I enjoyed hearing Walter's experience. The foot work really resonates with me. I've been practicing with the block on and off for a couple of years. Lately I find I don't want to lay down on the floor to do the work. Once morning a couple of weeks ago, I decided to use it on my feet in the mornings while standing and watching videos. Within one week, I could see that my face looked different (and better). I remember Deanna talking about the body's foundation and how what you work on "affects everything up the chain." This has really encouraged me to continue and to not be afraid of getting creative with it.

This popped up on my RUclips channel today. I’ve been following block therapy here and there for at least a year or so. I got interested because you were talking about fascia, which is what I work with as a massage therapist, reflexologist, holistic health coach, fitness trainer and more, the learning continues. It was great to hear Walter’s story about his finding the connection between the feet and the rest of the body. I have been working with the feet since I began my massage practice, and for the past 12 years have really focused on the feet since finding five finger Vibram’s after reading about them in the book, Born To Run. I personally have been experiencing a real significant connection between the toes and the entire rest of the body and the matrix of fascia that connects it all right down to the tip of the toes and the tip of the fingers. I've used PVC pipe, yoga blocks, Wool dryer balls, stair steps, yoga toes and more to continue releasing deeper layers of tissue. There are layers of stuff!!! Thank you Deanna for doing what you do. Looking forward to learning more. The footing is one of the most important pieces of a foundation.

I started this approach on Monday, doing my belly (and diaphragmatic breathing), feet and hands (including between the toes and fingers). I added the ribs after noticing pains signals while working on my belly. I noticed my posture is remarkably better (I'm 57 with scoliosis) and I am aware my feet are properly aligned. Fruit: my posture is improved without effort. My movement is freer. I hopped out of bed this morning sure-footed as opposed to shuffling fearful of losing balance. One thing I did add was, after blocking, castor oil to the treated area. It's great for moving stagnated lymph (my understanding). Thank you for bringing this into the world. ❤
@@Slipcoverchic I was in an orthoplast jacket from 1979 through 1983 (when they really weaned me out of it) the only thing it did was teach me to breathe from my upper chest. Which over time made my spine and abdominal area worse. I'm so glad I found this group and what they are teaching
Wow, that was a great story. It is great for someone currently living with chronic pain to work with the blocks and find release. Thank you for the interview. I would have loved to see how he worked his feet when watching TV for an hour.
Have started this on my feet after having great results with my abdomen and I'm pretty astounded at the positive effect of it after only 2 or 3 sessions

I just stumbled on this and it would be really helpful to explain what they’re referring to blocking is … and the other stuff is … it’s a thing you can purchase and basically how it works?
Thank you for your interest and for reaching out! You can learn more on blocktherapy.com, and if you are interested in getting started in the same way Walter did, the Starter Package link is below: blocktherapy.com/starer-package-store/ I hope this is helpful!
Don't forget the toe work! Place your fingers between your toes while applying pressure into the webbing. If you can't reach your toes use the handle of a wooden spoon, or thin wooden dowel. Put enough pressure so you start to feel the pain, but not so much that you can't breathe comfortably. Hold for 3 minutes. Do this between all toes, and do the work daily.
I just saw a podcast prior to this. The demonstration showed a block, maybe a yoga block. Basically you stand on the block for 3 minutes. Also interlacing your fingers into your toes and hold for 3 minutes. Since our feet are strangled in our shoes these two types of FC stretches should open the circulation and immediately feel much better. Do that everyday
I am brand new here. Trying to understand about foot work, what is it, how to do it. Can you please, post links to where this gentleman learned to do foot work?

Hi there: Im amazed at watching one of your videos and I tried putting pressure between my toes on each foot for 30 seconds each. Two hours later I can walk on my feet. I had severe pain in my feet, they felt like paddles. My feet have "severe" osteoarthritis on the top of my feet with big bumps from my bones deformed. My toes are deformed from severe bunions that have deformed my toes. I used to do jumping jacks several years ago, and that helped my feet. But today after two hours I can walk on my feet. I have bad posture. I have a slight sciatic pain and back pain and must go to the chiropractor every so often. And Ive gained 40 lbs! I want to be healthy again. What is this? Will your book describe everything? I saw pictures of people on blocks on the side of their hips. Is that part of your book? Im 65 and I dont want to deteriorate! Thank you to Walter for his testimony! And thank you to you for exposing this "almost miracle therapy"....so simple but oh so effective!
A body worker once said he always starts with the feet , because that is the bodies foundation.. Also the toes and fingers ends are a points where energy related to tension and blocked emotions exit the body. There is a body worker called brandon raynor in Australia who uses chopsticks to open up these points, they are painful, but its like an energetic choke point where energy is jammed up, its pseudo science, but it looks like its been around in other cultures for a long time and seems to work for brandon and his clients. This very interesting to me as i am starting to stiffen up at 60.. Just thinking all these data points can be combined for even more results. This block therapy is just what i been looking for, we must be able to heal without spending tonnes on thrapists. Many thanks for this super informative video. I definitely following this up this week on the website.

