  • The "Gunsmoke" competition is designed to show the skills of USAF air and ground crews in an air-to-ground mission. This is a test of how fast, safe and accurately air and ground crews can load and turn around an aircraft so it can resume air operations. There were 16 teams involved in the competition that took place at Nellis AFB, Nevada between September 29, 1989 and October 16, 1989. Representing the 704th TFS/ 924th TFG AFRES from Bergstrom AFB, Texas was F-4E 74-1040. In 2006 74-1040 was destroyed in a missile test.
Seen here is that very aircraft in 1:72nd scale diecast by Hobby Master. It's a very nice model with a great paint scheme with a ton of great detail.
Thank you as usual for checking out our video, we appreciate it immensely. I hope you found it helpful in some way and if so please throw us a like or even subscribe if you wish to be kept up to date with our latest releases ‪@heavymetaldiecast‬
Use of any images or video in any of my reviews is used out of pure respect in regard to units and/or actual people. I wish to acknowledge all those that have served past and present with their respective nations armed forces with some making the ultimate sacrifice. Political ideals aside, it takes great courage and selflessness to answer your countries call.
Thanks again and have a great rest of your day.
    Cheers

I think the camo suits the plane really well, it does really modernise it for sure 👍

Sorry mate for a delayed reply, these seemed to have been missed and I do like to respond to everyone's comments. Better late than never, haha. But for sure the Hobby Master Phantoms will start you down a path leading to financial ruin, haha

Okay so I have the choice of purchasing this model or the FB111A Nato Tiger Meet (in which you've also done a review on). I currently already own a Phantom, nut not an F111, which one would you suggest? They're both on sale for a great price and only have the budget for one unfortunately:(

If it was me I would grab the F-111 purely because you don't have one in your collection yet, and everyone needs an F-111 in their life, haha. But they are both great models and I would be asking a mate for a loan so I could buy both, haha. Both models are built nicely you won't regret either purchase. Asking this is like asking which of your children your like better 🤣

How many Phantoms do you have?

I certainly don't have all 160,haha...probably around 25 to 30 more HM Phantoms to do after this, plus I have some Corgi Phantoms....And hopefully I can find at least 1 air command one that isn't going to cost me $400,haha
