Heavy Metal Diecast Videos
Австралия
Добавлен 12 май 2022
Hi there. I collect diecast aircraft, tanks, cars & some figures of various scales and also love my music heavy. So, the Heavy Metal Diecast channel was born. I hope to create some videos of predominately diecast metal (& some plastic/resin also) item's that I have bought. In these videos I will give my own opinion on them, I'm not a professional and all my opinions will be purely personal. I won't be picking too much on accuracy issues or have in-depth historic info on each model, there are tons of other cool videos made by other RUclipsrs with more credible knowledge than myself. But my view just as a bloke that collects models and if I like it or not. If that helps you in whether making the same purchase of the model, then that makes me happy to help in some way. If you have enjoyed any of my videos why not throw us a like or even subscribe. Thanks for coming 😀Cheers from Australia and a big thank you to my viewers from around the world, I appreciate you spending your time here!

That colour scheme 🙊
O F-5 tem um aspecto moderno, um designe a frente do seu tempo. Eu sou muito fã. Excelente modelo🌟
Muito legal! Muito bonito👏
Hello there buddy. Another great video as always. Just wanted to ask your opinion on something. My local stockist of diecast model aircraft are unable to source an F14 from Hobby Master but in October shall be stocking JC Wings F14's. I have heard that they are another as well constructed as Hobby Master. If you could help me decide that would be great. I hope all is well with you my friend. As always great content and very enjoyable. Have a great weekend 😊😊😊😊😊
As a child, these planes often flew overhead. In the USSR, they were the main training aircraft. I remember that sound perfectly. Nostalgia.
Oh thats awesome, thank you for sharing that!! Thanks for checking out the video 😁
What a great color scheme!
Yes it really is a nice looking F-5, the livery really suits it!!
I.m from Malaysia and i proud with Malaysian Air Force, this F5 has been decommission and replace with F/A18D hornet, and i do own 1 hobby master hornet, I'm also excited they going to release our Sukhoi SU-30 MKM that suppose to release later this year
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Glad to have a Malaysian viewer!! This model is really nice. I will hopefully get my hands on some more TUDM aircraft to review. The Su-30 will no doubt look amazing!!! Hope I can get one of those!! Thanks again for watching!!
Nice review, I just love those witty wings. I have plenty of them, and I just can’t have enough. They’re among my favorites, and they do have their own taste for avid collectors.
wowowow power F-5
Yep a pretty cool F-5. Thanks for watching!!
good video beautiful su-27
First person to watch😁!
haha thanks for watching!!! You were certainly quick, I only just uploaded the video!!! Appreciate you dropping past, hope you enjoyed the video!!
Hey man, I picked up the exact same f14 today, but the canopy on the cockpit won’t stay closed. Any similar issues with yours that you managed to rectify ? Great video !
Thats a little weird, I don't recall having any issue with any of my canopies for my Hobby Master F-14's. I do have a couple more to open so will keep that in mind when I review those!! Thanks for checking out one of my older reviews. Appreciate it. Cheers
Fabulous model , dragon do some great work on their models, very realistic for the scale,
Yeah its crazy how good they are for such small models!! I had been hesitant about 1:72 armour as I mainly collected it in 1:43 as they were nice and big, but these Dragon Armor 1:72 scale models have some really super detail. Thaks as always for dropping past!!
Nice one, never noticed this model/aircraft before so just purchased one due to your review. Not sure whether to thank you or swear as am broke at the moment 😁
@@andyb1201 haha well at least the video helped in some way 🤣 You can do both, I have realised since starting the channel and collecting diecast the bank account does suffer a lot, but when that postman arrives with your packages you know the week you spent eating $1 meals was worth it 🤣. I haven't bought a steak since starting the channel 🤣 but I do have a lot of F-4s now 🤣. Thanks for watching and sorry for helping you spend your cash 🤣 Did you get this exact one? Or one of their other liveries?
@@heavymetaldiecast sadly here in Spain there are no $1 dollar meals or euros in our case 😁 It is a substitute for Christmas though getting a package through the post if the courier company dares to navigate the narrow streets as some lie and say you weren't home and never even come as far as the village lol. Same livery, at least I hope it will be. Luckily found a seller in France so no import duty, just worried as seems very cheap and but seller had multiple numbers of same model plus others so fingers crossed. Steak, what's that? Not been able to afford one of those in years 🤣
@@andyb1201 haha yeah I feel your pain, our $1 meal is a packet of 2 minute noodles, haha Hopefully your model arrives safe and sound. Its always good to score a bargain!! You need a win every now and then!! Yeah red meat here is expensive, same as lamb, I mainly by chicken, haha. red meat used to be affordable, I watch all these American BBQ shows and think how the hell do they afford that, haha Well at least I have plenty of diecast to chew on!!
