go barefoot a lot. Before this my toes were all bunched together from too small and crowded shoes. Now I have clear space between all my toes and no foot pain. I’m 76 so don’t let age stop you. Spread those toes.

@@Fluidisometricsjust found your channel. Got a few questions on feet.
      1. How do you treat feet that have had multiple attacks of gout over the years?
      2. What kind of shoe is best for foot health.
      3. You can’t go barefoot outside where I live but maybe 6 months out of a year.
      4. I am new to your channel so I haven’t seen many of your videos so which ones do you recommend to get started on feet health that you are teaching. At 67 yrs old am I starting to late?

    Thank you both
I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis about 20 years ago, I'm now a wheelchair user and haven't really felt my feet in years, they are numb, inflexible and prone to cramp, I knew dietary concerns weren't the only issue so I continued to look for alternatives and then your WonderFull video pops up in my feed.
What I can say is even just 24 hours of doing these practices is showing results. I can feel my feet, stretch them and flex them and when I do walk I feel the connection and the flexibility of my feet, I've been a barefoot advocate since birth so really enjoying feeling my feet and a new stability.
Thank you both so much, I've signed up to your Awesome channel ❤️‍🔥

Wonderful, but *What* practices? I watched the whole video, nearly an hour, and although it was very interesting, I was really disappointed that there was never any instruction on what to do or how to do it.
So frustrating. I didn't have an hour to waste today. I still have no idea what I could actually be doing.

As a massage therapist, I deal with a lot of low back pain in my clients. I go to the feet first and as a general rule, people have inverted feet. They don't realize what that does to the hip rotators. So if you're having low back pain, ask your massage therapist to look at your feet, then check your hip rotators.

I’m a 99 year old dedicated walker and have been teaching about how critical spine alignment is. When it comes to feet alignment, it is just as important as it effects our pelvic alignment, critical to the health of many of our organs. “ alignment” ( posture) is the magical word that keeps our body functioning as it was designed to, from our feet to our cervical spine.

When we as kids sprained our ankle somewhere during the day, nothing was done until going to bed. My mother used a method she learned from her mother and put on a big piece of cotton wadding drenched in water. Over that she put a piece of plastic to avoid leaking (as much as possible) and drying out, and over that came a thick kind of bandage held together with a safety pin. She called it a water bandage. It worked miracles. While we were sleeping the bandage got up to body temperature and most of the time the ankle was healed or practically healed the next morning. The skin was all creased cause of the water and the cloth but that went away after half an hour and we were running around again.
I'm always amazed no one seems to know about this. If I tell people they don't even consider doing this. No, they rather go to hospital and get a stiff bandage or worse, a cask.

He was told he would be wheelchair bond the rest of his life he was 35 @ the time.i began working his feet every other day for the 1st 2 months in the 3rd month I went to 3days a week.towards the end of the 3rd month he called me at 2:36a.m. so happy he said he had tears of joy he had to get up in the middle of the night to pee o I got there I would wrap each foot in a heated towel & start off with a 5min meditation to try &get him to a nice relaxing state.then I would begin. At 1st he didn't know what to think becuz of course he was sore from the pressure points & release of blocked up qi. Sore in the shoulders, sore in the lower back but he realized that after that next days soreness he felt better(gooder)😅. So anybody on the fence about the care of your feet & health of your over-all body.go to your local reflexologist & get your feet happy and the rest will follow.😊💜

    • @dreamervanroom
      @dreamervanroom Год назад

@@Stlouisbartending do you want to go in deeply and stretch little movements to the right and left up and down. There’s no need to press so hard and quick that you can’t stand it. It’s best to be in a place where it’s sore but not hurt. You can use a little oil, but not so much that you can’t press in. You can just stay there and gently sink into but it’s best to go all around the area. You’re working on one level of depth and then do it again but deeper. Maybe the next day, even. What you’re doing is you’re stretching the fascia. You’re freeing things that are stuck together.
Too bad we can’t get together in the world. RUclips doesn’t make that happen.
Did I say you can hold it in sinking slowly I could tell you to look at your finger, your working finger, from the inside of your body. That helps you see things from the inside of your body. You can slowly grow that ability. All the best .

