Having suffered a stroke in June this year,I can genuinely say that it completely resets your life...I've been fortunate,I'd not ever say lucky,I'm still here, still mostly "with it" and mostly able....it's taken my career with it and I'll never be me again as I once was...but many don't live to tell a tale, and many survive but can't tell...It's like taking a hit from a wrecking ball....how much you earn a week means nothing and your worth won't save you....
Where the hell have I been ?? I didnt know Tim was in this state of frame 😢 He will always be a icon to his millions of fans around the globe including me !! Live out the rest of your life as you see fit Tim !!
. Even though his final days are in a wheel chair / He has never given up He is respected by all especially in Australia we love you Tim Curry. Always In Our Hearts XXX
In his prime he was a fine actor. I liked his role as the concierge in Home alone 2. He didn’t have a great deal of screen time, but it was still very memorable.
I'm so sad to hear this. He truly is one of the greatest most versatile actors of the age. I love him in everything from Rocky Horror to Clue to Fern Gully to The Wild Thornberries to It to the Muppets to so many various characters on Scooby Doo. It hurts my heart to hear that he's not doing well. 😢
And 11 out of 13 entries in “A Series of Unfortunate Events”. His audiobook performance will always come first when I think “Count Olaf”., Harper Audio couldn’t have picked a finer talent.
Wow...great seeing this special film about Tim Curry. I first saw him in West Hollywood and I think in a theatre on the Sunset Strip when he did one of his famous roles in a musical there. Then just a few years ago I was at the Rockwell (which is now closed) but he was able to be wheeled up on stage there with his female friend/singer that he did that show with, and the 2 of them sang a song together. It was moving. When he was done, he was wheeled off stage, down a ramp and then I saw that he went outside. I walked out there to find him smoking, and I embarrassingly, sort of bowed down to him to tell him I was a huge fan and that show I saw him in so many years ago. He was very nice and thanked me very much for coming out to tell him that.
Have you forgotten? One of Curry's greatest roles: the 6-part 1978 British TV series "Will Shakespeare," written by John Mortimer. Sublime performance.
I'll always Love Tim as Dr. Frankenfurter, Long John Silver in Muppet Treasure Island, the Conisseur in Home Alone 2 & in his series, "Over the Top" with Annie Potts & Liz Torres. I also Love his singing voice in his Cd "Simplicity ". I'm also impressed that he also does interviews with people. He's a great actor & anyone who's been in his life, career or personally is very lucky. I wish I was one of them. It's so sad what happened to such a beautiful person.
Ppl who don't know about Tim should just go back and watch. Home Alone, RHPC, Clue, Muppets movie...I was so lucky to be one of those kids that loved what he did for us. My generation was lucky.
This is very sad. Me and my friend were talking about the Rocky horror picture show today Sunday 18 feb 2024 what a legend best musical of all time it is after hearing time warp on the radio. Didn't know that he suffered such An impact in his life with a stroke.
My favorite role of his is from Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3; where he was premier of USSR and sayd iconic line: "I am escaping to one place without capitalism... Space!"
Tim, I'm a huge fan. Can I share a story with you? One day I was driving home, when all of a sudden the Lord came to me in spirit. I felt very close to Him. I knew if I asked him to play any song on the radio he would, I guess to bless my faith. So I said "ok, Lord play "Come as you are by Nirvana". I turned on the radio and the song started playing right there on the spot, perfectly… I started getting flooded with chills like a waterfall, crying, and trembling. He stayed with me for 10 minutes in my driveway. until I got outta the car. A couple months after that I started getting amazing prayers answered way more often, because it helped me quit doubting when I pray and I was lined up with biblical instructions. It's 6 years later and I still get answered prayers in Jesus name.
I saw and got an autographed in I think was 1978 or 1979. He was touring for his records . We were at the Roxy and we got there 12 hours before the concert started so we had good seats. Biggest thrill of my life. During the concert I touched his shoe, he was that close to me. We worshipped him back then. Now I’m devastated. Life was cruel to him in the end. Such a tragedy.
Maybe im a bit biased since I'm a wheelchair user myself, but I always find it a little insulting when its considered tragic when someone's using a wheelchair. Absolutely it is sad with illness and not being able to live your life like you used to do, but its still a life worth living and it seems like Tim is adapting. I'm NOT saying its completely fine to just being forced to your body being different than you're used to, but I don't think that Tim Curry wants to be seen as tragic. Because he isn't. Differently bodied than before? Yes. Still got humour and communication skills (somewhat different than before due to strokes, I'm aware)? Yes. It doesn't make me happy that he has had to go through all of this but it makes me happy that he still is as active as his condition is allowing. That is NOT tragic.
He is an amazing person not only as an actor, why is nobody talking about him now 2024. He is amazing, and he is here still with us. My goodness what a beautiful person an amazing voice, nobody in the future will know what, "rocky horror picture show" meant or the movie "IT" as Pennywise the clown. True Icon he is. I would love to meet him if anything. Personal circumstances doesn't allow, but I will do my best, i have to meet him.
The stroke aren't something unknown for me: my foster grandmother had a stroke back in 2010 and although she keep her life for a lot of time (she died in 2021) her left hand was totally disabled even with that stroke my granny Terra keep a positive attitude and a fierce determination to continue. That's probably why i'm feel so concerned by Tim Curry? Tim Curry are some kind of spiritual grandfather and my lifetime model. I wish become his successor
We love you tim! ❤ Oddly enogh my favorite role was from the worst witch....he was only in a few scenes but Its special to me bc that's the first time I saw him (well home alone but the worst witch is when I became a fan.... and I dont really like home Alone, I was so young that I didnt relize is was the same actor till later)
Tim Curry Reminds me of Mick Jagger. He could've played Mick Jagger in a Movie. He could've been a Rock Star himself Actually. And Richard O'Brian is an Incredible Singer and Song Writer.
Most don't know his Music career (as this video failed to highlight) I love his music most. His best albums are Fearless and Simplicity. Read My Lips is his First Album... and he has some LIVE tracks... This I tribute is his sentiment today with his song "Something Short of Paradise"... Don't cry: ruclips.net/video/UfwH244p2HE/видео.html Like this if you like this song.
Obviously none of us know the specifics and that is his right to privacy! But I reckon he has dysarthria, which impacts the coordination of muscles involved in speech, rather than aphasia which is more about difficulties processing language, comprehension or finding the words you want to use
I would love to watch your video on Tim Curry’s life, but Siri is the one that led me to you after asking if Tim was still in a wheelchair today. I will not be watching your video because unfortunately you have a very long history of misinformation in your videos. O'Brian didn't write the role of frank for tim curry, other actors auditioned for the roll. He happened to run into curry when he was out looking for a bodybuilder who could play rocky. Get your facts right !

I always wanted Tim Curry to star in a Billy Joel biopic.
For a while, he was available via Cameo - but sadly, I think he's no longer participating.
He also played in Congo also the high fructose adventures of the annoying orange