Is this 1/100
No it is 1:72 Diecast. Thanks for looking
This one looks awesome great review !
Yeah its pretty cool, I really need to get a 106 to complete my century series!! Thanks for watching!!!
I love it . They are so interesting. Great in ww2 movies .
yeah I really liked this model, there was a "Rommel" one available when I bought this one but was at such a high price, just because it was in his aircrafts markings. Yeah have seen these in a few movies!!! Thanks for watching!!
Tanks in 1/ 72 are just to small .
Yes they can be a little small, wait until you see how small a sdkfz 222 is,haha. Its why I originally started collecting armour/vehicles in 1:43 scale, but fell down the 1:72 rabbit hole when just buying a couple to sit with my aircraft....and now oh well, haha. Thanks for watching!!
Some care and imagination gone into this model- detail and features are good and better than other aircraft from other makers. Your variety of reviews is refreshing and cheers for that.
I like to try and review all sorts of military aircraft, not just the popular stuff. You know what they say, variety is the spice of life, haha. Plus I get to learn about planes I have never heard of,haha. And hopefully make others aware of models that are available if they want to buy one themselves!! Thanks as always for dropping past!!
@@heavymetaldiecast That is one of the great values of your channel. I always love the learning about the aircraft and the crews- you often find out things that are new to you.
Now that - is superb!!!!
Yep definitely a classy model!!!
The 56th Fighter Group were known to have larger than normal size national markings on their P47s, and also a marking underneath both wings and not just the starboard one so this too could be something of the same group or pilot preference. The absence of D Day markings above the wing and below and just underneath the fuselage could date this scheme as after August 1944. Anyhoo missed this one along the way.
Ah ok well that explains it. To be honest I am not as well versed in the allied side of things as I am with Luftwaffe, even though I have more allied aircraft videos, haha what the hell am I doing!!! Corgi even got the box description wrong, on the box cover its says 363rd Fighter Group instead of Squadron!! 😂. There's is always eBay to find one mate, that's how I get half my models, haha. Thanks for dropping past!!!
@@heavymetaldiecast Dragon did this one back in the day. Rare as hen's teeth now!
Grazuolis Tigras II... I just saw one in the ad, and only for 20eur. Now I'm thinking if I need it
They are a nice build. I have been very happy with the Dragon Armor models I have opened so far!! Thanks for watching!!
Great video review as always
Thanks for dropping past!! 🙂
Nice model , don't Panzerkampf also produce a diecast Delfin series ?
I'm not sure, I know Herpa do a few different versions. Its also sold under Modelyletadel.cz but they are exactly the same models just different boxes/names I think. Thanks for watching the video!!
🐯
Got to love a big cat!!! Thanks for watching!!
@@heavymetaldiecast I couldn’t think of anything interesting to say this time but wanted to leave you a comment for the algorithm 🤣 Keep up the great work bro 👏
Herpa does a decent job, I have a couple Herpas & I like em. I love me some trainers too, gotta respect them, that's where it all starts. Hoping we get the new Boeing T-7 from HM preferably
Herpa aren't too bad, but I think they borrow molds from other makers a lot. As I notice some of their models I have are exactly the same as say a Witty Wings/ JC Wings release just different livery obviously. Definitely trainers play an important role, you got to learn to crawl before you can fly 😂. Thanks for watching!!!
Nice collectable of a legendary pilot and his plane
Yes its pretty tidy, I'm still a little curious about the shine on the cowl. Normally its a satin to avoid the glare. Thanks for watching!!
I'm not the biggest fan of Corgi models, but that one was pretty nice. Thanks for another good one. 🤠👍
Yes Corgi I have been noticing can do really good models, and then really bad ones. They are loosing a little consistency for some reason. Although I am buying models made at various times from them. Some models I buy can be upto 20 years old and some brand new. Thanks for watching!!
F22: finally im out of this store after what happend i dont know what happend
This plane looks similar to some american's trainning planes. I think the main difference are the position of the elevators. I didn't know about this model, thanks for sharing it.
In the L-39 which was the successor to these, they had a more normal tail. Its why I try to do all sorts of reviews to show some of the more unusual and not so popular models out there. Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for watching!!
Aeronave bonita interessante! Gostei dos detalhes! Modelo incrível🌟
Yes its a nice model, and as I say in the video it wont be everyone's type of plane, but that's what the videos are for. Showing things to people that they wont normally buy. Thanks for watching!!
