- I interviewed the delightful Tim Curry in 1994 for the movie, "The Shadow." We talked about that film, the advice he received on NOT doing the movie version of "Rocky Horror Picture Show.," as well as how kids react to him, changed endings and more.
The joy in his face when he hears Home Alone 2 is pretty funny. Love Tim
Tim Curry was considered for the role of Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit instead of Christopher Lloyd, but they thought he was too scary, but I personally think he would have done better than Lloyd. Tim Curry was also considered to voice Scar in the Lion King, but he was too busy, but imagine if he just did the singing voice for Scar during the song Be Prepared while Jeremy Irons still did the speaking voice!

Tim Curry is the only actor to properly portray Franknfurter. Every nuance from start to finish in RHPS was epic. Yeah, back in the day, I was one who got all made up and dressed up on Friday nights for the midnight showing for the audience participation while the movie was going on. We had such a great time and fondest memories. Just listening to the first couple notes of the starting song puts the biggest smile on my face. Great times.

RHPS is the stupidest movie I’ve ever seen. And I love it still. It’s weird, wacky, campy shit and the talent in it is just so so good. Not just Tim, but all the leads in it. But Tim Curry is just iconic in it and he gives it hell for the whole film. He’s a crazy person and I will always love everything he’s done because I love his commitment to this absurd role in this absurd film.
Just his grin alone would have made his Joker Epic.

He owned my nightmares when I was a child lol but I do love this actor. Now that I am an adult with adult fears I kinda miss my childhood fears of monsters and … evil clowns 😅!! Amazing actor all around ❤
