We're here to pay tribute at Meat Loaf's tragic passing. Meat Loaf was such a mainstay in my college fraternity parties and road trips of the late 1970s. Not even the timid Brothers could resist belting out the lyrics to "Paradise" at the top of their lungs. RIP, Marvin Lee Aday.

This was a killer SNL episode. I saw it when it first aired. If I recall correctly, Tim did an impersonation of Mick Jagger that slayed.
The whole cast did impressions in the Mick Jagger Television Special. Remember Mick and Frank Sinatra trading songs? lol

Just before the Nov. election, Tim hosted, with a little help from his friends, a Zoom version of Rocky Horror, read from the original play by Richard O'Brien, as a benefit for flipping Wisconsin! It was smashing and while he had trouble with lines, he did great and actually sang a song. I'm rooting for Tim all the way!!!
I used to babysit back in the '80s and regularly watched SNL waiting for the parents to come home. I remember when this episode originally aired and being delighted, especially at Meatloaf's "You got paid?!?" I must have already heard about Rocky Horror but I can't imagine that I had ever seen a midnight showing in a movie theater at that point, since I wasn't yet old enough to drive. We often went to Rocky Horror when I was in college.
Gotta love Meatloaf, he's in 100%, right from the start he was in full carnival barker/preacher mode!

It's hard to pick what my favorite thing about this is, but the fact that the "water pistol" is definitely a recycled Trek prop is probably a top three.
LOL I just watched it this past Halloween at my university, everyone got bags of stuff and a paper telling you when to use them, I had no idea beforehand about how it was a participatory experience and people would shout things out at certain times, it was a blast! Glad I happened upon this skit now so I can understand it XD
I’ve never been but it always seemed so cool to do this live because everyone participates. I doubt anyone at one of these screenings would judge you for the way you look or what you wear. Glad to hear they’ve already started up again post covid.
As Gen Z says, this skit lives rent-free in my head.

I met Meat Loaf at a convention several years ago. I wasn’t a fan or anything, but my friend who couldn’t go to the con wanted an album signed and I said I’d get it for him. Some people were saying Meat Loaf was a kind of jerk and not very friendly. Because I didn’t really care to meet him, and was just getting the signature for my friend, I didn’t really have any expectations. His line at the con was enormous, and I waited for hours. When I finally got up to him, he shook my hand (after I had heard several people say he wouldn’t shake their hand) and he was quite friendly. He signed my friend’s album, and did the usual small
-talk guests do at cons. “How you doing?” “Enjoying the con?” I’m glad that, despite what ai kept hearing about him, my encounter was very nice and I’ll always have that memory.

That's the creepiest last sentence I've seen in my life.
I took my daughter to a full participation viewing of Rocky Horror at the drive-in this October and was thrilled to see she loved it, and him, as much as I always have. It will be one of my best memories I can already tell. 😊

Came here to see Meat LoaF RIP but also pleased to see Tim Kazurinsky, a nearly forgotten SNL cast member who was always one of my favorites, This seems to have been from his first season on the show
Tim Kazurinsky will always be Sweetchuck from the Police Academy movies to me.
@@rickyallen7176 Ya know, I've never seen any Police Academy movies in full from beginning to end, just one they're on TV, I've seen them just in parts. Didn't like them all that much, I remember Steve Guttenberg and the fast-talking black cop who made sound effects, and don't recall Tim K that much from them.