You know how you lace your fingers together sometimes in prayer? 🙏 ... your fingers hold on to the opposite hand.
Well... doing this to the toes with your fingers is what they meant.
Yes. It IS painful. And sometimes you can only get the first finger knuckle in. But with a bit of massaging and time (it took me 3 days) you'll be able to thread your fingers completely through. (This is awesome for bunions) it straightens out your toes. And you can bend your feet backwards forwards. Twisting side to side... releasing lots of tension in the feet.
      Your feet will feel heavenly....

I even stop and hot soak my feet when its 100 degrees outside, because spinal issues cause circulatory issues. Stop. Soak. Recenter. Back to work. Incredible. Breathe through the nose.

Are there any Community organizations nearby that have volunteers for walking with you? An auxillary women's group, like Red Hat Society or church? Perhaps a young women's group or school project? Look online for them, or local news or pamphlets in the mail may advertise them. We found a helper for my Mom when she got Alzheimers, so we could go food shopoing & take my Dad to the barber or doctor while she walked and had lunch with Mom.
Ask if they can they spend an hour walking with you 3 times a week? It's great & so good for your health that you will be doing inside exercise. I'm just thinking
it would be so much better if you could get outside, mentally, physically & emotionally... Maybe visit a local park & engage with someone walking by with a pet or sitting on a bench.
I think you can accomplish a lot, even sitting in a chair, rotating & flexing your feet, raising, stretching and lowering your legs, until you can bicycle both legs. Use your walker or maybe a table or wall for support, raise up on your toes, maybe do one at a time until you build strength & balance. Then tip up on your heels & lower several times.
Watch Motivation Doc & other doctors for seated exercises, may even be streamed on your tv! Look up Tai Chi on RUclips or tv as easy exercises for balance, mobility and strength. Lifting water bottles or canned foods helps your upper body as well as circulation.💪🏻
Wishing you all the best in Life! Namaste 🙏🏻 🤲🏻 🕊

I massage the bottom of my feet on an empty stomach every morning before I drink 24 ounces of hot water to stimulate digestion. It loosens the fascia and I also walk around my house barefoot on my tiptoes. I swear by the toes being separated is a game changer. Love this video!

Okay, I am all in!!! I am so grateful for my feet but my feet have also been my nemesis for most of my life. I was in ballet, gymnastics and then bartended for 20+ years. I've had bunions on both feet and painful for the past 25+ years.
My ankle kept giving way on me and had many sprains, which led me to having ankle ligament repair surgery, where the surgeon also performed an osteotomy on the same foot at the same time. Not good. Surgeon left the country for 5 weeks and was given poor aftercare. Needless to say, after 4 different casts and foot orthotics, my foot still wasn't healing correctly. I had PT for 7 months and went to a Brain & Body facility for 8 months after that ended. I am going to find your videos and exercises and follow you everywhere! Thank you for all of this pertinent information that makes so much sense to me. I continue to address my all over fascia in numerous ways and have since shortly after my surgery. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I entered this world after breaking my pinky toe 5 months ago. After pampering it by sitting too much I developed hip flexor issues and then suddenly double plantar fasciitis with severe neuropathy! Very scary. Finally after 3 months of stretching hips daily and using a splint, inserts, ice, and castor oil, the neuropathy is gone but the arches and heels are still angry and this video is so welcome.

Hi there! In case you need, here is a quick lessen on what to do to your toes!
Using your fingers, or the handle of a wooden spoon, place fingers or wooden handle between your toes and apply pressure into the webbing. Put enough pressure so you start to feel the pain, but not so much that you can't breathe
comfortably. Hold for 3 minutes. Do this between all toes.
If you want, come see what people are saying about this in our facebook group:

Interesting about the feet as I had a car accident about 4-5 years ago and while in Tahiti a healer I met had me lay down on my stomach and asked the interpreter if I had had a bad accident!
He looked at my top left foot and commented my veins were facing to the right- he said my heart was being blocked- I’d started doing heart exercises/ massages because I couldn’t breathe!
After he worked on my foot I could BREATHE!
He also asked if I had a baby- yes - I had 30 years ago!
My babies stem cells were also blocked from assisting me stay well 😳😳😳!
The baby stem cells have an effect and some stay in the mother after birth. Because the birth was traumatic my body had held the shock from that AND my accident!
I’m going to do that pressure between the toes to ensure that my energy blocks if any are cleared- thank you!🙏💖

This is so FABULOUS!!! I've done the breathing, and while listening, I did between my toes. IT HURT but I breathed and persevered!
Now, I've had a serious right knee/hip/femur grating in hip joint, leg felt 'off', crooked, for the last few years.
I definitely am now standing and moving with .... so much more ease.
I'm barefoot always unless I go out, then it's with flat soft footwear. Even when I walk home from town with some shopping, I often take my shoes off and walk barefoot on the beautiful soft green grass. So lovely.
Now I need to find out about around the eyes.

An old-fashioned remedy for ear infections in babies or small children, was to put 100% cotton socks, wet with cool water, (but not dripping wet ), on their feet… then quickly put dry 100% wool socks over the cotton ones, and put them to bed…
    This is how it works.
The cold, wet, cotton socks stimulate circulation to flood from from the head down into the feet, and the wool socks, keep the feet warm all night, and so with all of the circulation going down into the feet, the head and neck drain and the ear infection heals…
I know it sounds far-fetched, but I raised five kids doing this for them, and it worked every single time I did it! And quickly! so for the people out there who like doing things more naturally, I highly recommend trying this. And I’ve never tried it on adults, but I don’t see why it would’nt work just as well.

I love the integration of daily foot massage. I've added getting energy moving through tapping or slapping the meridians. You are spot on about the thought of years of information or lack there of creating reluctantancy on what's truly should come naturally. It's like people are afraid to touch their weakness to create flow. "No, no, no don't touch it, it hurts!" Thanks again! Peace & Lo💖e!

I purchased my first pair of 5 Fingers 12 years ago...that was my start to wearing minimals and I have never looked back. I am 77 now and have great feet. Never went back to the standard running shoe...can't stand the thought of them. My latest barefoot / minimals are Hikes and I love them. Love all the info you are sharing

I pulled my right hip out of its socket years ago. My dr did not listen to me and refused to refer me to a chiropractor. This too years to mend. After several years, I visited one. He told me if I sat down, I would have been in a wheelchair. I have had a lot of pin with almost dead weight moving from hip to hip. This also gave bad knee pains, and I was unable to walk or stand for long. Lately, I realized that I was walking forward and not upright. I addressed this, and my knee pain has almost disappear. I of small stature as was used to walking upright yo thr point where I was told I appeared taller from a distant. Thank you both for this video. I intend to watch again to fully overstand hour contributions.

Great information! Love it. I did the toe release as you talked and made a huge difference to the increased movement in my feet and rebalanced my left and right side. Look forward to learning more. Now I am going to try finger releases.

“Death Starts In The Feet.” I immediately had the thought: “Defeated by my feet!” 😂😂😂 But seriously, I absolutely loved this presentation, and am now a new subscriber. It makes so much sense to me. I have had poor circulation in my feet and lower legs my entire life, even though I was very athletic when I was younger. I am going to try these techniques and watch more of your presentations. Thank you 🙏 ❤

I went to work on my toes and started to work on them ! It was painful but I felt I was able to walk a little better. Been doing fascia work on my neck etc but did not really work on my toes! Thank you!

Wonderful! There is finger work too that can be done.
      Toe Lesson
Place your fingers between your toes while applying pressure into the webbing. If you can't reach your toes use the handle of a wooden spoon, or thin wooden dowel. Put enough pressure so you start to feel the pain, but not so much that you can't breathe comfortably. Hold for 3 minutes. Do this between all toes, and do the work daily.
      Hands Lesson
For your hands, place the webbing of the same finger pairing together and press until you find some pain.
Hold for 3 minutes. Do this between each finger, including between your thumb and first finger.