Belo Mustang👏
Yes another beautiful Mustang!!! Thank you for dropping past!!
Um dos melhores é mais bonito tanque alemão! Modelo incrível🌟
For sure. These were great looking machine's!! Thanks for watching!!
great I didn't know about it beautiful model
Ah great, the video has done its job. Its why I like to review all sorts of military aircraft, not just the popular ones. Thanks for watching!!
beautiful legendary plane
Yes the mustang is a sleek bird for sure!!
beautiful Tiger 2 I have it but from angostini
The DeAgostini ones aren't bad either, we did a review on theirs first.
Chuck’s biography is interesting and good but damn he sounded a bit arrogant in my opinion , basic overview of his bio…."I was damn good and I knew it” the end. It’s still a good read but he seemed a bit much for me
Haha I could imagine he would have a touch of arrogance every now and then. If he was in Top Gun the movie he would play Maverick. But I reckon he would have been pretty humble too. I watched the interview where I got my little snippet for the intro and he seemed fairly down to earth when talking. The problem with books also is you dont know what the editors change too. They might say "Hey spice this part up abit" but I haven't read his book. Sound interesting though. Thanks for dropping past!!!
I always preferred the look of the Porsche turret
Yes these turrets do look nice, but the curved mantlet bottom could also deflect rounds down to the thinner top armor of the chassis. Same issue with early Panthers. They only used the turrets from the Porsche chassis because Krupp made 50 of them then Porsches design was cancelled in favour of the Henschel's chassis. Instead of scrapping the turrets they threw them on the first 50 Tiger II's that were made. Thanks for watching!!
@@heavymetaldiecast Yep I’m aware of the shot trap on the Porche turret
I just bought one today. It looks gorgeous, but I’m having trouble with fitting the spear onto the hand. I’m worried I’ll damage it.
Fixed it! You just need to force it a tiny bit into the hand.
@@raphses6871 Glad you gotbthe weapon in hand. Sometimes these can be a little stiff in opening the hands to grip weapons. As you figured out you just need to use a little force to work it in. Thanks for checking out the video and commenting 😀👍

@@heavymetaldiecast Hahahaha....Funny, but kind of true! I just ordered my first F-14. Another Hobby Master. My problem is that in addition to a love for these military planes and models, and 1/200 airliners, is that I have been an HO scale model train collector for 40+ years now and I also have a thing for some 1/64 and 1/50 diecast trucks and heavy equipment models too. I need to win the lottery. 😜🤙
How is the spacing on the wings. It seems its not too flush when you have wings extended and theres a small gap at seem
@@swimbo I didn't find the fitment too bad. I may not have pushed hard enough maybe. But for me there wasn't too noticeable gap. You could also affix it with some non permanent adhesive to get a tighter fit a guess. Thanks for watching the video 😀👍
Youve got to make sure your insurance company knows of this collection. If the house burns down you wont get shit unless they know about the 100k stash. It has to have its own coverage or you get nothing. Not 50% you get NOTHING. Last year bloke lost 13000 models in Vic got paid 30k for them. Bought them back for 10k and is still selling them on ebay as water damaged stock and hes not going so well. Hes lost over 100k plus 5k for lawyer who did nothing for him.
@@1mmickk 13000 models wow, that is a massive collection 😯 yes I get where your coming from. I had that with my WW2 memorabilia, but now the government says you can't make money of most German memorabilia thats hard to insure too. I had that also with some classic cars I had at my house. We had a bad hail storm and they got damaged. I had insurance and auto memorabilia insurance but that didn't cover damage to the unregistered cars only parts 🤣. If the cars were in pieces they were covered 🤣 insurance companies always find an out 🤣 I feel sorry for that guy though. That's a big hit. Can only hope I guess. My models are in a garage setting now so if my house catches fire the garage is separate 🤣
A nice model that I miss in my collection...
Another one to add to the hunting list, haha
So many features on this one - great diversity for displaying and a beast of an aircraft. Step 1 of Diecast Unboxing - make sure you know where all the aerials and fittings are - that way you get to keep em. More steps to follow as I have learned the hard way. Oh yes I have learned!!!!lol!
I have learned the same lessons, haha some planes are like porcupine's!! And with my bloody sausage fingers it can be a real feat to handle a model and not break anything off, haha. It is a lesser liked aircraft of WW2, but I do like to show some more obscure aircraft that some people may not even know about!!Thanks as always for watching!!!
@@heavymetaldiecast Stukas are tricky to handle surprisingly. The Helldiver is a must for any USN WW2 collection.