HI Deanna, I'm really curious about block therapy and wondered if it can help with chronic sinusitis? I don't generally have any pain in my body but for the past year I have had a sinus condition I just can't seem to overcome.
HI there! Block Therapy can help with that. If you want you can check out our facebook page and see what people are saying about all sorts of issues. Here is the link: facebook.com/groups/1888044614779525/
Hi there! If you use a wooden dowel, or something similar, you can do one on each foot. That would mean 12 minutes and you're done! You don't really want to do more than one per foot as you won't get the same pressure on each.
Hi! Certainly, I can help describe how to use the Block for your feet. I can't describe every position, but here is one that will be useful. You can place the Block on its side the floor, preferably on a carpet or mat for stability. While holding on a wall or chair for balance, stand with your arch of the foot on the Block, and slowly rock your weight around to search for pain. This position is also taught in your Starter Program, which you should have access to if you have the Block Buddy! Another exercise that is great for bunions is to use a finger or a pencil between your toes to release adhesions there, and also placing pressure on the bunion itself as you draw the big toe out. I hope these descriptions are helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi, thank you for asking and so sorry there was not enough detail in this particular discussion to help you get started! For Walter, he did a combination of the full practice of Block Therapy (which you can learn more about by visiting blocktherapy.com), and working between the toes with a simple pencil. This is amazing to hear!
Why on earth do these folks not tell what block therapy is. Incredible! They think the whole world knows what their interest is. Amazing!

It was nice to see his brother chimed in with a testimonial about his father.
This is amazing to hear! Great progress! :)
@@Fluidisometrics I will be in touch in the coming year regarding membership and the scoliosis program. Finally I have hope for improvement 💖
@@reginamecco2915I struggle with scoliosis pain myself. Was braced in the 70’s for 5 years.
@@Slipcoverchic I was in an orthoplast jacket from 1979 through 1983 (when they really weaned me out of it) the only thing it did was teach me to breathe from my upper chest. Which over time made my spine and abdominal area worse. I'm so glad I found this group and what they are teaching
Just wanted to say hey I’m a man and I loved this. My second video of yours. Fascia is something I’m learning about.
Hi! Glad to hear it! :)
SO inspiring...I'm on my 3rd year with blocking daily and I am still learning...thank you Walter for sharing your journey!
Wow, that was a great story. It is great for someone currently living with chronic pain to work with the blocks and find release. Thank you for the interview.
I would have loved to see how he worked his feet when watching TV for an hour.
Thanks for listening!

Have started this on my feet after having great results with my abdomen and I'm pretty astounded at the positive effect of it after only 2 or 3 sessions
What and how do you do this to your feet?

Wow this is amazing. I’m going to stand on my blocks.
Also breath which is very important. Working on the feet is so helpful with every ache in the body. It will balance your skeletal structure too
What an inspirational story!!!
Congratulations 🎉Walter, that is amazing, and thank you for sharing.
I am re watching this, really fascinating.
Thank you so much!

Not at all, thank you for asking! The Block is our handcrafted tool for fascia decompression, made from wood which is the same density as bone. What exactly did you do to the hands the feet ? And how were you standing on the block ? Where did you place the block on your dads back ?????
Did I miss his before and after pictures??
I'm in!
Is there a video showing the block work for feet ? And is feet work a large protocol of block therapy

Can you do one or two fingers or toes at the same time? That would make it less time consuming
Hi there! If you use a wooden dowel, or something similar, you can do one on each foot. That would mean 12 minutes and you're done! You don't really want to do more than one per foot as you won't get the same pressure on each.
0:14 ?? What does this mean?
I wish I can see what block he is talking about?
Where's the before and after pictures?
I have the block and lots of feet issues such as severe bunions. Would be helpful to know the best way to stand on the block.
Do you have recommendations for 5th toes that are completely rotated to the sides? Also extremely painful build up under left big toe

Yeah, it’s a lot of bla, bla, bla and we have no idea what they are taking about. Not helpful and not interesting.
Hi, thank you for asking and so sorry there was not enough detail in this particular discussion to help you get started! For Walter, he did a combination of the full practice of Block Therapy (which you can learn more about by visiting blocktherapy.com), and working between the toes with a simple pencil. Simple pressure over time can slowly melt the adhesions in the fascia, much like a massage!
To do the same as he did, you will need the Starter Package and Block(s) - link is here:

Once you are finished with the Starter Program that comes with your Blocks, the program of Block Therapy classes that he followed is the 30 Day Upper Body Challenge in the Membership portion of the site, accessible with a subscription:
